Martinez had his contract selected by the Astros on Monday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Martinez has been at Triple-A Sugar Land all season and has a 2.86 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 76:20 K:BB across 56.2 innings. It will be the right-hander's MLB debut if he sees any game action.

Solomon was optioned to Houston's taxi squad on Monday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The right-hander allowed one run over four innings of long relief Sunday and has been removed from the big-league roster in favor of a fresh arm. However, Solomon will remain with the team on the taxi squad and could rejoin the active roster before the end of the season.

Stanek landed on the paternity list Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Players typically spend three days on paternity leave, so Stanek will likely return Thursday. Brandon Bielak was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Payamps will start Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader versus Cleveland, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

The 27-year-old will make his first start the majors with Kansas City set to employ a bullpen game to close out the twin bill. Payamps has pitched two frames in each of his past two outings and is likely to have a similar workload Monday.

Wittgren will start Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader versus the Royals.

Wittgren will make the first start of his MLB career with Cleveland utilizing a bullpen game in the nightcap. The 30-year-old hasn't thrown more than two innings during a single appearance this season and is unlikely to pitch beyond that Monday.

Warren was activated off the COVID-19 injured list Monday.

Warren has been out since late August. He was cleared to return to the team nearly two weeks ago but has been limited to simulated games since then. He's now ready for game action, with Cooper Criswell heading to the minors to clear a spot in the bullpen.

Criswell was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

Criswell was recalled Saturday, but he didn't make any appearances during his stint with the major-league club. He'll head back to Salt Lake, where he's recorded a 6.75 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 36 innings across seven starts this year.

The Blue Jays will include Hatch (hamstring) on their taxi squad for their seven-game road trip that begins Monday in Tampa Bay, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Hatch isn't expected to be added to the 28-man active roster unless the Blue Jays need lose a pitcher to an injury or need someone to eat innings out of the bullpen, but his inclusion on the taxi squad is an indication nonetheless that he's moved past the hamstring issue he picked up his last appearance with the big club Sept. 11 in Baltimore. The Blue Jays optioned Hatch to Triple-A Buffalo a day later, but he didn't make an appearance for the affiliate before joining the taxi squad.

Kittredge landed on the 10-day injured list with neck tightness Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The initial diagnosis doesn't sound too severe, so this could simply be the Rays looking to give one of their best relievers a bit of rest as they coast to the finish, trusting that their 6.5-game division lead should be more than enough with two weeks left to play. Kittredge has been excellent this season, and while his 1.55 ERA isn't quite backed up by his 2.93 FIP and 3.08 xFIP, his combination of a 27.5 percent strikeout rate, 5.6 percent walk rate and 54.0 percent groundball rate makes him a very reliable option. He hasn't pitched since Friday, so the Rays can backdate his assignment by two days, leaving him eligible to return Sept. 28 for the final two series of the season.

The Royals selected Coleman's contract from Triple-A Omaha ahead of Monday's doubleheader in Cleveland.

Coleman receives his first big-league call-up after compiling a 3.28 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, a 93:22 K:BB and a .186 batting average against over 57.2 innings between Omaha and Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Though he picked up seven saves in the minors this season, Coleman will likely be ticketed for a low-leverage role with the Royals.
