He performed admirably, getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning and allowing only one run to cross the plate in his 65-pitch outing. That helped New York mount a comeback, though the Phillies ultimately pulled out the win in the 10th frame. Cortes will likely be unavailable for a few days after the extended effort, but he has pitched well with a 1.93 ERA and 13:5 K:BB across 9.1 frames this season to justify his long-relief spot in the Yankees' bullpen.

Houck (elbow) recently got up and down during a bullpen session and will face hitters next, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Manager Alex Cora was pleased that Houck responded well to getting up and down during the bullpen session and has sketched out the next steps for the right-hander. Next up is facing batters followed by game action. Houck has not pitched in a game since May 4.

Garcia (5-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out four across 4.1 innings, taking the loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Garcia surrendered a two-run home run to Jorge Polanco as a part of a three-run fifth inning. His five-start winning streak came to an end Saturday after he failed to make it through the fifth inning. The 24-year-old still has a strong 2.98 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP with 72 strikeouts in 63.1 innings. He will look to get back on track in his next start, which will likely come next weekend against the White Sox.

Berrios (7-2) allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out eight across seven innings to earn the win Saturday over the Astros.

Berrios fired six shutout innings before surrendering a pair of seventh-inning home runs to Kyle Tucker and Robel Garcia. He hasn't lost since April 20 and is 5-0 in his last eight starts. The 27-year-old has a 3.49 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP with 81 strikeouts in 77.1 innings. Berrios' seven wins has anchored a struggling Twins' team, with no other pitcher recording more than three wins this season.

Allard (2-2) picked up the win in Saturday's 12-1 victory over the Dodgers, allowing no runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings.

Allard delivered his best start of the season against a quality opponent in this one, only encountering trouble in the fourth when he loaded the bases with two outs, but he induced a Zach McKinstry ground out to kill the threat. The 2015 first-round pick has now allowed four runs in 14 innings over his last three appearances, all starts, and owns an impressive 2.91 ERA.

Taillon allowed four earned runs on five hits and one walk while recording just one out in the first inning of Saturday's loss to the Phillies. He did not record a strikeout and did not factor in the decision.

The Phillies' bats did not wait around against Taillon, as each of the first four batters recorded singles off the right-hander. A walk, sacrifice fly and a fifth single ultimately ended Taillon's day after just one-third of an inning, though the Yankees rallied back late to take the 29-year-old off the hook for the loss. The ugly outing increased Taillon's ERA to 5.74 on the campaign, but he'll look to get on track next Friday in his start against the Athletics.

Cobb hurled three innings against Arizona on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander breezed through his first two innings, allowing only one hit. However, things fell apart for Cobb in the third frame, as he gave up six singles, a double and a walk while watching five Diamondbacks cross the plate. He has given up 10 earned runs over his past 10 innings after a strong run during which he yielded only one earned run over 17 frames. The inconsistent play has resulted in a subpar 4.98 ERA, though Cobb's 52:14 K:BB on the season is more promising. He's tentatively slated to face Detroit at home in his next start Friday.

Hill did not factor in the decision against Baltimore on Saturday, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five.

The left-hander came into the contest having yielded two or fewer runs in eight straight outings, but that streak came to an end when Austin Wynns scorched Hill for a grand slam in the fifth inning. The veteran contributed to his own demise by issuing two walks and allowing a single prior to the long ball, and the start was his shortest since May 2. Hill still carries a solid 3.38 ERA on the season, and he's slated to make his next start at Seattle next week.

Urena (2-6) allowed eight runs (seven earned) on five hits and three walks with one strikeout in 1.2 innings, taking the loss versus the White Sox on Saturday.

Urena's shortest start of the year was quite the disaster, as he also gave up a season-high seven earned runs. The right-hander has struggled to a 5.16 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 37:27 K:BB across 61 innings this season. He projects to make his next start on the road versus the Angels next week.

Cease (5-2) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings to earn the win Saturday versus Detroit.

The right-hander's lone mistake was a two-run home run allowed to Harold Castro in the first inning. Cease had alternated strong and poor starts in his previous six outings, but he put in a decent effort Saturday. He's pitched to a 3.38 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 85:29 K:BB across 66.2 innings in 13 starts. The 25-year-old lines up for a road start in Houston next week.
