Odorizzi didn't factor into the decision against the Braves on Monday, giving up one earned run on five hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking three as the Twins won 5-3.

He didn't get the win, but it was a second straight solid outing for Odorizzi after he endured a nine-run blowup against the Yankees on July 24. He's cooled down since his lights-out start to the season, but the 29-year-old's numbers still look solid overall through 22 starts, as he's sporting a 3.61 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a 120:40 K:BB across 114.2 innings.

Sandoval allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight over five innings Monday against the Reds. He didn't factor into the decision.

Sandoval entered the contest with a 5-0 deficit, but after surrendering a pair of runs in the second, he was able to settle down. He went on to fire four scoreless frames before his night came to and end. Considering the current injuries to Los Angeles' starting rotation, there's a good chance Sandoval will see another turn, especially following a strong showing.

Bassitt threw six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Monday, giving up two earned runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out five and walking two as the Athletics fell 6-5.

Bassitt tossed his third quality start in his last five outings, but it wasn't enough to get him his eighth win of the season, as he was locked in a pitcher's duel with an equally solid Kyle Hendricks. Still, the 30-year-old is logging a solid season for Oakland, as he's now sporting a 3.80 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP and a 101:39 K:BB over 106.2 innings. He'll take the mound next in a Sunday road matchup against the White Sox.

Turnbull didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 7-4 loss to the White Sox, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over three innings while striking out seven.

The right-hander was limited to 76 pitches (46 strikes) in his return from a back strain, but Turnbull still managed to post his best strikeout total since late May. Assuming he has no setbacks, he'll take a 3.72 ERA and 95:41 K:BB through 101.2 innings into his next start Saturday, at home against the Royals.

Giolito (12-5) picked up the win in Monday's 7-4 victory over the Tigers, giving up three runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings while striking out eight.

The right-hander now has four quality starts in his last five trips to the mound and 12 on the season, as Giolito continues to emerge as the ace of the White Sox staff. He'll carry a 3.44 ERA and 158:47 K:BB through 130.2 innings into his next outing Sunday, at home against the A's.

Civale (1-1) took the loss Monday as Cleveland fell 1-0 to the Rangers, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over six innings while striking out seven.

The right-hander was outstanding in his return to the majors, but Mike Minor was just a little bit stingier for Texas. Civale now has quality starts in both of his outings this season for Cleveland, and his stay in the majors figures to be a lengthier one this time around. He'll next take the mound Saturday in Minnesota.

Morton (12-4) gave up two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out nine through seven innings to take the loss against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Morton delivered another quality performance, but he was tagged with the hard-luck loss. This was an encouraging performance because the right-hander has a 4.85 ERA and a 26:6 K:BB in his last four starts. The 35-year-old is having an impressive season overall, posting a 2.77 ERA with 174 strikeouts. Morton will make his next start Saturday against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park.

Carrasco (illness) will throw a pair of bullpen sessions this week, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Carrasco has been out since late May while battling leukemia. It remains unclear whether or not he'll be able to return to the mound at some point this season, but he's been continuing his throwing program as if that remains a possibility.

Severino (lat) is expected to throw of a mound Friday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Severino has been ramping up his throwing program and will have one more long toss session prior getting back on a mound Friday. He'll still have time to return, likely in a bullpen role, at least initially, as long as his recovery continues without further setbacks.

Sandoval had his contract purchased from Triple-A Salt Lake ahead of his scheduled outing Monday against the Reds.

As expected, Sandoval is slated to make his major-league debut as the primary pitcher behind opener Taylor Cole on Monday. The 22-year-old southpaw owns a 6.41 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 66:35 K:BB in 15 starts (60.1 innings) with Salt Lake this season. Luke Bard (triceps) was placed on the 10-day IL, while Felix Pena (knee) was transferred to the 60-day IL in a pair of corresponding roster moves.
