Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Notches 17th save in Friday victory
Kimbrel secured his 17th save in Friday's 5-4 victory by working around a hit and a walk in the ninth inning.
Despite allowing two baserunners, Kimbrel needed only 15 pitches overall to get out of the ninth. He tempted fate by walking Mike Trout to start the inning, and then surrendering a ground-rule double to Daniel Nava with two out. However, he managed to induce a groundout from C.J. Cron, who'd hit a grand slam earlier in the contest, to seal the victory. It was the veteran closer's fifth consecutive successfully converted save opportunity.

Rays' Brad Boxberger: Bullpen session goes well Thursday
Boxberger (oblique) had a successful 15-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 28-year-old closer suffered no setbacks in the brief session, which came on the heels of him playing catch on Monday for the first time since his latest injury. Already on his second DL stint in 2016, the veteran pitcher was cautiously optimistic following the latest development. "Everything was feeling well," Boxberger said. "I'll progress from there."

Dahlstrand (elbow) is rehabbing with the Red Sox's Gulf Coast League affiliate.
He's made two starts since returning to action on June 25, fanning 12 and walking two over 8.2 innings and allowing just one earned runs. It's believed that Dahlstrand will head back to High-A Salem once he's healthy enough to return to the rotation.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Aiming to return early next week
Colome (biceps) is aiming to throw a bullpen session Sunday and return from the DL either Tuesday or Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With his stint retroactive to June 19, Colome could return from the DL just one week after he was formally placed on the DL. However, Colome will need to prove to the training staff that he's 100 percent in order to bypass a minor league rehab assignment. He has reportedly felt good playing catch in recent days and will get more long toss in Friday ahead of Sunday's bullpen.

David Robertson RP | PHI
White Sox's David Robertson: Picks up 21st save Thursday against Twins
Robertson allowed one hit and struck out the side while notching his 21st save in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Twins.
By slamming the door Thursday, Robertson moved into second in the AL for saves -- behind Orioles closer Zach Britton (23). The only knock on the 31-year-old could be his 1.40 WHIP, much of which stems from his unusually high walk rate of 5.23, which comes on the heels of a career-best 1.85 BB/9 in 2015.

Aroldis Chapman RP | BOS
Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Gets win Thursday against Rangers

He will go back down to Nashville, where he has pitched superbly so far in 2016, amassing a 6-1 record with a 2.83 ERA during 47.2 innings. In addition to Neal going back to Nashville, pitchers Daniel Coulombe and Andrew Triggs were promoted to the major league club, as Sean Doolittle was placed on the disabled list Thursday.

Coulombe and Andrew Triggs will come up from Nashville to fill out the roster, with Coulombe rejoining the team after being optioned just over a week ago. In 10 appearances for the A's on the year, Coulombe has allowed 13 hits and seven earned runs, while striking out 9, over 13.2 total innings.
