Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Start moved to Monday
McHugh's next scheduled start has been moved to Monday against the Rangers, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
McHugh had been scheduled to start Sunday's game, but the Astros will push him back a day and send Lance McCullers to the hill Sunday instead. McHugh picked up a win when he last took the mound Tuesday, as he allowed just one run and struck out five batters over five innings against the White Sox.

Warwick Saupold RP | DET
Tigers' Warwick Saupold: Allows run Thursday
Saupold allowed one run in one-third of an inning Thursday against the Twins.
Saupold's ERA continues to climb this season, rising to 4.80 after Thursday's performance. Over his last 11 appearances, he has given up 13 runs in only 10.2 innings -- demonstrating that he is prone to giving up the big inning. However, there's hope that he can become more than just a low-leverage pitcher out of the bullpen, since he's pitched well in Triple-A over the last two seasons (ERA of 2.90 in 2017 and 2.30 in 2016).

Buck Farmer RP | CIN
Tigers' Buck Farmer: Cleared for Sunday start
Farmer (shoulder) has been cleared to make his next scheduled start Sunday against the Twins, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Farmer was battered for five runs (four earned) over 2.2 innings to take the loss in Monday's start to the Athletics and exited the contest with tightness in his trapezius muscle. The injury looked like it could prevent Farmer from completing a two-start week, but he's apparently resumed throwing without pain, prompting manager Brad Ausmus to call upon the right-hander to take the hill for the series finale. Even if he proves to be 100 percent healthy for Sunday's turn, Farmer is probably worth avoiding in most settings, as he's been lit up for 19 runs (17 earned) over 20.1 innings in his five starts since rejoining the Tigers' rotation.

Chih-Wei Hu RP | TB
Rays' Chih-Wei Hu: Officially joins Rays on Thursday
Hu officially joined the Rays from Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 23-year-old right-hander turned in a solid body of work with the Bulls in 2017, generating a 3.06 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB in 61.1 innings across 31 appearances, including four starts. Hu has also logged eight innings at the big-league level this season, ringing up nine strikeouts while posting a 1.13 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in four appearances.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Tigers' Daniel Norris: Confirmed as Friday's starter
Norris has been confirmed as the starter of Friday's game against the Twins, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
He actually has been better as a starter this year than out of the bullpen, but his 5.29 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 79 strikeouts in 85 innings as a starter still don't inspire any confidence. Norris has had a rough go of things in 2017, but will still likely get a look as a starter again in 2018 as the Tigers embrace a youth movement.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Struggles early in Thursday's loss
Andriese (5-4) took the loss Thursday in Baltimore after allowing three runs on seven hits with one walk and eight strikeouts over six innings.
Andriese got off to a slow start, allowing three runs in the first inning thanks to a Manny Machado two-run homer and a Trey Mancini RBI single. While he held Baltimore off the board after that, the early damage was enough to hand Andriese the loss with opposing starter Gabriel Ynoa hurling eight innings of one-run ball. He's struggled with the long ball in four starts since returning from a long-term hip injury, allowing five home runs and 16 earned runs in 17 innings. The 28-year-old righty will close out his campaign Wednesday with a tough matchup at Yankee Stadium.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Exits early with blister
Fulmer left Thursdays start against the Astros in the first inning with a blister on his right index finger.
He recorded one out and walked two batters while throwing just nine of his 20 pitches for strikes. Chris Volstad came in to relieve him, and was able to prevent the baserunners from scoring, so at least Fulmer's ERA didn't take a hit. Consider him questionable for his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Angels.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Exits in first inning with injury
Fulmer left Thursday's game against the Astros in the first inning with an apparent injury.
He recorded one out and walked two batters while throwing just nine of his 20 pitches for strikes. Chris Volstad relieved him. His status will be updated when the injury is specified.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Utilized in low-leverage scenario in loss
Diaz fired a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Rangers, allowing one hit.
Manager Scott Servais opted to give Diaz some work after he'd last taken the mound Sept. 13. The 23-year-old right-hander has only had one hiccup this month, a Sept. 6 outing versus the Astros in which he surrendered two earned runs over an inning while taking his sixth loss of the season. Diaz has largely fulfilled expectations overall in his first full-time campaign as closer, converting 32 of 36 save opportunities while racking up 84 strikeouts over 62.1 innings.

Ryne Stanek RP | STL
Rays' Ryne Stanek: Pitches to contact in one-inning appearance
Stanek allowed an earned run on two hits and a walk over an inning in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Cubs. He also recorded two strikeouts.
Stanek has had a rough go of it since being recalled from Triple-A Durham upon rosters expanding in September. He's now allowed an earned run in four of his five appearances, leading to an 8.31 ERA across 4.1 innings. The 26-year-old right-hander does bring plenty of strikeout upside, already having racked up nine whiffs over that span. However, he's allowed 12 earned runs over 11 frames in his last nine major-league appearances overall, a stretch that's seen his ERA rise from 1.29 to 6.88.
