Greinke allowed two hits and struck out five without walking a batter over four scoreless innings Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Greinke was also efficient, throwing 38 of 53 pitches for strikes in his first outing since Aug. 6. He was dealing with elbow soreness, but it looks like that's out of the way now. The veteran right-hander still sports an ugly 5.34 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 78:15 K:BB through 114.2 innings over 23 outings this season. Greinke may still need a few more outings to build up his pitch count. He's projected for a home appearance versus the Pirates next week, but it's unclear if he'll start or work as a piggyback option again.

Rodon did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits over six innings against the Nationals. He struck out one.

Rodon pitched well in his return from the IL while making it through six innings for the first time this season. Through seven starts (33 innings) this season, Rodon is 1-4 with a 6.27 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 26:18 K:BB. He'll look to build on Tuesday's outing in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend in Tampa Bay.

Giolito (7-10) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks over six innings against Cincinnati. He struck out nine.

The only run charged against Giolito came on the second batter of the game, as Matt McLain launched a solo homer. Giolito then kept the Reds off the board until the fifth, when a two-out error by Nolan Schanuel brought a pair of runners in to score and allowed Elly De La Cruz to reach and eventually cross home plate himself. Though Tuesday's outing was Giolito's best in an Angels uniform, he ended up taking another loss, his fourth since joining the team. Overall, Giolito owns a 4.32 ERA and a 159:53 K:BB across 26 starts (148 innings), and he's tentatively scheduled to take on the Phillies next time out.

Houck (3-7) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings against the Astros. He struck out two.

After a two-month stint on the IL recovering from being hit in the face by a comebacker, Houck returned to the mound against Houston on Tuesday. Despite the lengthy absence, Houck unfortunately picked up right where he left off, taking his seventh loss of the season and extending his win drought to 118 days (10 starts). Though he was limited to 69 pitches in Tuesday's return, fantasy managers should expect Houck's pitch count to increase over the next few starts. However, he's lined up to take on the Dodgers next time out, making him an unattractive option in nearly all fantasy formats.

Verlander (3-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing five hits and one walk over six scoreless innings in a 7-3 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out nine.

Fantasy managers got vintage Verlander Tuesday, as the veteran racked up a season-high strikeout total while posting his third shutout effort. The performance represented a welcome resurgence for Verlander, who had allowed 10 runs and struck out 13 batters during his last three starts (18 innings). He's lined up to make his next appearance during a three-game series rematch against Boston at Fenway Park next week.

Ober did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over five innings against the Brewers. He struck out three.

All the damage against Ober came early, with Willy Adames launching a two-run home run in the first inning to mark Ober's seventh consecutive start allowing a long ball, a streak that dates back to the All-Star Break. He also tied his season high in walks and was pulled after 78 pitches despite holding the Brewers to a pair of hits. The outing continued a mildly concerning stretch of brief starts for Ober, who has gone five or fewer frames in five consecutive appearances. He'll likely have a tough time pitching deep in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Rangers.

Rodriguez did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out five.

Rodriguez logged his third consecutive quality start Tuesday, though he was ultimately stuck with a no-decision in the Orioles' 6-3 defeat. The 23-year-old Rodriguez has pitched to a 3.24 ERA in seven starts since he was recalled from Triple-A on July 17. Overall, he's now 3-3 with a 5.38 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 91:34 K:BB across 17 starts (87 innings) this season. Rodriguez is currently lined up for a home matchup with the White Sox in his next outing.

Turnbull (neck) allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five across 3.2 innings in a rehab outing with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Turnbull made his sixth and final rehab appearance but the results weren't impressive. Across his last two outings, he's allowed nine earned runs across 8.2 innings, though he has maintained a 10:3 K:BB in that span. Given those results, it's possible that the Tigers opt to activate Turnbull and then option him to Toledo with the hopes that he can regain his top form.

Greinke (elbow) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his expected appearance Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Greinke landed on the injured list Aug. 8 with right posterior elbow soreness. The veteran allowed five earned runs in his last outing, falling to 1-12 on the season. It's expected Greinke will follow opener Angel Zerpa in Tuesday's game. With the 39-year-old's reinstatement from the IL, Dylan Coleman was optioned to Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.

The Mariners will likely limit Woo to four innings Tuesday against the White Sox, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Woo was just activated from the injured list after missing 18 days with a forearm injury, and since he didn't go on a rehab assignment, the team will be cautious with his workload in this first start back. He is a solid add in fantasy going forward, but don't expect Woo to qualify for a win in Tuesday's start.
