Torres agreed to a minor-league contract with the Twins on Tuesday, Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors reports.

He recently elected free agency rather than an outright assignment to Triple-A as a member of the Tigers, but the deal with the Twins was apparently more to his liking. Torres will serve as organizational relief depth going forward.

Scott was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Tuesday.

Scott allowed 10 runs (eight earned) in 7.2 innings for the Mariners this season. He didn't fare all that much better in 35 innings for Triple-A Tacoma, posting a 6.43 ERA. He'll be optioned to Triple-A Norfolk by the Orioles, with Sean Gilmartin designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

McHugh (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

McHugh had been out for over a month with elbow soreness. He began the season as a starter but was moved to the bullpen shortly before getting injured and is likely to fill that role again this time around. A return to the rotation can't be ruled out at some point down the line, though he'll have to improve significantly on his 6.04 ERA if he's to earn that chance.

Santiago will start for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Santiago pops up on the radar after the White Sox designated Odrisamer Despaigne for assignment Monday. Chicago has three healthy starters and will go with a bullpen game Tuesday, so it needs bodies for the rotation. Santiago served as a starter in the minor leagues with the Mets earlier this season and last started May 16 (seven innings) for Triple-A Syracuse. On his current five-day schedule, he could join the major-league club this weekend, possibly to start Sunday at home against the Twins.

Puk (elbow), who recorded two strikeouts and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks across two innings in High-A Stockton's win over San Jose on Friday, is projected to make his major-league debut sometime in August, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The towering left-hander owns a 6.00 ERA across six innings over three rehab starts thus far, although he's also logged an impressive nine strikeouts over that stretch. Puk is expected to make stops at both the Double-A and Triple-A levels during his rehab assignment, and he's likely to be utilized out of the bullpen upon activation before converting back to a starter in 2020.

Chapman gave up an unearned run on one hit and struck out one to record his 22nd save of the season in Monday's 10-8 win over the Blue Jays.

The lefty closer now has a dazzling 1.20 ERA on the year, in large part because his defense keeps letting him down -- Chapman's been scored upon three times in his last 11 appearances, but he hasn't actually been charged with an earned run since May 9. His 42:9 K:BB through 30 innings also suggests that ERA is a fair reflection of his overall performance.

Fulmer will start Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

With the White Sox dealing with multiple injuries to their starting rotation, Fulmer will get the ball first for what is expected to be a bullpen game Tuesday. In nine relief appearances with the big club this season, Fulmer owns a 6.35 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 13:11 K:BB in 11.1 innings.

Garcia tossed five no-hit innings for Double-A Trenton on Monday, striking out nine and walking two in a 7-0 victory for the Thunder.

After bagging 15 strikeouts in his last trip to the mound, Garcia was filthy once again, cruising through five hitless innings and notching nine more punchouts before his teammates eventually finished off the combined no-hitter. The 20-year-old has now allowed just one hit with a 24:3 K:BB over his last two starts, lowering his ERA to 2.68 over 64.2 combined innings between Trenton and High-A Tampa. If he keeps pitching like this, a move to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre could be in his near future.

Yacabonis will serve as the opener for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Yacabonis has served as the opener one other time this season, allowing one hit and striking out one across two innings in that outing. Josh Rogers figures to cover the bulk of innings behind the right-handed Yacabonis, who owns a 4.70 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB in 23 innings this season.

Torres cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

A 36-year-old with just 15.2 innings and an ERA of nearly 7 over the last two seasons was understandably not a particularly enticing option on the waiver wire. Torres will remain in an organizational depth role for the Tigers.
