Orioles' John Means: Lasts five frames in loss
Means (5-4) took the loss Saturday at Cleveland by allowing three runs on five hits over five innings. He walked three and struck out one.
Means wasn't at his best Saturday, but he likely would have been saddled with the loss regardless, given that the Orioles mustered only one hit. The 26-year-old still sports a 2.68 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB across 43.2 innings, and he lines up to face the Rockies at Coors Field next weekend.

Tigers' Matthew Boyd: Strikes out eight in loss
Boyd allowed four runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and no walks across 6.1 innings while taking the loss against the Athletics on Saturday.
The 28-year-old struck out at least eight batters for the third time in his last five outings, but the long ball hurt him once again. After yielding only two homers in his first seven starts, Boyd has tossed up five bombs in his last 16.1 innings. He is 4-4 with a 3.41 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 73 strikeouts in 60.2 innings this season. Boyd is scheduled to start next against the Mets on Friday.

Over his last three starts, the 24-year-old has allowed only two runs, 10 hits and six walks while striking out 20 batters over 19.1 innings, lowering his ERA to 3.35 and WHIP to 1.16.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Astros' Wade Miley: Start bumped up
Miley will start Sunday against the Red Sox rather than Monday against the White Sox, Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic reports.
Miley was bumped up in the rotation thanks to an off day earlier in the week. It'll be his second start of the week as a result, though it's too late for owners in most formats to alter their plans. He'll lose his expected two-start week next week and will be forced to face a much tougher opponent.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Rays' Blake Snell: Strikes out nine in no-decision
Snell allowed one run on six hits and one walk over six innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Saturday. He struck out nine.
Snell pitched very well, scattering six singles throughout his six-inning stint. The only blemish for the 26-year-old was a third-inning run on two singles, a walk and a wild pitch. The left-hander has a 3.31 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP this season, and his next scheduled start is Thursday on the road against the Indians.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Yankees' James Paxton: Sunday bullpen on tap
Paxton (knee) will throw a bullpen session Sunday and is still expected to return to the big-league rotation at some point next week, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
He says his hope is to not feel his knee injury at all in Sunday's bullpen session. Paxton still felt the knee a little in Friday's bullpen session, so it sounds like he needs to feel some improvement before he is confirmed to return next week.
