Aaron Loup RP | LAA
Blue Jays' Aaron Loup: Recalled Sunday
The Blue Jays recalled Loup from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
Loup will take the roster spot of Aaron Sanchez, who will head to the minors before making his next big-league start in 10 days. Loup will work primarily as a left-handed specialist for the Blue Jays, though he could pitch an inning here or there if needed.

Hector Santiago RP | SEA
Twins' Hector Santiago: Struggles with Twins continue
Santiago gave up eight runs on 11 hits, including three home runs over 4.2 innings, in Saturday's loss to Kansas City. He didn't walk a batter, but trying to reduce his high walk rate may be altering his performance. "That aggressive mentality where I let it fly and kind attack the hitters, I have a little blockage in there right now where I'm trying to control the zone and make everything over the plate," he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Santiago has been terrible since he was traded to Minnesota with 23 runs allowed in four starts. He has just three walks in 19 innings over that span, but has given up seven home runs.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Records four-out save versus Tigers
Kimbrel allowed a hit but shut the door for a four-out save in a 3-2 victory over the Tigers on Saturday.
He came into the game with runners at first and second, two outs in the eighth. It was a loud one, but Kimbrel got Miguel Cabrera to line out to end the inning. After two straight outs to begin the ninth, Justin Upton doubled to bring the tying run in scoring position, but the next batter struck out. Kimbrel is 2-3 and 22-for-24 in save chances with a 3.12 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 40.1 innings.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Tigers' Daniel Norris: Takes tough loss to Red Sox on Saturday
Norris (1-2) allowed three runs on eight hits, struck out four and walked two in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.
The left-hander didn't return after the one hour and 10 minute rain delay before the top of the sixth, but there's a chance he wouldn't have anyway since he was at 84 pitches. Norris threw 55 of those pitches for strikes, but he yielded a homer to David Ortiz in the fifth that proved to be the difference. Norris is 1-2 with a 3.81 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 24 strikeouts in 28.1 innings.

Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC
Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Takes victory versus Tigers on Saturday
Pomeranz (2-2) allowed just one run on four hits over five innings in a victory over the Tigers on Saturday. He also had three strikeouts and no walks.
The one run he allowed came on a James McCann solo bomb, but a long rain delay at the end of the fifth knocked Pomeranz out of the game. It's really too bad, because he had thrown only 51 pitches in the first five frames, so Pomeranz had a decent shot to pitch a complete game. Even still, it was enough to win, which makes him 10-9 overall this season. He also has a 2.95 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 150 strikeouts in 140.1 innings. His next start will be Thursday versus the Rays.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: To have next start pushed back
Fulmer's next start will be pushed back to Friday or Saturday's game against the Angels, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
As expected, the Tigers will provide Fulmer with some additional rest between starts as his innings total begins to mount. While the team has said it does not have a "hard cap" in terms of innings, earlier in the season it was believed that the Tigers were targeting a 20-to-30-percent increase over Fulmer's 2015 tally of 124.2 innings. As of now, Fulmer will take the hill sometime later next week, though manager Brad Ausmus did not specify which day.

Zach Neal RP | ATH
Athletics' Zach Neal: To start Sunday vs. White Sox
Neal will start Sunday's game against the White Sox, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
While he was hit hard for five earned runs on eight hits across 5.1 innings his last time out, he'll get a shot at redemption Sunday. Neal, who pitched out of the bullpen throughout July, holds a 5.19 ERA and 1.18 WHIP on the season.

Ryan Garton RP | SEA
Rays' Ryan Garton: Optioned to Triple-A
Garton was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The right-hander labored through 1.2 frames Friday, allowing three hits and two walks while needing 38 pitches to record the five outs. Garton has struggled this season while working primarily in mop-up situations (4.73 ERA, 1.61 WHIP). Although he figures to return once rosters expand, there's little reason to think he will be entrusted with meaningful innings.
-
Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Wobbles again, but hangs on for ninth save
Diaz struggled for the second outing in a row Friday, but still posted his ninth save in as many chances, allowing two runs on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts against the Brewers.
Diaz walked the leadoff batter, struck out two, walked two more and then allowed a two-run single to make it a one-run game, but he came back to strike out the final batter to end the threat. In Wednesday's save, he allowed a run on three hits. Diaz said afterward that he had trouble with his arm slot on his fastball, which led to the control problems. Although he's wobbled lately, it's at least a good sign that he hasn't imploded.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Has rough outing against Rangers in Friday loss
Andriese (6-5) gave up five earned runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers. He struck out four.
He wasn't as bad as the final line might indicate, but he gave up some untimely hits. Andriese fired 66 of his 95 pitches for strikes while also notching 12 swinging strikes on the night. However, Mitch Moreland began his downfall in the fifth inning with a 387-foot solo shot to left, while Ian Desmond drove in Elvis Andrus with a two-out run-scoring single later in the inning. Adrian Beltre then led off the sixth with a 421-foot blast and two more runs went on Andriese's ledger after his exit when Nomar Mazara and Jurickson Profar posted a run-scoring single and walk, respectively, off reliever Ryan Garton. The right-hander has endured consecutive rough starts, giving up 11 earned runs on 15 hits (including six homers) over the 10.1 innings he's pitched over that span.
