Devenski was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

Devenski will return to Triple-A after being called up Sept. 25. While in the big leagues, the reliever appeared in three games, surrendering five runs on seven hits while striking out three over four innings. Michael Plassmeyer was recalled from Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Hoeing (leg) tossed a perfect inning in relief Monday in the Marlins' 4-0 win over Atlanta.

Hoeing's previous relief appearance Sept. 29 against the Brewers was cut short when he was struck in the right leg by a comebacker, but he looks like he'll avoid a trip to the injured list to close out the season. He should be available in relief one final time Wednesday as the Marlins wrap up their series with Atlanta.

Brebbia will serve as the Giants' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game in San Diego, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Brebbia will be making his National League-leading 76th appearance of the season in the finale, including his 11th turn as an opener. Considering Brebbia hasn't recorded more than six outs in any of his appearances this season, he'll likely work only an inning or two before giving way to the bullpen. The Giants don't have an obvious candidate to serve as a bulk reliever behind Brebbia, so expect manager Gabe Kapler to treat the season finale as a bullpen day.

Diaz struck out one in 1.1 perfect innings to record his 32nd save of the season in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

The dominant righty converted his 22nd consecutive save chance, with his last blown save coming back in late May. Diaz has been almost untouchable all season, posting a career-best 50.2 percent strikeout rate to support his 1.31 ERA and 0.84 WHIP through 62 innings.

Abbott (0-5) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out six.

The 27-year-old will head into the offseason still looking for his first career win in the majors. Abbott tossed 48 of 88 pitches for strikes, and he finishes the season having served up 12 homers in 48 innings for the Nationals (2.25 HR/9) to drive his 5.25 ERA. He's unlikely to seriously compete for a rotation spot in 2023 unless Washington deals with another rash of pitcher injuries.

Wilson allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one across 3.1 innings Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Wilson entered the game in the third inning, following JT Brubaker. The former recorded 10 outs with relative ease, but he allowed two hits and a walk prior to departing in the seventh frame, and he was ultimately charged with all three runs. Wilson will conclude the season with an ugly 5.52 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and a 79:32 K:BB across 115.2 innings.

Lamet allowed one hit across two scoreless innings with four strikeouts to earn a hold Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Lamet was claimed off waivers Aug. 5 and has stuck in the majors since, appearing in 19 games for the Rockies. He's pitched primarily in low-leverage situations, though he has racked up three holds and also worked multiple innings four times. All told, Lamet maintained a 4.05 ERA with a 29:10 K:BB across 20 innings during his time with Colorado.

Bard saved Tuesday's 5-2 win against the Dodgers, tossing a 1-2-3 ninth inning without a strikeout.

Bard made quick work of the Dodgers in the ninth inning, needing just six pitches to secure his second save in three days against Los Angeles. The 37-year-old threw 35 pitches Sunday, so Tuesday's punctual outing was necessary and could keep him in the mix to pitch again during Wednesday's season finale. Bard's scoreless inning streak is now at 15, with his last earned run coming Aug. 26.

Manager Dave Roberts said Treinen (shoulder) is scheduled to throw to batters Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The 34-year-old returned to mound work over the weekend and is now poised to face hitters a few days later. According to Roberts, Treinen could be included on the roster for the NLDS next week if the righty's rehab continues to progress smoothly.

Manaea (8-9) earned the win during Tuesday's 6-2 victory over San Francisco, allowing one hit and one walk with six strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Manaea put the first two Giants he faced on base before retiring the next 18 batters in order to finish with a 75 game score, his best mark since hist first start of the season April 8. The 29-year-old pounded the zone with 50 of an efficient 66 pitches going for strikes, and he undoubtedly would've worked deeper if a playoff appearance for the team wasn't looming. Prior to Tuesday's victory, Manaea had gone 0-3 with an 8.18 ERA in 22 innings across his last six starts, with San Diego falling in each contest. He concludes 2022 with a 4.96 ERA and 1.30 WHIP -- the worst and second-worst marks of his career, respectively -- with 156 strikeouts in 158 innings across 28 starts and 30 appearances.
