Irvin (6-10) took the loss against the Astros on Sunday, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out one and walking one over six innings.

After holding Houston to six earned runs across 24.2 innings this season, the Astros finally got to Irvin. He threw 56 of 84 pitches for strikes in the contest, but only managed a single strikeout. The one strikeout was his lowest single-game total this season, and the eight hits allowed tie a single-game season high for Irvin. The lefty will take a 3.13 ERA into his next appearance.

Gausman (8-9) allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five in 4.2 innings to take the loss during Sunday's matchup against the Guardians.

Gausman tossed 14 scoreless innings over his two starts ahead of Sunday's outing, but he struggled mightily against Cleveland. He gave up runs in the first, second and fourth innings and was ultimately pulled after allowing two more runs in the top of the fifth. Gausman certainly showcased his dominance over his first two starts in August, but he's posted a lackluster 4.13 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 28.1 innings over five starts following the All-Star break. The right-hander projects to make his next start on the road against the Yankees on Friday.

Wacha (7-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing zero runs on two hits and one walk over seven innings in a 3-0 win over the Yankees. He struck out nine.

Wacha was nothing short of electric Sunday night against the Yankees, holding New York to just three total baserunners over seven innings in his first start since being activated from the IL with a shoulder injury. Of note, he got the best of MVP frontrunner Aaron Judge, holding him hitless with two strikeouts over three at bats en route to nine total strikeouts on the night, his highest total of the season. The right hander has been great this season with a 2.44 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, which is backed up by his xERA of 2.69, but interestingly he holds a 4.30 xFIP. He tentatively lines up to take on the Orioles in Baltimore next.

Bieber (8-6) allowed two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out six in seven innings to earn the win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Although Bieber gave up eight hits during Sunday's matchup, he limited the run production en route to his fourth consecutive win. The right-hander has posted quality starts in each of his last four appearances and has posted a 1.67 ERA and 0.89 WHIP in 27 innings over that stretch. He projects to make his next start at home against the White Sox on Saturday.

Taillon (11-3) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits and zero walks over seven innings against the Red Sox. He struck out four.

Taillon got off to a rocky start as Tommy Pham led off the game with a double to deep center and later came around to score. The only other damage came from a two-run home run off the bat of Rafael Devers in the sixth. The Yankees' starter was outdueled by Michael Wacha on the night, but it was promising that Taillon did not walk a batter for the first time since July 16. He will look to get back in the win column in his next start, which is slated to be against the Blue Jays this week.

Whitlock picked up the save Sunday against the Yankees. He pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.

Whitlock was fantastic Sunday, striking out Andrew Benintendi and Aaron Judge before getting Josh Donaldson to ground out to record his third save on the season. With Tanner Houck injured, Whitlock has recently split save opportunities with John Schreiber. Whitlock has a strong 2.98 ERA and 0.98 WHIP and has only blown one save opportunity in 23 appearances this season, but Schreiber has also been great. Expect the two relievers to continue splitting opportunities as long as Houck is sidelined.

Singer (6-4) earned the victory Sunday over the Dodgers, striking out seven in six scoreless innings while allowing a hit, three walks and a hit batsman.

Singer did not allow a hit until the fifth inning when Chris Taylor singled. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner and Freddie Freeman went a combined 0-for-9 with three strikeouts against Singer as the righty did his part to end the Dodgers' 12-game winning streak. The 26-year-old has allowed one earned run or fewer in five of his last six starts and has a 1.64 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB in 38.1 innings in that span. His next start will likely be at the end of the week in Tampa Bay.

Lynn (3-5) earned the victory Sunday over Detroit, striking out seven in six innings while allowing two runs on five hits.

All the damage against Lynn came in the third inning, when three hits and a wild pitch led to two runs. After that, he cruised through the last three innings, facing the minimum as he erased the only hit with a double play. The veteran is beginning to look more and more like himself and has a 3.34 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 34:2 K:BB in 29.2 innings over five starts since the All-Star break. His next start will likely be at the end of the week in Cleveland.

Lyles (9-9) took the loss Sunday in Tampa Bay, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine in 4.1 innings.

Lyles is not known as someone to rack up strikeouts, but he punched out a season-high nine batters Sunday, including five in the first two innings. Randy Arozarena knocked a three-run homer to put the Rays on the board in the third, and Lyles was removed in the fifth inning with one out and two on. Since the beginning of July, the 31-year-old has a 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 44:17 K:BB while allowing nine homers in 50 innings across nine starts. His next start will likely be at the end of the week against Boston.

Rasmussen (7-4) earned the win Sunday against Baltimore, striking out seven and allowing a run on one hit in 8.1 innings.

Rasmussen came within three outs of tossing a perfect game Sunday, but his efforts were thwarted when Jorge Mateo knocked a double on the first pitch of the ninth inning. It was an efficient outing as he tossed 87 pitches -- 62 for strikes. Rasmussen was removed with one out in the ninth after his second wild pitch of the inning led to a runner reaching safely after a dropped third strike. Since returning from a hamstring injury at the beginning of July, he's compiled a 1.94 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 33:9 K:BB in 41.2 innings over eight starts.
