White didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 8-3 loss to Washington, allowing two runs on nine hits with four strikeouts in six innings.

White settled down after surrendering two runs in the first inning to blank Washington over the next five frames. The six innings represent a season high for the 27-year-old while the 98 pitches are his second highest total. He has now permitted three runs or fewer in nine of 10 turns. White has posted a solid 3.32 ERA in 21.2 innings across four July starts but will likely be bumped from the rotation with Andrew Heaney set to return from a shoulder injury next week.

Hicks (2-5) allowed four runs on three hits and two walks in 1.2 innings Tuesday versus the Blue Jays, taking the loss.

Hicks entered the game to begin the fifth inning, but he ran into trouble in the sixth. He left the bases loaded for Junior Fernandez to face George Springer, with the Blue Jays' slugger smacking a grand slam. With five runs allowed in 2.1 innings since the All-Star break, Hicks has effectively lost the momentum he gained from an eight-inning scoreless streak prior to the break. The flame-throwing righty has a 4.85 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 35:26 K:BB across 39 innings in 17 appearances (eight starts). Until he can settle down again, Hicks is likely to see a multi-inning relief role.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 7-3 victory over San Francisco, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with two strikeouts in four innings.

Making his fourth start of July, Gilbert kept San Francisco quiet aside from a Wilmer Flores two-run home run in the third inning. Despite a reasonable 71 pitches through four frames, manager Torey Lovullo opted to turn to the bullpen with the top of the Giants' lineup due to bat a third time in the fifth inning. The 28-year-old has pitched well this month to the tune of a 2.95 ERA across 18.1 innings while surrendering no more than three runs in any start. However, the lefty remains winless. He carries a 5.24 ERA and 1.25 WHIP into his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week against Cleveland.

Martinez earned the save, allowing an unearned run on a hit while striking out one in the 10th inning of a 6-4 extra-inning win Tuesday in Detroit.

Martinez received the save opportunity because Taylor Rogers blew the save in the ninth and the Padres plated three runs in the top half of the 10th. Martinez allowed a two-out double that scored the automatic runner but ended the game on the very next pitch when Willi Castro flew out to end the game. It was the fourth save of the season for Martinez, with the other three coming as three-inning saves. The 31-year-old has done it all for the Padres this season, from starting to closing.

Rogers (1-4) picked up the victory after blowing a save, allowing a run on two hits and a walk while striking out two in a 6-4 extra-inning win Tuesday in Detroit.

Rogers entered the game with a 3-2 lead and gave up a game-tying two-out single to Riley Greene on a 0-2 count. It was the fifth time he's blown a save in his last 16 chances and, while he has closed out 28 ball games successfully, his recent troubles and 3.98 ERA could conceivably cause the Padres to look elsewhere for help with save chances over the final two months. Since May 28, he's posted a 7.52 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 20.1 innings.

Diaz earned the save, striking out four and allowing one hit in 1.1 innings, in a 6-3 victory Tuesday over the Yankees.

Diaz entered the game with two outs and a man on first in the eighth inning and struck out Joey Gallo. In the ninth, the Yankees threatened with two on and one out but Diaz struck out the final two batters to end the game. The 28-year-old is now 22-for-25 in save chances this year and has fanned 51.6 percent of the batters he's faced. Over his last 13.1 innings, he has not allowed a run and has a 28:1 K:BB.

Pallante tossed four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out four in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays. He did not factor into the decision.

Pallante surrendered a two-run homer to Vladimir Guerrero and an RBI single to Matt Chapman in the bottom of the first frame, accounting for all the damage against him in this one. The right-hander was replaced after the fourth inning, leaving the game in a 3-3 tie. Pallante has had a difficult July, producing a 7.85 ERA over four starts during the month. The tough stretch has his season numbers up to a 3.53 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 51 strikeouts over 74 innings in 27 appearances, including nine starts.

Devenski had his contract selected by the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Devenski missed the first couple months of the year while finishing his rehab from Tommy John surgery, and he'll join the Diamondbacks after making six appearances with Triple-A Reno. The right-hander allowed six earned runs while posting a 9:2 K:BB over 7.1 innings with Reno.

Manager Dave Roberts said that Treinen (shoulder), who threw a bullpen session Tuesday, won't advance to facing live batter for at least a couple more weeks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The veteran right-hander has been throwing bullpen sessions for the past couple weeks, but the Dodgers won't rush his rehab progression into the next stage. Roberts previously mentioned mid-August as the potential return window for Treinen, but that can likely now be pushed into the back half of the month at a minimum.

Cleavinger was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Cleavinger hasn't pitched in the majors since mid-May but will rejoin the Dodgers early in the second half of the season. The 28-year-old has pitched well at Triple-A this year, posting a 2.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 47:17 K:BB across 29 innings.
