  • Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Earns 18th save with scoreless inning

Chapman earned his 18th save of the season Sunday versus the Red Sox, working around a walk to complete a scoreless inning of work.

Chapman looked shaky in walking David Ortiz to bring the tying run to the plate with one out, but he swiftly induced a double play ball by Hanley Ramirez and wound up retiring the side on 13 pitches. Chapman was electric as usual, hitting 103 miles per hour several times, and he lowered his ERA to 2.30 to go along with a 0.91 WHIP. The flamethrower's role could change if he is traded before the approaching deadline, but for now he remains an elite fantasy reliever.

  • Tigers' Warwick Saupold: To make rehab start with Triple-A Toledo

Saupold (groin) will make a rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, John Wagner of the Blade reports.

Saupold recently had a rehab start with High-A Lakeland. If his health allows, he could be able to return to the Tigers' bullpen shortly afterwards.

  • Collin McHugh RP | ATL

Astros' Collin McHugh: Strikes out 10 in win over Mariners

McHugh was excellent in Sunday's win over the Mariners, striking out 10 and walking four across six scoreless innings.

McHugh impressively threw 66 percent of his pitches for strikes, including 12 of the swinging variety, and he also retired the side in order in four of his six innings. He's been excellent of late, as he has posted a 2.41 ERA and 8.9 K/9 rate over his last six starts, coming within a single out of tossing a quality start in each outing. His resurgence has been a big boost to the Astros in recent weeks, and he'll look to keep it rolling Saturday against the Angels.

  • Michael Fulmer RP | NYY

Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Pitches eight strong innings in Sunday's no-decision

Fulmer (9-2) threw eight innings Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five, but came away with a no-decision in a 4-2 win over the Royals.

He threw 68 of 95 pitches for strikes and started 21 of 31 batters off with first-pitch strikes, but Fulmer couldn't quite stick around long enough to get rewarded with his 10th win. He's now reeled off three straight quality starts in July and eight QS in his last 10 outings as he puts himself firmly in the AL's Rookie of the Year conversation. He'll next take the mound Friday on the road against the White Sox.

  • Alex Colome RP | CHW

Rays' Alex Colome: Notches 20th save Sunday

Colome allowed one hit while striking out the side in a scoreless ninth inning Sunday to pick up his 20th save of the season in a win over the Orioles.

Looking strong in his first outing following the All-Star break, Colome now has a 1.64 ERA and 42:11 K:BB in 33 innings to go along with his perfect 20-for-20 record in save opportunities.

  • Hunter Harvey RP | CHC

Orioles' Hunter Harvey: Suffers elbow injury, will undergo MRI

Harvey will undergo an MRI on his elbow Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Harvey has been in the minors rehabbing a groin injury, but now it appears that something more serious has potentially surfaced. The team will send the right-handed reliever for an MRI, and if the results don't come back favorable, this is easily an injury that could be season-ending.

  • Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC

Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Added to roster Sunday

Pomeranz was added to Boston's roster Sunday.

By rule, the Red Sox had to add Pomeranz within 72 hours of acquiring him, so he's been added well ahead of his scheduled debut Wednesday.

  • Brian Johnson RP | BOS

Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Throws five scoreless at Lowell

Johnson (personal) threw five scoreless innings for short-season Lowell on Thursday. He allowed four hits and one walk while striking out five in his first rehab start for the Spinners.

Johnson, who placed on the inactive list in May due to anxiety issues, is working his way back to Triple-A Pawtucket, where he may be able to provide some starting depth for Boston. Prior to his placement on the inactive list, Johnson was struggling with command, going 2-3 with a 4.64 ERA and 22 walks in 33 innings.

  • Red Sox's Jacob Dahlstrand: Returns to Double-A Portland

Dahlstrand, who is coming back from Tommy John surgery, made his debut for Double-A Portland on Saturday, Kevin Thomas of the Portland Press Herald reports. He allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out two in six innings.

Dahlstrand continues to work his way back from the injury, but after starts in the Gulf Coast League and at short-season Lowell, the 24-year-old is back on his development schedule in the Double-A Eastern League. A 10th-round draft pick in 2010, Dahlstrand is a late bloomer and not yet on the 40-man roster, but will continue to track as a starter for an organization whose upper-level starters have taken a hit in 2016.

  • Brad Boxberger RP | CHC

Rays' Brad Boxberger: Will begin rehab assignment Monday

Boxberger (oblique) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Monday at High-A Charlotte, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Boxberger looks to trending toward the latter end of the four-to-eight week recovery timetable he was handed down back in early June, but his recent activity has been encouraging. He was able to throw face hitters in batting practice prior to the All-Star break, and after enduring no further setbacks with his oblique, he'll be cleared to test himself out in game action. Given that Boxberger has made all of one appearance this season along with the fact that Alex Colome has been solid in a ninth-inning role, it doesn't seem likely that Boxberger will reclaim the closer gig for the Rays upon his eventual activation.
