Joe Jacques RP | NYM
Diamondbacks' Joe Jacques: Sent back to Reno
The Diamondbacks optioned Jacques to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
One day after coming up from the minors, Jacques will return to Triple-A following the arrival of Thyago Vieira, who was claimed off waivers from Baltimore on Thursday. Jacques has allowed seven earned runs in just 6.1 innings since joining the Diamondbacks organization in April, and a return to Arizona isn't likely, barring a significant turnaround.

Keegan Thompson RP | COL
Cubs' Keegan Thompson: Activated, staying at Triple-A
Thompson (illness) was activated from the 15-day injured list Friday and was optioned to Triple-A Iowa, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Thompson has been recovering from a viral illness since mid-May and was rehabbing with Triple-A Iowa this week. While he's over the illness, he'll stick around in the minors, where he started this season. He's appeared in three games for Iowa during his rehab stint, yielding one run on three hits with six Ks over 4.2 innings.

Porter Hodge SP | CHC
Cubs' Porter Hodge: Loses roster spot
The Cubs optioned Hodge to Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Ryan Herrera of CHGO Sports reports.
Hodge flashed both his wipeout stuff (seven strikeouts) and control problems (four walks) during his first five major-league innings. He'll get another chance eventually, but for now he'll attempt more fine-tuning at Iowa.

Jake Junis RP | TEX
Brewers' Jakob Junis: Covers two innings in rehab start
Junis (shoulder/head) struck out three over two perfect innings in his rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Nashville.
According to MLB.com, Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Junis reported no issues with his shoulder coming out of the rehab appearance, his first at any level since he was placed on the injured list April 6. The Brewers haven't yet decided on a role for Junis once he's ready to come off the 60-day IL, but with injuries beginning to pile up in the rotation, the right-hander could slot into a starting role once he gets fully stretched out in the minors. After throwing 21 pitches Tuesday, Junis is expected to increase his workload when he makes his second appearance for Nashville on Saturday.

Yency Almonte RP | LAD
Cubs' Yency Almonte: Taking rehab program to Arizona
Almonte (shoulder) has reported to the Cubs' spring training facility in Arizona and has been cleared to resume mound work, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
He'll likely throw multiple side sessions in Arizona before facing hitters in live batting practice or simulated games, prior to heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment. The reliever has been on the 15-day injured list since May 11 with a right shoulder strain.

Abner Uribe RP | MIL
Brewers' Abner Uribe: Out with knee injury
Uribe was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Nashville on Friday due to a knee issue, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
The specifics of the injury are unclear, and Uribe is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. The 23-year-old picked up three saves early in the season for the Brewers, but he was demoted in early May with a 6.91 ERA and 14:12 K:BB over 14 outings. Uribe was also suspended six games for his role in a benches-clearing brawling just before being demoted, though the ban was reduced to four games on appeal, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The right-hander will have to serve that suspension once back on the major-league roster, but the current focus is getting him healthy.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mets' Edwin Diaz: On track to return next week
Diaz (shoulder) said after his rehab appearance with High-A Brooklyn on Thursday that he will get one more rehab outing Sunday before being activated from the 15-day injured list on Wednesday or Thursday, SNY reports.
Diaz allowed one hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning for Brooklyn in his first rehab appearance. The reliever was pleased with his performance, saying after the game that his fastball had "new life" and his slider felt "great." Diaz is on track to return to the Mets' bullpen next week, although it's not clear whether he will serve as the team's closer right away.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Nationals' Hunter Harvey: Falls apart Thursday
Harvey (2-2) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, coughing up three runs on four hits in an inning of relief.
Taking the mound with the score tied 2-2, Harvey got two quick outs before the wheels came off, with the rally highlighted by Marcell Ozuna's two-run homer on a slider that caught too much of the plate. Harvey had been scored upon only once in his prior 10 appearances, and the long ball was just the second he's served up this season in 31.1 innings. The right-hander has been generally outstanding as the Nationals' top setup man, posting a 2.87 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB, and his 18 holds already has him one away from his career high.

Aaron Bummer RP | ATL
Braves' Aaron Bummer: Collects second win
Bummer (2-2) picked up the win Thursday over the Nationals, striking out one in a perfect seventh inning.
The southpaw set down the bottom of Washington's order on 13 pitches (eight strikes), and Atlanta took its first lead of the game in the top of the eighth. Bummer isn't seeing the high-leverage work he grew accustomed to with the White Sox, and he's still looking for his first hold of the season. After a bumpy start to the campaign, he's been tagged for earned runs in only one of 10 appearances since the beginning of May, posting a 1.64 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB through 11 innings over that stretch.
