Luzardo (1-1) recorded the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins, scattering two hits and a walk over 5.1 scoreless innings while striking out six.

It was the best outing of the season for the young southpaw, who fired an impressive 44 of 65 pitches for strikes before exiting the game. Luzardo still has a 5.89 ERA through 18.1 innings and hasn't been allowed to go too deep into any games yet, but his 21:8 K:BB highlights his upside. He's next set to take the mound Sunday in Baltimore.

Rodon (3-0) earned the win Tuesday at Cleveland after allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with eight strikeouts and five walks over five innings.

The 28-year-old followed up his no-hitter with another effective performance Tuesday, though the walks led to an elevated pitch count and prevented him from pitching deeper into the contest. The runs were the first Rodon has surrendered this season, and he now has a 0.47 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 24:8 K:BB through three starts (19 innings). He lines up to face the Tigers at home next Tuesday.

Berrios (2-2) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Athletics, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

It was another sharp outing for the right-hander, who tossed 59 of 89 pitches for strikes, but the Twins failed to score a run in either half of the twin bill. Berrios will take a 3.00 ERA and 30:7 K:BB through 21 innings into his next start, set for Monday in Cleveland.

Ryu (1-2) allowed four earned runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out two across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Ryu had little trouble getting through three scoreless innings to begin the outing. However, he ran into trouble in the fourth, allowing singles to the first two batters he faced followed by a three-run homer to Xander Bogaerts. Entering the contest, Ryu had allowed only four earned runs across his first 19 innings of the season to go along with a 19:2 K:BB. This performance should just be a small setback, and Ryu will look to bounce back in his next start, currently projected to come Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Gonzales (1-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers despite allowing one run on two hits with six strikeouts and one walk across seven innings.

Gonzales and Julio Urias were engaged in a pitcher's duel Tuesday, and the two offenses combined for one run on three hits all afternoon. It's a brutal loss for Gonzales, but the performance remains a welcome sight after he surrendered 12 runs over his first two starts of the season. The 29-year-old will look to build on that performance early next week at Houston.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Atlanta, giving up one run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander threw 55 of 80 pitches before hitting the showers. His only stumble came in the third inning, when he gave up back-to-back doubles to Guillermo Heredia and Ehire Adrianza. Taillon is still looking for his first win (and first quality start) of the season, and he'll take a 5.40 ERA and 15:2 K:BB through 13.1 innings into his next outing Sunday in Cleveland.

Rodriguez (3-0) allowed two earned runs on three hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Rodriguez allowed two solo home runs but only one other base knock across his six innings of work. It was longest outing of the season, as he had worked five frames in each of his first two starts of the campaign. His early returns have been excellent, as he's racked up a 18:2 K:BB while maintaining a 3.38 ERA across 16 innings. The only blemish currently on his profile is that he's surrendered 2.3 HR/9, though his ability to limit other baserunners has mitigated the damage thus far. He lines up to make his next start Sunday against the Mariners.

McCullers (illness) will make his next start on the upcoming homestand, which begins Thursday against the Angels, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

This is pretty vague, as the Astros' homestand runs from April 22 through April 29, but considering McCullers is dealing with a non-COVID illness, one would assume he has a chance to start this weekend against the Angels. Luis Garcia is getting a spot start Tuesday in Coors Field.

Manager Tony La Russa said Tuesday that Lynn (trapezius strain) is expected to return after spending the minimum 10 days on the injured list, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

La Russa said the evaluation of Lynn on Tuesday was positive, so he's on track to get back on the mound April 27 at home against the Tigers. He looked spectacular to start the season before getting hurt, posting a 0.92 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with a 27:2 K:BB across 19.2 innings (three starts).

Farrell's contract was selected prior to Tuesday's doubleheader in Oakland, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Caleb Thielbar was placed on the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. Farrell will work in low-leverage situations in the short term.
