Strzelecki picked up the save with a clean inning in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over the Diamondbacks. He did not record a strikeout.

Strzelecki entered the game in the ninth inning with a 3-0 lead and set Arizona down in order to earn the first save of his career. The save opportunity was likely a product of the Brewers being out of playoff contention and manager Craig Counsell opting to give some of the younger players a look. Over 35 innings this season, Strzelecki went 2-1 with one save and four holds with 40 strikeouts.

Hernandez will start Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday and will start the final game of the season for Miami. Hernandez opened the season in the rotation but was demoted in early June. He enters Wednesday's start with a 6.33 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 57:22 K:BB across 58.1 innings.

Hudson allowed seven runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out one in 2.2 innings in an 8-7 extra-inning victory Tuesday in Pittsburgh. He did not factor into the decision.

Hudson was recalled from Triple-A Memphis to start Tuesday's game and struggled from the start. After allowing the first two batters to reach safely, consecutive groundouts led to a run in the first. He retired the side in order in the second but fell apart in the third as he faced 11 batters and six runs scored before he was removed with two outs. It was a disappointing end to a frustrating season that included losing his spot in the starting rotation and being relegated to the minors for parts of September.

Helsley was removed from Tuesday's game against the Pirates as a precaution with a jammed right middle finger, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Helsley suffered the injury when he fielded a batted ball from the only hitter he faced, and he then left the field with training staff. The fact the right-hander's exit has been labeled a precaution is an encouraging sign, and it doesn't appear he'll undergo medical imaging, according to John Denton of MLB.com. It's clear Helsley won't pitch in Wednesday's regular-season finale, and he should be considered day-to-day for Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series on Friday.

Jansen pitched a perfect ninth inning, striking out two batters on his way to a save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against the Marlins.

Tasked with protecting a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, Jansen retired the Marlins in order while striking out two batters. The save was his 41st of the campaign and the closer has now converted eight straight save opportunities. Since Sept. 13, Jansen has posted a 0.82 ERA and 0.55 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 11 innings in 11 appearances while going 8-for-8 in save chances.

Diaz (7-3) earned the win after he pitched 1.1 innings scoreless innings, striking out two batters in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Diaz entered the game with two outs in the top of the eighth inning and the score tied at 2-2, getting Ian Happ to fly out to end the frame. He returned for the top of the ninth, striking out two batters before earning the win when Spencer Steer ripped a walkoff RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Diaz now sports a 1.84 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 83 strikeouts over 63.2 frames in 59 appearances this season. The reliever appears to be on track to be one of the best late-inning options in fantasy next year and has gone 10-for-14 in save chances with 13 holds in 2022.

Thompson suffered a blown save after he pitched 2.2 innings, giving up two runs on one hit and two walks while striking out five in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

Thompson entered the game with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, tasked with protecting a 1-0 lead. After the Cubs scored a run in the following half inning, the right-hander surrendered a two-run homer to Chuckie Robinson in the seventh frame, which tied the game at 2-2. The blown save was his first of the season and the runs allowed were his first given up since he returned from the 15-day injured list Sept. 21. Thompson now owns a 3.76 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 108 strikeouts over 115 innings in 29 appearances including 17 starts this year.

Assad tossed 5.1 scoreless innings but did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Reds. He allowed four hits and a walk while striking out four.

Assad left with the Cubs up 1-0, but Chicago's bullpen allowed three runs in the 3-2 loss. Despite not getting the win, Assad looked sharp in his 2022 finale. The rookie ended his campaign with 10.1 scoreless innings over his last two starts, which brought his ERA down to a strong 3.11 across 37.2 total innings. Assad should factor into the team's rotation mix to begin 2023, and he'll be a fantasy factor if he keeps pitching like this.

Waites was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Waites was called up for his first taste of the majors Sept. 12 and appeared in five games before he was sent back to Sacramento 10 days later. The 24-year-old allowed one earned run with a 3:4 K:BB across five innings during that stretch, and he's now back with the big-league club for the final two games of the season.

Helsley was removed from Tuesday's game against the Pirates with an apparent right hand injury, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Helsley retired the lone batter he faced after he entered for the eighth inning Tuesday, but he may have tweaked something while he fielded the ball. The specifics of the issue remain unclear, but the Cardinals could be illustrating caution with their playoff positioning already secured.
