Iglesias struck out two in 1.2 perfect innings Monday, earning the save over the Cubs.

Since giving up seven runs in two outings to end June, Iglesias has made five straight scoreless appearances in July. During that span, he's gone 1-0 with three saves and lowered his ERA to 3.79.

Smith picked up the save in the nightcap of San Francisco's doubleheader against the Rockies on Monday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning to close out a 2-1 victory. He walked one and didn't record a strikeout.

Smith blew his first save of the season his last time out, but he bounced back with a clean effort in this one, needing 17 pitches to dispatch of the Rockies and pick up his 24th save of the season. The left-hander has been one of the better closers in baseball this season despite playing for the last-place Giants, as he's now sporting a 2.11 ERA, a stellar 0.81 WHIP and a 54:9 K:BB through 38.1 innings.

Rodriguez (4-5) picked up the win in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Rockies, giving up one earned run on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking none in a 2-1 victory.

Making his first start with the big club since May 31, Rodriguez was sharp, posting five solid frames before departing after just 66 pitches. It was a nice outing, but the 27-year-old has struggled overall for the Giants this season, as he's got a 4.99 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP over 61.1 innings, so it remains to be seen if this was enough to earn him another turn in the big-league rotation.

Mayers (lat), who has a 2.45 ERA over 7.1 innings during his rehab assignment, could be activated in the coming days, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports. "There's always a constant evaluation," manager Mike Shildt said. "It's about how he feels, how he recovers, and we'll get him up here. I texted with him today, he's feeling good, and he's excited about his pitches and where he is and how he's recovering, so everything is moving forward positively."

The veteran right-hander would be a welcome addition to the bullpen for the stretch run, and his chance to begin contributing again after his extended layoff could come soon. Mayers has a maximum of 11 days on his rehab assignment, so the latest he could be activated would be July 26.

Pomeranz has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Pomeranz was available out of the bullpen during Sunday's matchup, though he wasn't called upon, leaving him available to make Tuesday's start. However, it is possible that the Giants use Pomeranz as an opener Tuesday, especially considering Andrew Suarez was held back from his scheduled start for Triple-A Sacramento, per Baggarly.

Jackson struck out two and allowed no hits and no walks through a scoreless ninth inning Monday to record his 17th save in a 4-2 win over the Brewers.

Jackson entered the game with a two-run lead and quickly slammed the door to nail down his 17th save of the season. While Jackson often allows baserunners and makes things interesting, the right-hander has earned saves in his last four appearances and has a 2.87 ERA with a 12.3 K/9 overall this season.

Webb (elbow) is optimistic that he'll be able to return from the injured list after the 10-day minimum, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Webb was placed on the shelf Monday due to a right elbow impingement, though he believes the issue to be minor. A timeline for his return likely won't be announced until the results from the right-hander's MRI and CT scan are revealed, however. Webb will be eligible to return from the injured list beginning July 23.

Rodriguez was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

As expected, Rodriguez will join the major-league squad and start the nightcap of Monday's doubleheader. Ray Black was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Wilson will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Tuesday's game against Milwaukee, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

As anticipated, Wilson will return to the big leagues and make a spot start, and he could remain in the starting rotation for another turn if he delivers a decent performance. If the right-hander does manage to remain in the major leagues, it would likely be just for one more outing, as Kevin Gausman (foot) appears to be closing in on a return from the injured list.

Webb was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow impingement Monday.

The move was made retroactive to Saturday, so Webb could return as soon as next Tuesday if healthy. It's not yet clear how much time he's expected to miss. Huascar Ynoa was recalled in a corresponding move.
