Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

Jackson spent two weeks in the minors and struck out five in three scoreless innings over three relief appearances across that span. However, he'll rejoin the major-league club to provide bullpen depth after Jackson Stephens (concussion) was placed on the 7-day injured list.

Scott gave up two runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning Friday to blow his sixth save of the season in a 10-6 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Getting the call to protect a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning, Scott instead handed the lead over to Los Angeles, and he was only saved from his sixth loss of the year when Peyton Burdick homered to tie things back up in the bottom of the frame. Scott is 7-for-9 on save chances since the All-Star break, but that comes with a 5.93 ERA, 2.05 WHIP and volatile 15:11 K:BB through 13.2 innings.

Rodriguez gave up two hits, a walk and an unearned run in one inning to earn the save in a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Brewers on Friday.

Rodriguez entered in the tenth inning to protect a two-run lead. He allowed the automatic baserunner from second to score an unearned run and loaded the bases before getting out of the jam on a frantically-executed double-play. It was Rodriguez's first appearance of the season after battling an elbow injury all summer. He appears to be in the mix for high-leverage usage out of the Cubs' bullpen. Brandon Hughes had pitched in a save situation earlier in the game and blew the save for the second time in his last three chances. Rowan Wick is presumed to have been available but did not make an appearance in the contest.

Diaz (3-1) allowed a hit and struck out one in one inning and earned a win over the Rockies on Friday.

Diaz tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the win after the Mets walked it off in the bottom of the frame. It was his first win since May 29 and he lowered his season ERA to 1.40 through 51 appearances. The 28-year-old has given up just one run over his last 24 frames.

Martin was unavailable for Friday's game against the Marlins due to an arm injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The exact nature of Martin's arm issue isn't yet clear, but manager Dave Roberts doesn't expect the right-hander to require a trip to the injured list. Martin will play catch Saturday to see how he feels, and he should be considered day-to-day.

Wilson (2-8) yielded four runs (three earned) on five hits over one inning Friday, striking out one and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Wilson tossed 43 pitches and barely escaped the first inning. The first four batters of the inning reached base, including Bryce Harper knocking a two-run single. The 24-year-old righty saw his ERA climb to 6.01 through 79.1 frames after his shortest outing of the year. Wilson is lined up to face Toronto at home next week.

Hand struck out one in a perfect inning and earned a save over the Pirates on Friday.

After giving up two runs and blowing a save in his last outing, Hand bounced back to pick up his first save since July 8. He lowered his ERA to 1.86 alongside a 32:20 K:BB through 47 appearances this season. Hand has been tagged with just one earned run over his last 12.2 frames.

Peters (elbow) threw in Philadelphia on Friday, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

It's not yet clear whether Peters threw off a mound, but this is confirmation he's been cleared to resume a throwing program. A timetable for his return isn't yet known, but manager Derek Shelton hopes that the southpaw will be able to rejoin the Pirates' bullpen prior to the end of the regular season.

Bednar (back) threw Friday in Philadelphia, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said in mid-August that Bednar was close to starting a throwing program, and the right-hander has now been cleared to make that step. He'll likely have to ramp up his intensity before he's in the mix to rejoin the Pirates, but manager Derek Shelton hopes that Bednar will be able to return prior to the end of the regular season.

Long was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento and placed on the 60-day injured list Friday due to a right oblique strain.

Long was sent to the minors in early August but will be forced to miss the remainder of the 2022 season due to his oblique injury. The team planned to stretch him out as a starter following his demotion, so it's not yet clear what role he'll play if he's deemed healthy in time for spring training 2023.
