Heaney (1-1) yielded five runs on eight hits in 3.2 innings, striking out four batters and taking the loss against Texas on Sunday.

After allowing just one run through three innings, things unraveled for Heaney in the fourth. He coughed up four runs on five hits (four of which were singles) before getting yanked. Heaney's season ERA jumped from 2.35 to 4.26 with the rough outing. He'll get a home matchup with the local rival Dodgers on Saturday.

Lynn (2-0) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks across five innings Sunday, striking out six batters and earning the win over the Angels.

Lynn cruised through four shutout innings before coughing up a two-run shot to Tommy La Stella in the fifth frame. The veteran has allowed two or fewer runs in all four starts this season, sporting a 1.16 ERA through 23.1 innings. He'll get a tough road matchup against the Rockies on Saturday.

Eovaldi allowed three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out 10 across six innings Sunday against the Blue Jays. He did not factor into the decision.

Eovaldi racked up strikeouts on the strength of 19 swinging strikes on 91 total pitches. He did allow two solo home runs -- one to Bo Bichette and the other to Cavan Biggio -- to account for the majority of the damage against him. Still, it was a relatively strong outing for Eovaldi, who now has an impressive 24:3 K:BB to go along with a 4.09 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 22 innings. He's currently projected to make his next start Friday at the Yankees.

Rodon (shoulder) played catch Saturday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The left-hander was placed on the 10-day injured list with shoulder soreness Tuesday, but his quick return to throwing is a good sign for his recovery. Rodon remains without a timetable for his return, though he could rejoin the White Sox within a few weeks.

Morton said he's "not worried about missing much time" after exiting Sunday's start with right shoulder inflammation, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The veteran right-hander labored through two innings versus the Yankees, and he was removed after allowing one run on three hits with two walks and one strikeout. Morton's progression over the next few days figures to determine his availability for his next turn through the rotation, which currently lines up for Saturday against the Blue jays. Trevor Richards, who entered in long relief Sunday, is a likely candidate to enter the rotation should Morton miss any time.

Turnbull (2-0) pitched seven innings of one-run ball to record the win Sunday against the Pirates. He allowed five hits and two walks while striking out four.

Turnbull was dialed in, as he worked through seven strong innings on 92 pitches. This was the longest outing of the season for the 27-year-old, who has allowed just four earned runs through 18 innings. Turnbull looks like the best pitcher on the Detroit staff right now, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled for Friday against Cleveland.

Morton was removed in third inning of his start Sunday against the Yankees due to right shoulder inflammation, FOX Sports Sun repots.

While inflammation isn't an overly serious injury, Morton could require some follow-up scans and may still be a candidate for the 10-day injured list, which would result in him missing at least a start or two. Trevor Richards entered Sunday's game in place of Morton and would likely be a candidate to make a spot start or serve as a primary pitcher out of the bullpen in the event Morton is unable to make his next turn through the rotation. Morton is currently lined up to start Saturday's road game against the Blue Jays.

Morton was lifted in the top of the third inning of his start Sunday against the Yankees with an apparent injury, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports. He gave up a run on three hits and two walks and struck out one before departing.

After walking the first batter of the third inning, Morton briefly met with a trainer on the mound before heading to the dugout. The Rays will likely provide an update on Morton later in the game or after the contest concludes, but for now, his availability for his next scheduled start Aug. 15 against the Blue Jays is muddled.

Odorizzi allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Saturday.

A limited pitch count was expected for Odorizzi after he missed the start of the season with a back issue, and he could only get nine outs on his 71 pitches. He gave up a homer to Jorge Soler in the third inning, so this was one to forget, but Odorizzi took a big leap last season and he's in a great situation with the Twins. The right-hander will look to go deeper into the game next week in a rematch against the Royals, this time in Minnesota.

Allard didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 2-0 win over the Angels, allowing two hits and a walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

After David Fletcher greeted him with a leadoff double to begin the game, Allard settled in and retired 10 straight batters before issuing a free pass to Anthony Rendon in the fourth inning. The 22-year-old southpaw has been sharp since moving into the rotation, posting a 1.00 ERA and 9:3 K:BB through nine innings in his two starts, but Allard will face a tough task in his next outing Friday -- a road start in Coors Field.
