Davidson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Davidson was on the big-league roster for a single day in mid-April but didn't get into a game. He made his major-league debut last season, giving up seven runs (two earned) in 1.2 innings of work. In a pair of Triple-A starts this season, he's fared far better, allowing just a single run on seven hits over 14 frames. Fellow lefty Jesse Biddle was optioned in a corresponding move. Davidson has been almost exclusively a starter in the minors, but there's no obvious spot for him in the rotation at the moment, so he'll likely be taking Biddle's bullpen job for now.

Biddle was designated for assignment Monday.

Biddle spent a month in Atlanta's bullpen, and the team has evidently seen enough. He allowed 10 runs in 10.2 innings, striking out 11 while walking eight. The fact that he throws left-handed could earn him another look elsewhere, but he now owns an 8.24 ERA in 39.1 innings across the last three seasons.

Holmes threw two scoreless innings in a 4-1 loss to the Giants on Sunday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.

The right-hander's 3.66 ERA in 19.2 innings includes a five-run outing in which he recorded only one out on April 6. Otherwise, he's allowed just one earned run in 18 appearances. Holmes has walked only six batters, posting a 1.22 WHIP. Prior to 2021, he'd walked 59 batters en route to a career 1.75 WHIP in 77.2 innings. The team has yet to deploy him in many high-leverage spots -- he has zero holds or saves -- but the 28-year-old has taken positive strides following his offseason non-tender.

Young allowed one hit and struck out one over two scoreless innings in Sunday's 3-0 loss to Washington.

Young entered the game after starter Luke Weaver was removed due to right-shoulder discomfort. Weaver joins starters Zac Gallen (elbow) and Taylor Widener (groin) on the list of ailing starters, which leaves the team scrambling for depth. Young, who has starter experience in the minor leagues, has not built up enough to be part of the rotation at this time. He has, however, overcome a rough start. After losing three of first six appearances and posting a 5.06 ERA, Young has a 2.19 ERA with 17 strikeouts over the last 12.1 innings.

Melancon pitched the ninth, allowing one hit with zero runs or strikeouts, to save Sunday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.

Melancon retired three straight Cardinals after allowing a leadoff Harrison Bader single to secure yet another save. He's been shakier of late, permitting nine baserunners with only a single strikeout over his last five games. A 2.67 FIP hints at his sparkling 0.96 ERA taking a hit soon, but he seems locked into a role as one of the most reliable closers in the game.

Weathers pitched four innings in Sunday's 5-3 win over St. Louis, allowing two runs on four hits. He failed to record a strikeout and did not factor in the decision.

Weathers allowed all four hits allowed in the first inning, including a Nolan Arenado two-run home run, but he settled down to pitch a clean second through fourth. Manager Jayce Tingler appears content to deploy Weathers in a short-start/long-relief role, and with limited strikeout upside he most likely needs to pitch in a different role to become fantasy relevant.

Lamet (1-0) made his first relief appearance as a major-leaguer Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out two to earn the win over St. Louis.

Ryan Weathers gave San Diego four innings as a starter, and Lamet followed with a pair of frames in relief. He hit as high as 97.9 mph with his fastball but saw his velocity dip slightly as the appearance progressed, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. Lamet's move to the bullpen comes somewhat as a surprise, though he hadn't pitched more than two innings in any of his previous outings this season and actually tossed a season-high 37 pitches in Sunday's appearance. Per Annie Heilbrunn of the San Diego Union-Tribune, it hasn't yet been determined whether Lamet will continue to be used in relief or switch back to a starting role. "Maybe he comes out of the bullpen, maybe he starts again," manager Jayce Tingler stated following the game, suggesting that the team will do whatever best helps Lamet continue pitching long term.

Graterol (forearm) threw long toss at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Graterol is slowly ramping back up after going on the injured list April 29. Considering the fact that he isn't yet throwing off a mound, it appears that the fireballer isn't close to a return. The Dodgers have not provided a timetable for his recovery process.

Rogers tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Pirates on Sunday.

Rogers had pitched in two of the last three games, but he was brought in to preserve a 4-1 lead and earned his fourth save of the season Sunday. The right-hander has posted a 0.76 ERA and 0.76 WHIP in 23.2 innings across 21 relief appearances in 2021.

Hand secured Sunday's 3-0 shutout of Arizona by pitching a 1-2-3 ninth with two strikeouts.

Hand sandwiched a David Peralta pop out between Eduardo Escobar and Stephen Vogt strikeouts to record his fourth save of the season. It's noteworthy that manager Dave Martinez still turned to Hand in the ninth given his poor performance prior to Sunday's game, so his job appears to be safe for now.
