Eovaldi (12-4) earned the win over the Mariners on Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings.

Eovaldi surrendered solo home runs in the second and third innings, which was just the second time in his last nine starts he's given up multiple homers in a start. He was given a chance for a quality start but allowed the first three batters to reach in the sixth and was pulled for Martin Perez, who would allow all three inherited runners to score. The five earned runs were the most given up by Eovaldi since April 12, and he hadn't given up six hits or more since June 10. He'll have a chance to redeem himself once more before the end of the regular season in a rematch against the Mariners.

Sears (5-13) yielded two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Detroit.

Sears gave up a two-run single to Spencer Torkelson in the third inning but looked solid otherwise. Sears has given up two or fewer runs in four of his last five starts, posting a 2.93 ERA during that stretch. For the year, he owns a 4.49 ERA and a 157:51 K:BB through 168.1 frames. Sears' next outing is lined up to be on the road against the Angels.

Marsh (3-8) picked up the win as the bulk reliever Sunday against the Astros. He allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings.

Marsh was shaky in this outing as he yielded four runs, but his offense provided enough support to pick up the win. However, the 25-year-old has performed admirably overall as a bulk reliever since moving into that role full-time Sept. 8. In four outings since then, he has gone 3-0 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB over 18 innings. Marsh's next and final bulk outing of the year should occur against the Yankees, assuming the Royals keep the same rotation schedule.

Rodriguez (12-9) allowed five hits and four walks over seven scoreless innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win over Oakland.

Rodriguez found himself in trouble a few times but was able to put out fires all afternoon in the scoreless outing. He rebounded well after being tagged with nine runs over his previous two starts. The veteran lefty owns a 3.40 ERA on the year and a 4.08 ERA in 10 starts since the beginning of August. Rodriguez's next start is currently lined up to be at home against the Guardians.

Brown (11-13) took the loss Sunday against the Royals, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk over three innings. He struck out four.

Brown allowed a season-worst four home runs Sunday, marking the third time in his last four starts allowing six runs or more. He has gone 1-3 with a 9.67 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB over 17.2 innings in those four outings. The 25-year-old rookie appears to have worn down over the long season, as he sports a 6.67 ERA over 60.2 innings post-All-Star break. Brown will look to right the ship in his last start of the regular season, currently scheduled to be at Arizona.

Crawford (6-8) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings against the White Sox. He struck out seven.

Crawford has now tallied seven strikeouts in three straight starts, though he finished with the loss Sunday after allowing three runs between the fifth and sixth innings in a rain-shortened game. The 27-year-old Crawford sports a 4.23 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP and 128 strikeouts as he heads into his final start of the season, currently scheduled for next weekend in Baltimore.

Clevinger (9-8) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings against the Red Sox. He didn't record a strikeout.

While he failed to log a strikeout Sunday, Clevinger held the Red Sox to just two runs on a pair of solo homers, earning the win in a rain-shortened affair. The 32-year-old Clevinger has been pitching well recently, allowing two runs or fewer in each of his last four outings with a 1.61 ERA in that span (28 innings). He'll carry a 3.40 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 108 strikeouts into his final start this season, currently scheduled for next weekend against San Diego.

Gibson (15-9) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over seven innings against the Guardians. He struck out four.

Gibson scattered six baserunners over seven strong innings, with the only damage to his line coming on an RBI groundout by Kole Calhoun in the fourth. Following a rough August that saw him allow 26 runs in 29.2 innings, Gibson has now allowed 8 runs in 24.1 September innings. He'll likely have one more chance to make a case at earning a role in the Orioles' postseason rotation with a start scheduled to take place next weekend at home against the Red Sox.

Rodon (3-7) took the loss Sunday, allowing five runs on five hits and a walk over 6.1 innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out four.

The Diamondbacks got to Rodon twice in the opening inning, putting the Yankees in an early 2-0 hole. The left-hander would then deliver five shutout innings before Arizona scored three more runs in the seventh. Rodon's been inconsistent of late, pitching to a 6.65 ERA over his last four starts (21.2 innings). Overall, it's been a tough first season with the Yankees for Rodon -- he'll carry a 5.74 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP and 64 strikeouts into his final start of the year, currently scheduled for late next week in Kansas City.

McKenzie (0-2) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on one hit, six walks and no strikeouts over 1.2 innings against the Orioles.

McKenzie (elbow) was making just his third start of the season and first since June 10. He could never find his command in walking six batters while throwing just 19 of 52 pitches for strikes. Following a promising first inning, he gave up three runs in the second and was pulled after a third consecutive walk allowed the third run to cross the plate. The most important development for McKenzie, who had a 2.96 ERA over 191.1 innings in 2022, is that he appears to have left this start healthy. If the Guardians decide to roll him out for one more start, it will likely take place next weekend in Detroit.
