Chris Beck RP | STL
White Sox's Chris Beck: Leaves game after being hit
Beck left Sunday's game against the Athletics after being hit in the back of the left knee by a line drive, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
The ball off the bat of Oakland's Khris Davis caused enough pain that the White Sox felt it would be prudent to remove Beck. The team later announced that he is day-to-day with a bruised left hamstring. Beck doesn't normally enter in high-leverage situations but has a 3.21 ERA in 28 innings of relief this season.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Tosses simulated game Saturday
McHugh (elbow) completed a simulated game with all of his pitches Saturday and will head to the minors for a rehab start next week, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
McHugh recently threw live batting practice and appears to be making strides with the injury that has caused him to miss all of the 2017 season thus far. With a rehab assignment on the horizon, McHugh could be back with the club before the All-Star break barring any setbacks.

Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Tosses bullpen session
Johnson (shoulder) threw a bullpen session over the weekend, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
Johnson strictly threw fastballs during his first time throwing since being placed on the disabled list June 15. He will likely need more time before coming back to Boston, with a couple rehab games sprinkled in. With Doug Fister joining the team, the Red Sox are stressing precaution with Johnson, even though his injury shouldn't sideline him for long.

Eduardo Paredes RP | DET
Angels' Eduardo Paredes: Optioned to Triple-A
Paredes was sent back down to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Paredes will head back to Triple-A after getting called up for the first time in his career just two days ago. The right-hander earned an appearance in the big leagues against Boston on Friday, giving up two earned runs off two hits in 2.2 innings. Paredes is likely to get another opportunity with the club in the near future, especially with the numbers he has been putting up in Salt Lake this season.

Jordan Jankowski RP | LAA
Astros' Jordan Jankowski: Recalled Saturday
Jankowski will be promoted from Triple-A Fresno on Saturday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Jankowski didn't fare well during his first taste of the majors, allowing six runs over 3.1 innings. He's had mixed results at Fresno, but will provide the Astros with some depth out of the bullpen temporarily. However, his stay with the big club may not last beyond Brad Peacock's paternity leave.

Tyler Duffey RP | KC
Twins' Tyler Duffey: Move to bullpen pays dividends
Duffey has a 3.68 ERA and 9.6 K/9 in his first season as a reliever.
It's beginning to look like the Twins made the right choice in moving their young pitcher to the bullpen. After posting an ERA of 6.43 with 7.7 K/9 in 26 starts last season, the right-hander has shown great improvement in both categories this season. Add on the six holds he's recorded along the way, and this season could be the start of a bright future for the 26-year-old.

Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Rays' Brad Boxberger: Return bumped to Tuesday
Boxberger (back) is expected to return from the disabled Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He reportedly felt some soreness in his oblique following Wednesday's outing and will throw a side session Sunday to ensure it's okay.
Boxberger believes the soreness isn't anything to worry about, so unless something pops up following Sunday's side session, it seems he will be ready to rejoin the bullpen Tuesday. He will likely be eased back into duties in the bullpen initially, but could figure into the late-inning mix for the Rays if he rounds into form.

Warwick Saupold RP | DET
Tigers' Warwick Saupold: Former starter adjusting well to bullpen role
Saupold has a 2.53 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 21.1 innings over 13 appearances this season.
Primarily being used in long relief, the Australian pitcher has only allowed runs to score in two appearances this season, albeit three runs each time. Saupold is holding batters to a .241 average against him and is handing out walks at a rate of 2.1 per nine innings.

Miguel Castro RP | CHW
Orioles' Miguel Castro: Optioned to Double-A
Castro was optioned to Double-A Bowie on Saturday, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
Castro has struggled out of the bullpen since his recall last week, allowing seven runs (five earned) over eight innings in his last six appearances. He will attempt to sort things out with the team's Double-A affiliate, while Stefan Crichton will replace him on the 25-man roster and in the bullpen.

Buddy Boshers RP | HOU
Twins' Buddy Boshers: Buckling down with runners on
Boshers has an ERA of 2.77 with a WHIP of 1.31 in 13 innings since being brought to the majors at the end of May.
It's been an impressive month for the left-handed reliever, who is being used as a long reliever in games that starters don't pitch very deep. Now in his third season, the biggest change for Boshers from his first two years has been his ability to strand runners. Overall, he has stranded 82.4 percent of batters who get on base in 2017 compared to the marks of 64.1 and 61.9 he had the prior two campaigns.
