Heaney (shoulder) felt good following a simulated game Monday and expects to return this weekend in Boston, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Heaney hasn't pitched since mid-July due to shoulder inflammation. The Angels have yet to provide an exact return date, but it sounds as though he'll be back without requiring a rehab start.

Glasnow (forearm) played catch from 60 feet Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Glasnow has been out of action with a forearm strain since mid-May and hadn't thrown in any capacity since suffering a setback in late June. He still has time to pitch again this season, possibly in a bullpen role, though even a minor setback at this point could result in him being shut down for the season.

Turnbull (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the White Sox.

Turnbull recorded a solid 3.65 ERA in 19 starts prior to landing on the injured list in late July with a back strain. Both his 20.5 percent strikeout rate and his 8.9 percent walk rate are slightly worse than average, hinting at some possible regression, but neither number is particularly poor. According to Evan Woodbery of MLive.com, the Tigers will ease the right-hander back into action, limiting him to around 70 pitches Monday. Jordan Zimmermann (neck) landed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Chirinos was placed on the 10-day injured list with right middle finger inflammation Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Chirinos won't throw for two weeks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports, leaving him unlikely to return before the start of September. It's a tough blow for a team that is already missing Blake Snell (elbow) and Tyler Glasnow (forearm). Trevor Richards, acquired in a deadline-day trade from Miami, is a possible candidate to take his place in the rotation.

Civale was recalled from Triple-A Columbus ahead of his scheduled start against the Rangers on Monday, Nick Camino of WKYC Channel 3 Cleveland reports.

As expected, Civale will enter the rotation Monday in place of the injured Danny Salazar (groin). The 24-year-old Civale allowed just two hits while striking out six batters across six shutout innings in his big-league debut earlier in the season. Phil Maton was sent to the minors in a corresponding move.

Gonzales could see his innings limited down the stretch if the Mariners opt to expand their starting rotation to six pitchers, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gonzales has logged 139.2 innings thus far this season across 24 starts, putting him on pace for approximately a career-high 200 frames for the season. The left-hander is handling his workload very well by and large, going 12-9 with a respectable 4.32 ERA and 1.23 WHIP for a non-contending squad. However, with the possibility that prospects Justus Sheffield and Justin Dunn get a crack at the big leagues when rosters expand in September, Gonzales could see his workload curbed as the season nears its end.

Kikuchi could see his innings limited down the stretch if the Mariners opt to expand their starting rotation to six pitchers, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. "It's just a different schedule here than Japan, having to pitch more frequently and maybe a little more stressful innings," manager Scott Servais said. "We have to be patient with this. We said from Day 1 it's a developmental year for him. There have been some good signs and some outings that haven't been as good. He will learn from it."

The team had planned to be particularly watchful of Kikuchi's innings in his first season stateside, and a plan to limit him to just a one-inning start approximately once a month had even been initially put in place to help in that regard. However, Servais has ultimately only deployed that strategy twice, and the Japanese southpaw is on pace for approximately 169 frames, which was more or less his target range. Prospects Justus Sheffield and Justin Dunn are two possibilities for a sixth starter role if it is indeed implemented.

A date for Snell (elbow) to resume throwing could be determined Monday, the Associated Press reports.

The left-hander underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery July 29, and he's not expected to be ready to return for several more weeks. However, if Snell is able to start a throwing program sometime this coming week, he could potentially beat his projected early September timeline.

Keller (7-11) gave up two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven through seven innings to take the loss against the Twins on Sunday.

Keller registered 11 swinging strikes and delivered a quality start, but he was out-dueled by Devin Smeltzer and handed the loss. The 24-year-old has improved his control recently, walking only 17 batters in his last 12 starts after allowing 42 free passes in his first 12 starts. Keller has a 3.95 ERA and 106 strikeouts through 24 starts this season. Keller will make his next start Friday against the Tigers at Comerica Park.

Turnbull (back) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to start Monday's game against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Turnbull was expected to make one more rehab outing before being reinstated, though it appears the Tigers have changed their plans for the right-hander. He's been on the shelf since July 20 due to an upper-back strain. Eduardo Jimenez was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.
