King did not factor into the decision during Thursday's win over the Blue Jays. He allowed three runs on five hits and a pair of walks while striking out one across 4.1 innings.

King was able to keep the ball in the park, but he couldn't go the distance, throwing 60 pitches -- 41 for strikes -- and leaving the game with a runner on first and one out in the fifth. In four starts since filling in for Corey Kluber in the rotation, King has collected two losses and 13 runs (11 earned) over 15.2 innings. The right-hander lines up to take his next turn at home Wednesday against Kansas City.

Lopez (2-8) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three across 4.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against Cleveland.

Lopez was tagged for three home runs, two of which came in the opening inning. After maintaining a 3.68 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with 20 strikeouts in 22 innings during four-start stretch from May 21 to June 6, Lopez has surrendered 10 earned runs in nine innings of work across his last two outings. Overall, Lopez has a poor 5.95 ERA paired with a 65:27 K:BB across 65 frames.

Edwards (oblique) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Edwards landed on the 10-day IL with a strained left oblique Wednesday, and the injury will apparently force him to miss at least two months. The righty won't be eligible to return until at least mid-August. Outfielder Jared Hoying's contract was selected as part of a corresponding move.

Kelley (elbow) is building back up after being shut down with elbow inflammation in late May, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The highly-rated pitching prospect felt elbow soreness when throwing after his May 22 start, so he was shut down as a precaution. Because of the time off, Kelley will require some time to build up and ready himself for minor-league starts once again.

Burdi was recalled by the White Sox on Thursday.

Burdi has spent most of the year with Triple-A Charlotte and has posted a 5.59 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in 9.2 innings across nine relief appearances. The right-hander has made just one appearance with the major-league club in 2021 but should be available as a low-leverage reliever in the near future after outfielder Adam Eaton (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Santana was traded from the Dodgers to the Rangers on Thursday in exchange for left-hander Kelvin Bautista.

Santana was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Saturday, and he'll now head to Triple-A Round Rock to begin his time with his new organization. The right-hander made 16 relief appearances for Los Angeles to begin the year and posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.93 WHIP in 15 innings.

Yang was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Thursday.

Yang has made four starts and four relief appearances since joining the Rangers on a minor-league deal over the winter. He hasn't particularly impressed, struggling to a 5.59 ERA in 29 innings while combining a 15.0 percent strikeout rate with an 11.8 percent walk rate. Given those numbers and the fact that the rest of the league passed up the chance to give him a major-league contract during the offseason, it's unlikely the 33-year-old gets claimed off waivers.

McHugh (undisclosed) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Thursday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

McHugh landed on the injured list Wednesday for an unspecified reason, and he apparently didn't test positive for COVID-19 since he'll return to the team just one day later. The right-hander should be available going forward following the brief absence. He's been one of the most productive relievers for the Rays of late, as he's posted a 0.50 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB in 18 innings across his last 11 appearances.

Thielbar (1-0) earned the win in relief Wednesday against the Mariners after allowing one run on two hits and four strikeouts across two innings.

Thielbar allowed Seattle's first run of the game on an RBI single from Shed Long, but he was solid the rest of the way and earned the win in his return from a nearly two-week stint on the injured list. The southpaw now owns a 4.30 ERA across 23 innings in 21 appearances this season.

Cleveland manager Terry Francona said Morgan will start Thursday's game against the Orioles, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Morgan wasn't needed in long relief the past two days after being called up from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, so he'll slot into a Cleveland rotation that's without two of its top starters in Shane Bieber (shoulder) and Zach Plesac (thumb). The 25-year-old right-hander was roughed up in his MLB debut back on May 28, serving up six runs on eight hits and two walks over 2.2 innings in a loss to Toronto.
