Rom was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk by the Orioles on Tuesday.

It will be the first stint in the big leagues for Rom, who was added to the Orioles' 40-man roster over the offseason. The left-hander has been starting at Norfolk, posting a 2.87 ERA in six outings, but he'll be pegged for relief duty in Baltimore for now, per Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com.

The Orioles optioned Akin to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Akin claimed a spot in the Baltimore bullpen out of camp this spring, but he'll head down to the farm after struggling to a 5.91 ERA and 1.78 WHIP through 13 appearances covering 10.2 innings. The 28-year-old lefty posted a sharp 3.20 ERA across 81.2 frames with the O's in 2022.

The Yankees recalled Weissert from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Weissert will rejoin the Yankees' bullpen ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Athletics. The 28-year-old righty holds a 2.08 ERA through 4.1 innings of relief this season at the major-league level.

Diekman and the Rays are set to finalize a major-league contract Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

After being released by the White Sox on Saturday, Diekman quickly found a new home with Tampa Bay. The left-hander struggled to an abysmal 7.94 ERA and 2.12 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 11.1 innings in 13 appearances with Chicago this season. Once Diekman's deal is official, he'll provide Tampa Bay with another southpaw out of the bullpen after Garrett Cleavinger recently suffered what is likely a season-ending knee injury.

Adam picked up the save during Monday's 3-0 win over the Orioles, striking out the side over a scoreless ninth inning in which he allowed one hit and didn't walk a batter.

With Pete Fairbanks (forearm) on the injured list, Adam continues to operate as the Rays' go-to closer. He's recorded four saves over his past five outings and holds a 10:1 K:BB during that stretch. Fairbanks has started to play catch again and is eligible to return May 16.

Silseth is the top candidate to replace Jose Suarez (shoulder) in the Angels' rotation, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Given that Silseth is the team's top pitching prospect and worked 3.1 innings in long relief after Suarez left his most recent start Saturday, it seems likely he'll enter the rotation this weekend in Cleveland. Silseth, who turns 23 next week, logged a 0.90 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, 20 strikeouts and a 60.9 percent groundball rate in 20 innings through four starts at Triple-A. He has struggled to hold his mid-90s fastball velocity deep into outings, but he is a more legitimate pitching prospect than his career 5.84 ERA in the majors would indicate.

Smith picked up the save Monday against the Mariners, striking out the side over a perfect inning.

This was a nice bounce-back outing for Smith after blowing a save chance against the Angels on Friday. This was the first time this season the southpaw struck out the side, and he now sports a 3:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio on the year. The 33-year-old journeyman also sports a 1.15 WHIP, further evidence he remains a solid relief option 11 years into his career.

Cuas (2-0) retired the only batter he faced to earn the win in Monday's 12-5 victory over the White Sox.

Cuas got Hanser Alberto to fly out to end the sixth inning. The Royals then rallied for eight runs in their half of the frame, putting Cuas in line for his second win of the campaign. The right-hander hasn't seen a lot of high-leverage looks, though this was one of them as he worked in a tie game. He has a mediocre 5.52 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB through 14.2 innings this season. He could be the player optioned out when Daniel Lynch (shoulder) is activated from the injured list, as the Royals have only four starters on the active roster currently.

Estevez earned a save over the Astros on Monday with a perfect inning that included one strikeout.

Estevez inherited a two-run lead when he took the mound in the ninth, and he retired the side in order on 14 pitches. The right-hander extended his stretch of outings without allowing a run to 10, and he's earned six saves while posting a 14:2 K:BB and yielding just two hits over 10.2 frames over that span. Estevez had a rough spring training and was sharing save opportunities with Jose Quijada (elbow) early in the campaign, but he's firmly cemented his hold on the closer role with the dominant stretch.

Ramirez was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Monday's game against the Athletics. He allowed one walk and struck out one over two scoreless innings.

The Yankees will likely replace Ramirez with a fresh arm after he took care of the final six outs in the series opener. He's allowed two runs on five hits and walked three while fanning four over three appearances in the big leagues this season (6.1 frames).
