  • Phillies' Seranthony Dominguez: Shaky but scoreless relief outing

Dominguez threw 1.1 scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Brewers, striking out three while allowing a hit and a pair of walks.

Dominguez entered the game with one out and a three-run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, allowing a single before getting out of the inning with a strikeout and a popout. He struck out the first two batters in the eighth but seemed to tire at the end of his 35-pitch outing (having thrown 17 pitches the night before) and walked the next two batters before being pulled from the game. The pair of walks tripled his season total, leaving him with a still stellar 3.9 percent walk rate through his first 21.1 career innings. The lack of walks combined with his excellent 35.1 percent strikeout rate makes Dominguez one of the better relievers in baseball at the moment, though the Phillies will have to be wary of overworking him if he's to keep up this level of performance.

  • Mets' Robert Gsellman: Collects third save Sunday

Gsellman struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Sunday to pick up his third save of the season in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Manager Mickey Callaway suggested after Jeurys Familia was reinstated from the disabled list that he "wouldn't be afraid" to use him in the ninth inning right away, but instead he called upon Familia in the eighth with the Mets down by a run, and then turned to Gsellman to close things out after the team rallied in the top of the ninth. In all likelihood Familia will regain closing duties soon enough, but Gsellman's solid numbers (2.79 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 41:17 K:BB in 42 innings) could keep him in the picture, especially if Familia continues to struggle as he did Sunday.

  • Reds' Raisel Iglesias: Escapes trouble, earns 10th save

Iglesias allowed one run on three hits across 1.1 innings but escaped with his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Pirates. He struck out two.

Iglesias actually struggled even more than his line would indicate, allowing an RBI double with two outs in the eighth with the potential tying run thrown out at home on the same play. He was spotted another couple of runs in the top of the ninth, both of which came in handy as he was scored upon again in the bottom of the inning. Iglesias has been shaky of late, allowing at least one earned run in four of his last eight outings while also recording a loss and a blown save during that span.

  • Brad Boxberger RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Brad Boxberger: Implodes to blow save

Boxberger (1-3) allowed four earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out two to blow the save and take the loss Sunday against the Mets.

Things began according to plan for Boxberger, as he entered the game in the ninth inning with a two-run lead and struck out the first two batters he faced. However, he allowed the next four batters to reach base, including back-to-back home runs by Brandon Nimmo and Asdrubal Cabrera. This marked his third blown chance of the season, though he still ranks fifth in the National League with 16 saves.

  • Braves' Arodys Vizcaino: Slams door Sunday

Vizcaino allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning as he notched his 15th save Sunday against San Diego.

After entering the game in the ninth with a three-run lead, Vizcaino surrendered two hits before settling down to fan two hitters and escape with the save. He's converted eight straight save opportunities, and he hasn't allowed a run since May 15 against the Cubs.

  • Matt Strahm RP | KC

Padres' Matt Strahm: Puts together solid performance

Strahm allowed no runs on one hit while striking out five across 2.2 innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.

Strahm certainly did his part, as he worked into the third inning while serving as an opener for Sunday's "bullpen day" in the series finale, although the Padres would ultimately lose 4-1. He sports a stellar 2.21 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 17 strikeouts across 20.1 innings this season.

  • Marlins' Trevor Richards: Tagged with loss

Richards (1-4) surrendered six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out two across 3.1 innings Sunday as he took the loss against the Orioles.

Richards had been solid through his past three outings coming into Sunday's start, allowing four runs across 15.2 innings, but Baltimore jumped on him for two runs in the second, two in the third and two more in the fourth, putting his team in a 6-1 hole. The 25-year-old right-hander has made eight starts thus far in 2018, posting a 5.45 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP while allowing opposing hitters to bat .272 against him through 38 innings.

  • Caleb Ferguson RP | STL

Dodgers' Caleb Ferguson: Takes loss Sunday

Ferguson (0-1) allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits and one walk while striking out six across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Giants.

Ferguson allowed only three baserunners but surrendered two home runs, the direct cause of all the tallies he allowed. He was solid otherwise, generating an impressive 16 swinging strikes and starting 13 of the 19 batters he faced with a strike. After throwing only 57 and 65 pitches, respectively, in his first two starts of the season, Ferguson was allowed to throw 84 in his start Sunday. That bodes well for him pitching deeper into games if he remains in Dodgers' rotation moving forward.

  • Hector Neris RP | HOU

Phillies' Hector Neris: Allows four runs Sunday

Neris allowed four runs in just 0.2 innings Sunday, yielding two home runs, four hits and one strikeout in a 10-9 win over Milwaukee.

Jake Thompson would relieve Neris and clean up his mess to record a one-out save. After the awful performance Sunday, Neris' ERA has shot up to 6.00 on the season. Though he didn't enter this game with a save situation (it was 10-5 to start the bottom of the ninth), Neris, who also has three blown saves this year, could have hurt his chances to receive such opportunities in the near future. Seranthony Dominguez still looks like the best option for those.

  • Mets' Robert Gsellman: Set to rejoin setup ranks

Gsellman is slated to work as a setup man for the Mets following Jeurys Familia's (shoulder) reinstatement from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.

As one of the Mets' top relievers this season, Gsellman was considered one of the likelier candidates to close for the Mets while Familia was sidelined. With the Mets going 2-6 during Familia's absence and Anthony Swarzak notching the lone save opportunity made available during that stretch, Gsellman didn't pay dividends for those who scooped him up in pursuit of help in the saves category. Gsellman should immediately settle back into a high-leverage role in front of Familia, whom manager Mickey Callaway stated he wouldn't be afraid to use in a save situation Sunday.
