Kyle Gibson SP | BAL
Twins' Kyle Gibson: Strikes out seven in no-decision
Gibson allowed two runs on two hits and two walks across 5.2 innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Indians. He struck out seven.
Gibson's only real mistake came on a solo home run on the fifth inning by Edwin Encarnacion, with the other run on his ledger coming after he walked the leadoff man in the sixth and watched as the bullpen allowed him to score. He threw the ball well, delivering 64 percent of his pitches for strikes and inducing eight groundball outs. Gibson has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts and will take a 3.54 ERA as well as a surprising 9.6 K/9 into his scheduled start next weekend against the Angels.

Artie Lewicki SP | ARI
Tigers' Artie Lewicki: Lined up to start Tuesday
Lewicki is listed as the Tigers' probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
The Tigers had the option of using Lewicki for Game 1 of their doubleheader Monday against the Yankees, but they will instead promote Drew VerHagen from Triple-A Toledo to fill that vacancy, leaving Lewicki to take the hill for the series opener in Boston. With neither Jordan Zimmermann (shoulder) nor Francisco Liriano (hamstring) seemingly in line to return by the upcoming weekend, one of Lewicki or VerHagen will likely pick up a second start. Lewicki posted unremarkable numbers (5.06 ERA, 1.53 WHIP in 32 frames) in a starting role for Toledo earlier this season, but has been effective in relief since joining the Tigers in mid-May, posting a 2.57 ERA and 1.29 WHIP and striking out 12 over 14 innings.

Alex Cobb SP | DET
Orioles' Alex Cobb: Orioles-Yankees postponed Sunday
Cobb's scheduled start Sunday against the Yankees was postponed due to inclement weather in New York.
The Orioles and Yankees will make up the contest Aug. 25 as part of a split doubleheader. Baltimore has yet to announce how the postponement will affect its pitching schedule during the upcoming week, but Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports speculates that manager Buck Showalter will simply move each of the rotation members back a day. If that proves to be the case, Cobb would take the hill for the Orioles' first game of the week Tuesday against the Mets.

Domingo German SP | PIT
Yankees' Domingo German: Yankees-Orioles postponed Sunday
German's scheduled start Sunday against the Orioles was postponed due to inclement weather.
The Yankees and Orioles will make up the postponed contest Aug. 25 as part of a split doubleheader. Incidentally, the Yankees are already scheduled to make up a doubleheader Monday in Detroit, so it's likely that German will simply be pushed back a day in the pitching schedule to take the hill for one game of the twin bill. Luis Severino is expected to start the other game for the Yankees.

Michael Kopech SP | LAD
White Sox's Michael Kopech: Control issues haunt Saturday's loss
Kopech allowed seven runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over two innings for Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.
Kopech served up another reminder why the White Sox are holding him back at Triple-A. Just 23 of his 53 pitches went for strikes, and he walked four batters for the fourth time in the last six starts. He's gifted 20 free passes over his last 26 innings. Control has been his bane and rears itself often enough to label him inconsistent, and he warrants patience on the part of the organization.

Cole Hamels SP | SD
Rangers' Cole Hamels: Fans eight in Saturday's no-decision
Hamels didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out eight.
The veteran left-hander delivered his fourth quality start in his last five outings and sixth of the season, throwing 65 of 99 pitches for strikes while generating an impressive 17 swinging strikes. Hamels will carry a 3.63 ERA into his next start Friday at home against the Astros.

Marco Gonzales RP | TEX
Mariners' Marco Gonzales: Earns third straight win
Gonzales (6-3) allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 6.2 innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.
The lefty allowed an RBI double near the end of his outing but was otherwise excellent. He has now earned a win in each of his last three starts and has allowed all of one earned run in his last four turns spanning 26 innings. It's been a massive turnaround from a season ago (6.08 ERA, 1.75 WHIP), and the peripherals mostly support what Gonzales is doing. He gets the Rays again his next time out, this time in Tampa Bay.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Hit hard in loss to Yankees
Gausman (3-5) was hit with the loss Saturday against the Yankees, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits in 5.1 innings. He stuck out nine and walked none.
Gausman's nine strikeouts were the second most he's totaled in an outing all season, but when he wasn't striking batters out he was getting hit pretty hard; the Yankees knocked him around for five extra-base hits, including a pair of two-run homers courtesy of Miguel Andujar and Aaron Judge. He's now allowed 12 earned runs over his last two starts (eight innings), raising his ERA from 3.48 to 4.63 over that stretch. Gausman will look to turn things around in his next start, which will come on the road against the Blue Jays.

Justin Verlander SP | DET
Astros' Justin Verlander: Leaves with lead, gets no-decision
Verlander allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision in Saturday's loss to the Red Sox.
Verlander was hurt by the walks as both runners came around to score on singles by J.D. Martinez, but he left with a lead after 101 pitches through six innings before Boston hammered reliever Will Harris for a pair of seventh-inning home runs. The Red Sox were pesky and fouled off a ton of pitches, forcing Verlander to expend 44 pitches to get through two innings. He left the game with a minuscule 1.24 ERA over 87.1 innings and is expected to make his next start Friday against the Rangers in Arlington.

Matthew Boyd SP | CHC
Tigers' Matt Boyd: Tosses seven innings against Blue Jays
Boyd allowed four runs on six hits and two walks across seven innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday. He struck out three.
Boyd pitched reasonably well Saturday, but a pair of two-run innings spoiled his bid for a quality start. After not allowing a home run in May (six starts, 34 innings), Boyd served up a pair of solo homers -- to Yangervis Solarte and Luke Maile -- in his first start of June. He'll take a solid 3.23 ERA into his next start, which will be a tough road matchup against the Red Sox.
