Yarbrough (4-2) allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out four across seven innings to take the loss Sunday against the Twins.

Yarbrough was hit hard throughout the middle of his start, with all of his earned runs coming in the third, fourth, and fifth innings. He didn't allow a home run but gave up a bases-clearing double by C.J. Cron that accounted for three of his seven charged runs. Yarbrough has been deployed as both a traditional starter and bulk reliever this season, though to this point he's been unable to replicate his success from the 2018 season. It remains to be seen how he's used in the coming week, but he appears likely to pitch at some point in the team's weekend series at Boston.

Rogers struck out the side to earn his fifth save of the season Sunday against the Rays.

Rogers took over in the final inning with a two-run lead and made short order of the Rays, striking out three batters in just 11 pitches. The Twins continue to mix and match their closers, though it's worth noting that Rogers recorded the final out in two of the four games against the Rays, though he was credited with a win rather than a save after retiring the final seven batters of Friday's contest. Rogers looks likely to split the majority of the team's save opportunities with Blake Parker for the remainder of the season.

Johnson will make a rehab appearance Tuesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Johnson has been appearing in rehab outings since the middle of May, with his most recent coming on Thursday with Double-A Portland. He's expected to make his next appearance with Triple-A Pawtucket, though it's unclear how long he'll pitch or when he might be activated from the injured list. He hasn't fared well in his four rehab outings to this point, surrendering nine earned runs across 7.2 innings.

Colome closed out Sunday's 2-0 win over Cleveland to pick up the save. He worked around a leadoff double and struck out one in one inning.

Colome remains perfect for the season, posting his 12th save in 12 opportunities. The rebuilding White Sox have been suspected that they'd trade Colome to a contending team that might not use him for consistent save chances. However, Sunday's win was Chicago's sixth in the last seven games, putting it within shouting distance of the second wild-card spot. If the White Sox remain in contention, they are less likely to deal Colome and, in turn, would leave him in their closer role.

Betances (shoulder) could face hitters this week Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

Betances has been throwing off a mound and participating in bullpen sessions over the past week. With no issues reported, he's ready to take the next step in his recovery and could throw live batting practice Wednesday. Assuming that goes well, the team may announce a timeline for his return, which may be sometime in June.

The Angels optioned Curtiss to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Curtiss was the casualty after the Angels needed a spot on the active roster for Jose Suarez, who is scheduled to start Sunday's series finale in Seattle. The right-hander will slot into the bullpen at Salt Lake, where he had posted a 5.91 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 21.1 innings prior to being promoted to the majors a few days ago.

The Twins optioned Littell to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Littell lost his spot on the active roster after the Twins reinstated Mitch Garver (ankle) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Rays. The 23-year-old right-hander was up with the big club for a little over a week, making two appearances out of the bullpen during that stretch. Littell was shelled in the latter of those two outings Thursday against the Rays, giving up eight runs on 10 hits and a walk over 4.1 innings.

The Indians recalled Smith from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Even though Smith was sent back to Triple-A just five days ago, he'll be able to return to the big club before the minimum 10 days after the Indians placed fellow reliever Dan Otero (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list. While he's up with Cleveland, Smith will likely be limited to a mop-up role out of the bullpen, at least initially.

The Rays recalled Kolarek from Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Despite being optioned to Durham one day earlier, Kolarek will be able to return to Tampa Bay before the minimum 10 days after fellow reliever Jose Alvarado was placed on the family medical list. While he's up with the big club, Kolarek could settle back into a setup role after previously capturing nine holds over his 29 appearances with the Rays.

The Rays placed Alvarado on the family medical list Sunday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

The transaction means Alvarado will remain away from the team for a minimum of three days and a maximum of seven. The hard-throwing lefty's temporary absence clears some clutter in the Rays' closer committee, with Diego Castillo and Emilio Pagan now representing the clear top candidates for saves in the interim. Adam Kolarek was recalled from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move to add another arm to the Tampa Bay bullpen.
