Tyler Duffey RP | KC
Twins' Tyler Duffey: Officially recalled from Rochester
Duffey was officially recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.
As expected, Duffey will join the Twins after the Triple-A season came to a close over the weekend. The right-hander, who holds a 6.24 ERA in the majors this season, is currently scheduled to to take the hill Friday against the Indians.

Joe Kelly RP | LAD
Red Sox's Joe Kelly: PItches eighth inning in Monday's loss
Kelly was used in the eighth inning of Boston's 2-1 loss to San Diego on Monday. He struck out two Padres in his scoreless inning.
It was interesting to see Kelly get the call in the eighth inning of a tight game. It was his second consecutive appearance in the eighth, though his first one had little on the line. Since being called up, Kelly has struck out four in two innings without giving up a run. High K/9 numbers characterized Kelly's relief stint while pitching for Triple-A Pawtucket. If he keeps that up, expect to see manager John Farrell, who is desperate to find some consistent arms for high-leverage situations, use Kelly more often as a bridge to closer Craig Kimbrel.

Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC
Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Takes loss to Padres
Pomeranz (2-4) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts over 5.2 innings in Monday's loss to the Padres.
Pomeranz hasn't allowed more than three earned runs since July. Over his last seven starts, he owns a sharp 2.76 ERA and has struck out 44 against just 14 walks in 42.1 innings of work. He's just 2-2 in that span, but he's pitching better than his record would suggest and he's giving the Red Sox another valuable rotation option for the stretch run.

Chad Girodo RP | LAD
Blue Jays' Chad Girodo: Muddles through 2016 season
Girodo, the Jays No. 25 prospect, finished the 2016 International League season with a 3.79 ERA over 35.2 innings in 29 relief appearances.
Girodo was recalled a few times this season, but failed to capitalize on his major league opportunities. He earned those chances based on a stellar start with Triple-A Buffalo -- he posted a 1.50 ERA prior to the IL All-Star game. However, it was a different story in the second half as Girodo earned a 6.11 ERA with a .342 BAA after the break. With the Jays' bullpen healthy and performing better than they were earlier in the year, Girodo was not invited back up once rosters expanded last week.

Zach Neal RP | ATH
Athletics' Zach Neal: Announced as Tuesday's starter
Neal will start Tuesday's game against the Angels, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Ross Detwiler had been scheduled to start Tuesday, but was used from the bullpen Monday night, forcing Oakland to look elsewhere for Tuesday's outing. As a starter, Neal has a hefty 6.39 ERA and 1.30 WHIP for the year.

Dellin Betances RP | LAD
Yankees' Dellin Betances: Nabs easy save on Labor Day
Betances struck out two in a clean ninth Monday against the Jays to notch his ninth save of the season.
Betances blew his first save as the team's closer (fourth overall on the year) on Aug. 30 against the Royals, but has since been unhittable. In the right-hander's last three appearances, Betances has picked up three saves while not surrendering a hit and striking out four over 3.1 innings.

Tyler Duffey RP | KC
Twins' Tyler Duffey: Will start Friday
Duffey will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Phil Miller of the Star Tribune reports.
Duffey is now scheduled to start Friday against the Indians. He's done well with Rochester this season, as he's built a 2.93 ERA and 1.19 WHIP after five starts. However, his ERA has swollen up to 6.24 in the majors, making Friday's contest against a high-scoring Cleveland offense a tough matchup for Duffey.

Chad Green RP | TOR
Yankees' Chad Green: Scheduled for MRI on Tuesday
Green (elbow) will go for a dye-contrast MRI on Tuesday, LoHud.com reports.
Green met with the team doctor Monday and reportedly was encouraged by the visit, but the team is still hoping to have a clearer idea of the exact nature of the injury. The 25-year-old has already been diagnosed with a sprained right UCL and strained right flexor tendon, so it would stand to reason that he could be shut down for the remainder of the season, and the possibility of Tommy John surgery has also not been ruled out. A more precise indication of a timetable may become available following the results of Tuesday's MRI.

Aaron Loup RP | LAA
Blue Jays' Aaron Loup: To return to Toronto
Loup is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
Although he's thrown just 19.2 innings across 20 games with Triple-A Buffalo, Loup has had an impressive year. He owns a 1.83 ERA and 1.22 WHIP at the Triple-A level and has walked only three batters. Unfortunately, he hasn't had as much luck with the big club, where he has an ERA and WHIP of 7.45 and 1.34, respectively.
-
Bo Schultz RP | PIT
Blue Jays' Bo Schultz: To be recalled Tuesday
Schultz will be recalled by the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
Schultz has put together a solid year at Triple-A Buffalo as he put up a 3.74 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP over 33.2 innings. However, home runs have given Schultz troubles in the majors this season. Over 13 MLB innings, he's allowed 12 hits, three of which were home runs.
