Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Rays' Brad Boxberger: Dominant inning-plus outing in loss
Boxberger struck out all four batters he faced in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Indians.
Boxberger impressively disposed of Yan Gomes, Bradley Zimmer, Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor on 16 pitches, 13 of which he threw for strikes. The dominant outing was an extension of a strong stretch for the right-hander, one that's seen him post five consecutive scoreless appearances while compiling a 9:0 K:BB and lowering his ERA to 2.87.

Trevor May RP | ATH
Twins' Trevor May: Increases throwing distance to 60 feet
May (elbow) posted on his personal Twitter account Monday that he will soon throw from 60 feet off flat ground.
May kicked off his throwing program about two weeks ago after he was limited in workouts for nearly five months following Tommy John surgery in March. The right-hander will move slowly through the rehab process and is expected to still be restricted when spring training begins next February, but he could rejoin the Twins as a starter or reliever at some point in 2018.

Jose Leclerc RP | SD
Rangers' Jose Leclerc: Tosses scoreless frame Sunday
Leclerc walked one batter during a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Astros.
Since picking up a save July 23 and fueling speculation that he could be a regular part of the Rangers' unsettled closing situation, Leclerc has been used exclusively in non-save situations. Aside from a bumpy outing Friday in which he allowed three runs over two thirds of an inning, Leclerc has been generally solid since the All-Star break, likely keeping him in line as the top setup man to Alex Claudio. However, with Claudio performing even better than Leclerc over that time, it doesn't look as though manager Jeff Banister will consider a closing change any time soon.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Ready to return Monday
Fulmer (elbow) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list to start Monday against the Rangers, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The corresponding move to open up a spot on the 25-man roster for Fulmer took place after Sunday's game, when Bruce Rondon was optioned to Triple-A Toledo. Fulmer missed two weeks with his injury, which was diagnosed in the days following a start on the road against the Yankees on July 31 in which he allowed six earned runs on seven hits over six innings.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Picks up win in extra innings
Kimbrel (4-0) struck out two over 1.1 innings to earn the victory in Boston's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Yankees.
Kimbrel entered a tied game in the bottom of the ninth, so he didn't have a chance at a save, but he was closer-like, shutting down all four batters faced.

Ken Giles RP | ATL
Astros' Ken Giles: Works two-inning save Sunday
Giles allowed a hit and struck out two over two innings to pick up his 23rd save in Sunday's 2-1 win over Texas.
With the Astros bullpen having been the worst in the majors since the All-Star break (5.45 ERA) and the team riding a five-game losing streak, manager A.J. Hinch wasn't fooling around with this one. When Chris Devenski began the eighth inning with two walks, the manager went to Giles, who squelched that rally and then worked around a ninth-inning single to record his first save since July 28. There could be more multi-inning save attempts going forward for Giles until Hinch finds some stability among the setup crew, which was bolstered Sunday when Houston acquired Tyler Clippard from the White Sox.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Goes three innings in first rehab start
Andriese (hip) allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk over three-plus innings in High-A Charlotte's loss to Bradenton on Sunday. He recorded a pair of strikeouts.
Andriese wasn't at his sharpest, especially considering the level of competition, but the most important aspect of his outing was that he apparently got through it without setbacks. According to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times, the right-hander threw 35 of his 51 pitches for strikes. Andriese is slated for multiple starts in the minors before a return to the big-league club.

Kendall Graveman RP | ARI
Athletics' Kendall Graveman: Finally earns victory
Graveman (3-3) gave up eight hits but only two earned runs Sunday in a 9-3 win over the Orioles. He also struck out eight and walked one.
The victory is the first for Graveman since way back on April 8, as he spent nearly three months sidelined with a shoulder injury. Since returning from the disabled list on Aug. 3, he's allowed a whopping 23 hits (and 12 earned runs) over just 14.1 innings (three starts), so those desperate for pitching in deeper leagues would be wise to look elsewhere while Graveman is failing to miss bats.

Trevor Hildenberger RP | SF
Twins' Trevor Hildenberger: Notches first career save
Hildenberger struck out three and allowed just one hit in 1.1 innings to earn his first save of the season Sunday against the Tigers.
Hildenberger earned his first career save in fashion, striking out three of five batters he faced and recording the final four outs of the contest. The 26-year-old has been solid since earning a promotion near the end of June, compiling a 3.13 ERA and 26:3 K:BB through 23 innings of relief. Matt Belisle, who is ahead of Hildenberger in line for saves at the moment, blew a save in Saturday's game against Detroit, so an opportunity could arise should the two continue to trend in opposite directions.

Austin Pruitt RP | TEX
Rays' Austin Pruitt: Fires third straight quality start
Pruitt allowed three runs on four hits and a walk through six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Indians. He struck out three.
Pruitt has now hurled three consecutive quality starts, and he appears to be settling into his place in the Rays' rotation. Since joining the big-league rotation at the end of July, the 27-year-old owns a solid 3.47 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in four starts. He'll look to keep things rolling Friday against the Mariners.
