Suarez (1-2) picked up the win Sunday versus the Mariners. He allowed a run on five hits and struck out eight over six innings.

Suarez pitched behind opener Andrew Wantz, who was ejected after he hit Jesse Winker with a pitch, which ignited a brawl between the teams. The lone run on Suarez's line was from an Abraham Toro solo home run in the sixth inning, but the Angels were able to pull ahead in the seventh while the southpaw was still in the game. Suarez had not completed more than five innings in a start at the major-league level prior to Sunday. He owns a 4.36 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB across 33 innings overall. The Angels' pitching plans are still in flux heading into next week, but Suarez's next start is expected to be a road date in Houston next weekend.

The Blue Jays promoted Zulueta from High-A Vancouver to Double-A New Hampshire on Sunday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

New Hampshire will mark the third stop of the season for Zulueta, who began the campaign at Single-A Dunedin before moving up to Vancouver. Between the two affiliates, the 24-year-old Cuban right-hander produced a 3.53 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 35.2 innings while striking out 54 and holding opposing hitters to a .208 batting average. According to Zwelling, Zulueta will continue to make regular starts for New Hampshire and could eventually join the Blue Jays later this season as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen.

Cortes allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in five innings during Sunday's win over the Astros. He didn't factor into the decision.

Cortes' strikeout total improved Sunday after he totaled just 10 strikeouts over his last three starts, but he gave up at least three runs for the third time in his last four outings and was forced to settle for the no-decision. The left-hander has been held under six innings in each of his last four starts, and he's posted a 5.68 ERA in 19 innings during that time. He projects to make his next start on the road against Cleveland on Saturday.

Urquidy allowed a run on a hit and three walks while striking out three in seven innings during Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.

Urquidy carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning Sunday but was forced to settle for a no-decision after the Astros' bullpen gave up the team's lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. While the right-hander's strikeout total remained limited, he finished with his fourth quality start over his last five outings. Over those five starts, Urquidy has posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 29.1 innings. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Angels on Saturday.

German (shoulder) is scheduled to make his next rehab appearance Tuesday with Double-A Somerset, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

German will make a two-level jump in competition after he tossed three scoreless innings while giving up one hit and no walks in his first rehab outing Wednesday with Single-A Tampa. He threw 39 pitches in that start and will presumably look to eclipse the 50-pitch plateau in Tuesday's contest. Though the Yankees are having German build up for a starting role, he likely won't have a spot waiting for him in the big-league rotation if the team's current five starters all remain healthy by the time he's ready to return from the 60-day injured list.

Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Sears could be called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this week to make a spot start with the Yankees, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The Yankees have all five of their starting pitchers in optimal health, but Boone is still eager to temporarily add another arm to the mix in an effort to afford each member of the rotation some added rest amid a heavy schedule of games. According to Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune, Sears was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, which seemingly supports the notion that he's on track to join the Yankees for their three-game series with the Athletics to begin the week. In his first MLB start May 25 against the Orioles, Sears struck out five over five scoreless innings.

Cease (6-3) earned the win Sunday over Baltimore, fanning 13 in seven innings while allowing one run on four hits and a walk.

Cease struck out six of the first seven batters he faced on his way to a season-high 13 strikeouts. The lone run against him came on Jonathan Arauz's third-inning solo shot. It was his second consecutive double-digit strikeout performance and he finished the month of June with 45 punchouts in 27.1 innings. His 13.4 strikeouts per nine innings lead all of baseball. The 26-year-old's next start will likely be next weekend in San Francisco.

Lyles (4-7) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four in seven innings.

Lyles battled through seven innings, tossing 111 pitches and eating innings for the Orioles. All four runs against him came in the first four innings, including a two-run shot by Gavin Sheets to get the White Sox on the board in the second. He cruised through the final three innings, allowing just one baserunner. While his 4.98 ERA and 1.47 WHIP are not pretty, Lyles has consistently given Baltimore innings, lasting at least five frames in 13 of his 15 starts. His next start will likely be next weekend in Minnesota.

The Red Sox will call up Seabold from Triple-A Worcester to start Monday's game in Toronto, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Seabold will be stepping into the rotation as a replacement for Kutter Crawford, who was optioned to Worcester after serving as Boston's No. 5 starter while both Garrett Whitlock (hip) and Nathan Eovaldi (back) remain on the injured list. Over 11 starts at Worcester in 2022, Seabold has posted a 2.09 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 51.2 innings.

McClanahan (8-3) earned the win Sunday against Pittsburgh, striking out 10 while allowing one run on four hits in seven innings.

McClanahan spent the day confusing hitters and inducing weak contact as he dominated the Pirates lineup. After he allowed a one-out double in the fourth, the lefty retired the final 11 batters he faced. Over his last nine starts, the 25-year-old has a 1.07 ERA and 76:6 K:BB in 59 innings and has tossed at least six innings while allowing two earned runs or fewer in each appearance. His next start will likely be next weekend in Toronto.
