Eovaldi (elbow) is expected to throw another bullpen session Sunday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Manager Alex Cora said the team wants him to get used to pitching every day. He will likely need to go out on a rehab assignment at some point soon and is then expected to take over the closing duties for the Red Sox.

Mejia was designated for assignment Saturday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

The Twins needed to make room for Jake Odorizzi (blister) to be activated from the injured list. Once a top prospect, Mejia was no longer being developed as a starting pitcher, and he struggled as a big-league reliever. He could get claimed by another team, given his pedigree and the fact that he's left-handed.

Odorizzi (finger) was activated ahead of Saturday's start against the Indians.

A blister resulted in there being 10 days in between starts for Odorizzi, but he hardly missed any meaningful time due to the All-Star break.

Bundy was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right knee tendinitis.

Bundy started feeling something in his knee while warming up for Friday's start, but he opted to try to pitch through it, which seems like a mistake in hindsight. He gave up seven earned runs while recording just three outs in that start against the Rays. Gabriel Ynoa, who threw 5.1 innings Friday after Bundy exited, could start in his place in the short term.

Bundy has knee tendinitis and could require a stint on the injured list, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Glasnow (forearm) is scheduled to meet with a doctor next week before the Rays decide on the next step in his rehab program, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

If the doctor determines during the checkup that Glasnow's strained right forearm is healing as anticipated, the 25-year-old could be cleared to resume a throwing program next week in a best-case scenario. Even if that's the case, Glasnow -- who has been on the shelf since mid-May -- would likely need around a month to condition his arm for a starter-level workload. Don't expect Glasnow to pitch for the Rays until late August at the earliest.

Cease is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Royals.

After winning his big-league debut July 3, Cease will have to wait nearly two weeks for his follow-up effort. Due to the recent All-Star break, the White Sox were able to reshuffle their rotation and pushed Cease to the back of the pitching order, likely in an effort to manage his workload. Between Triple-A Charlotte and the majors, Cease has covered 73.1 innings this season. No shutdown for the right-hander should be imminent after he tossed 124 frames in the minors in 2018.

Milone struck out five over 2.1 perfect innings of relief in a 13-0 loss to the Angels on Friday.

Though he remains a member of the Seattle rotation, Milone was available out of the bullpen for the first game of the second half since he would still be able to pitch on his normal rest ahead of his next scheduled turn July 17 in Oakland. The southpaw was one of the few bright spots on the night for the Mariners, but his efforts were for naught with the team already trailing 9-0 when he entered the contest.

Turnbull didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Royals, giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks over three innings while striking out one.

Making his return to the rotation from a bout of shoulder fatigue, Turnbull didn't appear to have been helped much by his time off, throwing 32 of 56 pitches for strikes before making a quick exit. The right-hander will carry a 3.59 ERA and 85:37 K:BB through 92.2 innings into his next start Wednesday in Cleveland.

Cole struck out 13 but didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Rangers, giving up four runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over six innings.

The ball was flying at Globe Life Park, as the two teams combined for nine homers, but Cole was able to minimize the damage on his long balls while fanning double-digit batters for the 10th time this season. Unfortunately, the Houston bullpen cost him his 10th win. The right-hander will take a 3.23 ERA and 183:32 K:BB through 122.2 innings into his next start Wednesday, on the road against the Angels.
