The Royals recalled Junis from Triple-A Omaha to start Tuesday's game against Cleveland, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

The righty has pitched well in his last two outings for Omaha, striking out six and allowing three hits in 7.1 scoreless innings. Junis is unlikely to pitch deep into Tuesday's game, as it's his first big-league appearance since June 3 and he hasn't lasted more than 4.1 frames in an outing since returning from injury at Triple-A. He was unimpressive earlier this season with the Royals, posting a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 34.2 innings.

Robertson has been added to Tampa Bay's taxi squad and is expected to be called up from Triple-A Durham when rosters expand to 28 players Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Robertson inked a minor-league contract with the Rays on Aug. 16. Tommy John surgery has limited the veteran right-hander to just seven major-league innings since the beginning of 2019, but his excellent track record still makes him an intriguing addition to an already-strong bullpen. Robertson figures to see the bulk of his work in lower-leverage innings initially, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him earn some work in key spots if he's able to pitch well during his first few outings.

The Astros sent Scrubb (shoulder) to the rookie-level Florida Complex League to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday.

After being deactivated July 19 due to a strained left shoulder before being moved to the 60-day injured list, Scrubb won't be eligible to rejoin the Astros until the second half of September. With that in mind, he'll likely be in store for an extended minor-league rehab assignment that will presumably include stops at multiple affiliates. If he makes it back to Houston before season's end, Scrubb will likely be relegated to low-leverage work out of the bullpen.

Tate (0-4) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Monday versus Toronto.

The 27-year-old got the last out of the fifth inning, but struggled when he came back to the mound in the sixth. Tate allowed a game-tying RBI single to Bo Bichette and a two-run double to Teoscar Hernandez before Marcos Diplan was called upon to finish the frame. The ugly outing Monday ended a 7.2-inning scoreless streak for Tate. He has a 4.58 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB across 55 innings this season.

Mayers allowed two runs on three hits while striking out a batter over two innings of work Monday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.

Mayers started Monday's game and opened it up by allowing back-to-back doubles and a single. He was able to limit the damage by inducing a double play, but the Angels still went down into an early 2-0 hole. He would end up tossing a 1-2-3 second inning and his day was over after 29 pitches. The 29-year-old righty owns a 4.23 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 75:20 K:BB over 61.2 innings.

Iglesias pitched a perfect ninth inning Monday and struck out two batters to pick up his 28th save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Yankees.

Iglesias had to face the top of the Yankees' order and mowed them down on 10 pitches. He opened the frame with a strikeout of DJ LeMahieu and ended the game punching out Aaron Judge. It was his first save since Aug. 18 as he's now tied with Josh Hader for the third-most saves in baseball. The 31-year-old righty now owns a 2.75 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and then 89:9 K:BB over 59 innings.

Peralta (4-3) allowed one run on one hit and a walk while striking out two over an inning of work as he took the loss Monday against the Angels.

Peralta entered in the eighth trying to preserve a 7-7 tie. He gave up a leadoff single to Brandon Marsh, who would end up advancing to third on two groundouts before being brought home on a base hit from Juan Lagares. Raisel Iglesias would shut the Yankees down the following inning to end the game. Monday's run was Peralta's first given up in 11 appearances this month. He now sits at a 3.76 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB over 38.1 innings.

Patino (4-3) picked up the win in Monday's 6-1 victory over the Red Sox, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

The rookie right-hander came up one out shy of his third quality start of the season, tossing 102 pitches (67 strikes) before exiting. The workload is encouraging, and the Rays seem confident the 21-year-old won't need to be treated with kid gloves down the stretch, although they have used their pitching depth to give everyone in the rotation extra rest days. In seven outings since the All-Star break, Patino has a 3.89 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB through 37 innings.

Romano struck out one in two-thirds of an inning to record his 14th save of the season in a 7-3 win over the Orioles.

It didn't look like Romano's services would be needed headed into the ninth inning, but Trent Thornton gave up one run on two hits and a walk, putting the tying run on deck and prompting manager Charlie Montoyo to turn to his closer. Romano has been scored upon only once in 12 appearances in August, posting a 1.42 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB through 12.2 innings on the month with two wins and five saves.

Barlow secured his third save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Rockies on Monday. He needed just seven pitches to get through three batters, completing a perfect inning.

Monday marked Barlow's first appearance since Aug. 19 after he spent some time on the 10-day injured list for a finger blister. The 25-year-old was thrown right back into the closer's role upon his return and was able to shut down the Rockies for his third save in as many attempts. Barlow now owns a 1.02 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB over 17.2 innings at the major-league level.
