White was recalled from the Dodgers' alternate training site Saturday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The 25-year-old narrowly missed making the 30-man roster, but he was kept on an elevated pitch count at the alternate training site. With Clayton Kershaw (back) expected to rejoin the rotation this weekend, White will take the place of Tony Gonsolin on the major-league roster. White had impressive results in an exhibition start at the end of camp, but he wasn't very effective in his Triple-A debut last season.

Kimbrel allowed two earned runs on two hits over an inning of work in a non-save situation against the Pirates on Friday.

Kimbrel allowed back-to-back home runs to Josh Bell and Colin Moran in the ninth inning, but the Cubs hung on for the 6-3 win. Kimbrel allowed two earned runs while retiring just a single batter in his first appearance of the season Monday, and the veteran reliever now carries an atrocious 27.00 ERA. It's early, but given the struggles Kimbrel had last season, there is reason to be at least somewhat concerned. If the Cubs did decide to make a change at closer at some point, Jeremy Jeffress or Rowan Wick would likely be next in line.

Rusin's contract was selected by the Braves on Saturday.

Rusin was part of the Braves' 60-man roster during camp and over the first few days of the season, but he'll join the major-league club after Jhoulys Chacin was designated for assignment Saturday. The southpaw spent the last five seasons with the Rockies but only made two appearances in the majors last year, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk while failing to record any strikeouts over one inning. Rusin should pitch primarily in lower-leverage situations out of the bullpen.

Wingenter (elbow) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Saturday, Andersen Pickard of MLBDailyDish.com reports.

The move is simply procedural after Wingenter underwent Tommy John surgery July 17. The right-hander is expected to be sidelined until the 2022 season as a result of the injury.

Pomeranz notched a one-out save against the Rockies on Friday.

Pomeranz came into the game due to Kirby Yates' struggles, and he earned the save when he induced a Chris Owings flyout to center. The left-hander has not given up a run in five appearances this season, posting a 7:1 K:BB with two saves and two holds. He should remain one of the most important arms in the Padres bullpen this year, and he would be the first in line to take over the closer role if Yates' struggles continue.

Iglesias was charged with two runs (one earned) on two hits in one inning in a non-save situation against the Tigers on Friday. He struck out two batters.

A Joey Votto error kept one of the runs off his ledger, but it was not a good outing for Iglesias, who gave up two doubles and a stolen base. The Reds' closer has a 13.50 ERA and zero saves through the first week-plus of action. Iglesias endured similar struggles in non-save situations last year, posting a 5.18 ERA under those circumstances compared to a 3.59 ERA in save situations.

Martin tossed one scoreless inning as he earned the save Friday against the Mets. He allowed one run and one walk while striking out one.

Martin was called on in a surprising save opportunity Friday after the Braves scored five in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the team an 11-10 lead. The right-hander allowed two baserunners but was able to hold onto the lead to pick up his first save of the season. Although Martin could be an option for saves if the Braves' bullpen struggles or faces injuries, primary closer Mark Melancon has been effective this year and earned the save for Atlanta in the previous two games.

Menez (1-0) didn't allow a baserunner in 1.1 innings Friday, striking out one to earn the win over the Rangers.

Menez relieved Logan Webb and got the final out in the fourth inning before retiring the side in the fifth. The Giants took the lead in the bottom of the fifth, making Menez the pitcher of record. The 25-year-old southpaw has a 3.38 ERA, 0.38 WHIP and four strikeouts in 5.1 innings across three relief appearances, but it's unlikely Menez works his way into the already crowded closer conversation for the Giants in 2020.

Coonrod landed on the 10-day injured list with a right lat strain Friday.

Coonrod has made four appearances this season, allowing three runs in 3.2 innings. His expected return date is not yet clear. Sam Selman was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Pagan was charged with his second blown save of the season Thursday, pitching two-thirds of an inning and allowing two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one batter against the Giants.

Following a breakout 2019 campaign with Tampa Bay, the Padres traded for Pagan with the expectation that he would form a dominant 1-2 punch with closer Kirby Yates. Things haven't gone to plan to start the season, with both Pagan and Yates stumbling out the gate. Pagan has pitched only one clean inning in four appearances thus far, allowing a combined five earned runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 frames. He was summoned in the eighth inning to protect a two-run lead Thursday and squandered the opportunity after allowing a single, triple, sacrifice fly and walk sandwiched around a strikeout. The Padres have a deep bullpen this season, so Pagan's setup role could be in jeopardy if he isn't able to figure things out soon.
