Ryne Stanek RP | STL
Mariners' Ryne Stanek: Picks up first win Tuesday
Stanek (1-0) got the win against the Twins on Tuesday, recording a strikeout over a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.
Stanek got his first victory in a Mariners uniform on just 11 pitches, entering the game after Tayler Saucedo suffered a knee injury covering first base. Stanek got the last two outs in the eighth and then became the pitcher of record when Seattle snapped a 6-6 tie with a four-run rally in the ninth. The veteran right-hander has bounced back from a three-appearance stretch where he allowed at least one run to contribute consecutive scoreless outings.

Jorge Alcala RP | TOR
Twins' Jorge Alcala: Heads back to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Alcala to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Alcala allowed four runs and threw 48 pitches over two innings in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Mariners, so he's being sent out in favor of a fresh arm. Right-hander Josh Staumont was recalled from St. Paul in a corresponding move.

Owen White RP | CHW
Rangers' Owen White: Call-up official
The Rangers recalled White from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
White will offer the Rangers some length out of the bullpen for Wednesday's doubleheader in Oakland. If White ends up being needed for multiple innings in relief Wednesday, he could be swapped off the 26-man active roster for another fresh arm heading into the Rangers' weekend series in Colorado. White has made five starts for Round Rock this season, accruing a 5.70 ERA and 1.64 WHIP over 23.2 innings.

Owen White RP | CHW
Rangers' Owen White: Set to be recalled
The Rangers plan to call up White from Triple-A Round Rock ahead of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Athletics, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
He'll give the Rangers some potential length out of the bullpen. White has posted a 5.70 ERA and 19:9 K:BB across 23.2 innings this season with Round Rock.

Alex Speas RP | MIN
Athletics' Alex Speas: Exits 40-man roster
The Athletics designated Speas for assignment Wednesday.
He'll cede his spot on the 40-man roster to left-hander Easton Lucas, who was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Speas was acquired via trade from the White Sox last month and has held an ugly 12.08 ERA over 11 relief appearances this season with Las Vegas.

Pedro Avila RP | CLE
Guardians' Pedro Avila: Takes loss Tuesday
Avila (0-1) allowed a run on three hits and two walks while striking out four over three innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Tigers.
Guardians starter Logan Allen was pulled in the third inning after allowing a tying run that knotted the game at 7-7. Avila was better in a longer relief appearance, but he was tagged with the loss due to a lack of offense from Cleveland after that point. Avila has pitched to a 6.11 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 20:8 K:BB over 17.2 innings across eight appearances between Cleveland and San Diego this season. His ERA is 3.72 across four outings with the Guardians, but it's still possible Avila loses his place on the 26-man roster once Eli Morgan (shoulder) completes a rehab assignment.

Kolton Ingram RP | SF
Rangers' Kolton Ingram: Dropped from 40-man roster
The Rangers designated Ingram for assignment Wednesday.
Ingram was cast off the 40-man roster after the Rangers needed to open up a spot for outfielder/designated hitter Robbie Grossman, whom the team acquired from the White Sox on Wednesday. After being claimed off waivers from the Mets on April 24, Ingram didn't make any appearances for Texas, as he had been pitching in relief at Triple-A Round Rock. He'll remain in the organization and stick around with Round Rock if he clears waivers.

Tommy Kahnle RP | BOS
Yankees' Tommy Kahnle: Starting rehab assignment
Kahnle (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Wednesday.
Kahnle has been out all season with a right shoulder issue that has been bothering him since late in the 2023 campaign. Because he's missed so much time, Kahnle will likely require at least five rehab outings before being activated from the 15-day injured list, according to Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger.

Yimi Garcia RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Yimi Garcia: Hopes to be available Wednesday
The Blue Jays hope Garcia (back) will be available to pitch Wednesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Garcia's last appearance came all the way back on April 28 as he deals with a nagging back issue. He's apparently feeling better, though, and as long as he checks out well during a pregame throwing session he is expected to be available out of the bullpen Wednesday. Garcia has been one of the best relievers in baseball this season, allowing just one run with a 16:3 K:BB over 13.1 innings.
