Otto allowed just two hits while striking out seven over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus Houston on Friday.

The right-hander recorded a 3.20 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A to begin the season, but he was just about untouchable in his major-league debut. Unfortunately for Otto, Texas' bullpen let a four-run lead slip away in the seventh, denying the starter a win. The 25-year-old could be a candidate to stay in the rotation with Texas missing three regular starters on the COVID-19 injured list. If he gets another start, it would likely be a home date versus Colorado next week.

Maton (3-0) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out two in one inning to earn the win Friday versus Texas.

The right-hander had an ugly sixth inning, but Houston rallied for all five of its runs in the seventh to put Maton in line for the win. It was his first decision since he joined Houston at the trade deadline. The 28-year-old has struggled mightily in his last 11 appearances, giving up nine runs (eight earned) in his last 11.1 innings, so he should be expected to mostly work in a low-leverage spots in a deep Houston bullpen.

Pressly allowed two hits in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-4 win over Texas.

The save was Pressly's 20th in 22 chances this year. The 32-year-old has excelled in his first full season as a closer, with a sparkling 1.90 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 65:9 K:BB across 52 innings. He's allowed just one run on six hits and a walk while striking out 10 in eight innings in August, although he's picked up just two saves, a win and a blown save in eight appearances for the month.

Colome struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Brewers on Friday.

Colome quickly worked a perfect ninth inning Friday, throwing 10-of-13 pitches for strikes and earning his eighth save of the year. He coughed up four runs and blew two saves over his last two outings and he's now 8-for-14 in save chances this season. Colome is sporting a 4.44 ERA and a 41:20 K:BB over 48.2 innings.

Cisnero (3-4) worked around a walk to pitch a scoreless inning of relief and earn the win Friday against the Blue Jays.

Cisnero handled the eighth inning of a 1-1 game and picked up the win when the Tigers scored in the bottom half of the frame. The righty has been solid this year with a 2.72 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. He also has four saves. Gregory Soto earned the save Friday and leads the team with 16, and Michael Fulmer is also a notch ahead of Cisnero in the bullpen pecking order, keeping the latter's fantasy value capped for the time being, though he's still been able to contribute here and there.

Soto pitched a clean ninth inning to record the save Friday against the Blue Jays. He struck out one.

Soto needed just eight pitches to work through the ninth inning and preserve the Tigers' 2-1 win. The lefty now has a team-high 16 saves in 17 chances this season. Michael Fulmer and, to a lesser extent, Jose Cisnero remain in the mix for saves, but Soto remains the top fantasy option in the Detroit bullpen for the moment.

Ottavino collected the save pitching a scoreless ninth inning with one walk and two strikeouts in a 4-3 win over Cleveland on Friday.

Ottavino worked around a leadoff walk and stolen base from pinch-runner Andres Gimenez in the ninth to secure save No. 9 of the season. The veteran reliever has now worked five consecutive scoreless outings out of the bullpen, and carries a 3.51 ERA as we inch closer to September.

King (finger) threw live batting practice Friday, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

King began his throwing program Tuesday, and manager Aaron Boone said Friday that the right-hander might start a rehab assignment soon. The 27-year-old will presumably require several rehab appearances since he's been on the injured list since early July, but he's made significant progress in his recovery recently.

Naughton was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Naughton returned to the minors Aug. 11 and tossed five scoreless innings across his two most recent appearances. The southpaw allowed one run in a relief inning during his major-league debut Aug. 8 and will be available as a low-leverage reliever.

Staumont (undisclosed) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Friday.

Staumont was placed on the injured list for an unspecified reason Thursday, but he'll rejoin the bullpen a day later. Across his last five appearances, the right-hander has earned four holds with a 2.08 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in 4.1 innings.
