Chavez will open Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

The Rangers have elected to deploy an opener for Tuesday's matchup, and Adrian Sampson will serve the primary pitcher once Chavez is lifted. The right-hander owns a 4.55 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 27.2 frames this season.

Leclerc was removed from Monday's game against Seattle due to cramping in both calves, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The diagnosis could be construed as good news for Leclerc, who was forced to leave the contest with the trainer. Given the nature of the issue, he should be available to pitch again sometime within the next few days.

De Leon (elbow) fired two scoreless innings in Triple-A Durham's win over Charlotte on Monday, allowing two hits and three walks while recording two strikeouts.

De Leon technically upped his pitch count over his last rehab start, as he fired 53 offerings overall after hitting 52 last Tuesday against Norfolk. Even more important was the fact De Leon extended his Triple-A scoreless streak to 7.2 innings across three starts, and to 10.2 innings overall at the minor-league level. The right-hander may only need one more rehab appearance before being considered for activation.

Leclerc was removed from Monday's game against the Mariners due to an undisclosed injury, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Leclerc had reportedly been dealing with some shoulder stiffness following Saturday's matchup, which is why he was unavailable Sunday, though it was thought to be minor. It's unclear if he was lifted from Monday night's matchup with the same issue.

Chapman allowed one hit but still recorded his 15th save of the year in a 5-2 victory against the Padres on Monday.

Despite the hit, Chapman retired the Padres on 11 pitches in large part because he didn't record any strikeouts. This was the first time all season Chapman didn't register a punchout during an outing. He is 15-for-16 in save chances with a 1.66 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 21.2 innings this season.

Green struck out the side during the first inning as an opener against the Padres on Monday.

His first two appearances as an opener this year did not go well, as he allowed three runs in 2.2 innings, but this outing couldn't have gone better. For the second time this season, Green struck out the side. The right-hander still has a long way to go, though, to bring his numbers back to a respectable level. He is 0-2 with a 11.30 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in 14.1 innings over 16 appearances during 2019.

Treinen picked up the save after allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Monday against the Angels.

Treinen retired the first two batters of the inning without issue, and after giving up a single to Tommy La Stella, he managed to fan Mike Trout to end the contest. The right-hander did blow a save May 11 against the Indians, but he's converted on five straight save opportunities since.

Betances (shoulder) threw 25 pitches off a mound Monday, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

Betances has been out all season while dealing with shoulder inflammation. He only threw his fastball in Monday's session, but it's still progress to see him throw off a mound after previously being limited to flat-ground work. He's tracking towards a return sometime in June.

Yarbrough will serve as the primary pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Yarbrough tossed 7.1 strong frames in his last outing against the Indians, surrendering just two runs on four hits and a walk while fanning four. Though he's not starting Tuesday, he'll still have a chance to work deep enough into the game to qualify for a win.

Stanek will open Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Stanek tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in his last appearance as an opener Sunday, and he's set to make his 15th "start" of the season. Ryan Yarbrough is slated to handle the bulk of the innings once Stanek's outing comes to an end.
