Carlos Carrasco RP | ATL
Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Ties AL lead with 16th win Saturday
Carrasco (16-6) picked up the win against the Royals after pitching 6.2 innings and allowing four runs on eight and two walks while striking out five Saturday.
While tying for the AL lead in wins, Carrasco also surpassed Bartolo Colon for 13th on the Indians' all-time strikeout list with 871. Despite notching his lowest strikeout total since Aug. 1, the right-hander picked up his fourth straight win to extend his career-high total. His 186 innings, 206 strikeouts and 1.10 WHIP also rank in the AL's top five with just two weeks remaining this season. Carrasco will look to keep things rolling when he takes the hill Friday in Seattle.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Yankees' Sonny Gray: Start bumped up to Sunday
Gray will start Sunday's game against the Orioles, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The Yankees don't want CC Sabathia pitching on Toronto's turf next weekend, so they'll switch up their rotation to accommodate. Gray, who is coming off a complete-game gem earlier in the week, will now make his next start on normal rest. He owns a 2.66 ERA and 49:17 K:BB in eight starts since being traded to the Yankees.

Jordan Montgomery RP | TEX
Yankees' Jordan Montgomery: Hurls six shutout innings in Saturday win
Montgomery (8-7) allowed no runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings to earn the victory Saturday against the Orioles.
Montgomery silenced the Orioles bats while receiving a pair of three-run homers from the offense to help him earn his eighth victory of the campaign. He came into this contest having allowed nine earned runs over his last 12 innings covering three starts. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Earns rare save in Saturday victory
Musgrove allowed one run on one hit while striking out three across two innings to earn the save Saturday against the Mariners.
Musgrove was protecting a three-run lead, and aside from allowing a solo homer in the ninth inning, he easily closed out the victory. This was just his second save opportunity of the season, and the first one he was able to convert. With a 4.89 ERA on the season, he hasn't been a strong fantasy option.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Fires six strong innings in Saturday victory
Keuchel (13-4) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four across six innings to earn the victory Saturday against the Mariners.
Keuchel had a comfortable six-run lead before allowing a solo homer in the sixth inning, and he was removed after throwing just 90 pitches, as he earned his 13th victory of the campaign. Over his last four outings, he's alternated solid and poor performances, but with a 2.96 ERA, he's been an excellent fantasy option over the course of the season. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Angels.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Mariners' James Paxton: Struggles in return to rotation
Paxton (12-4) took the loss against the Astros on Friday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over only 1.1 innings without striking out a batter.
He needed 50 pitches to record those four outs before getting the hook, throwing just 27 of them for strikes. Paxton hadn't made a start for the M's in over a month and didn't get an opportunity for a proper rehab assignment, so some rust was to be expected. The lefty will next take the mound Thursday at home against the Rangers.
-
Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Astros' Charlie Morton: Outduels James Paxton
Morton (12-7) allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven to get the win Friday over Seattle.
Morton, who had been 0-2 and allowed nine runs over 17.2 innings in three previous starts against Seattle this season, finally broke through in his fourth attempt. In all four starts, Morton squared off with Seattle ace James Paxton, who had limited one of the American League's most prolific offenses to one run over 20 innings in his previous three starts. Morton will take the mound next Friday against the Angels.

Lance McCullers SP | MIL
Astros' Lance McCullers: Could move to bullpen
McCullers (arm) is being considered for a move to the bullpen, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Manger A.J. Hinch was vague when discussing McCullers' immediate future beyond Saturday's bullpen session, but it sounds like the manager's unsure about how much volume the right-hander can handle. McCullers was scratched from a start earlier this week due to arm fatigue. Hinch said he "probably" will use McCullers in the series opener against the White Sox on Tuesday, but he had not decided who will start the game.

Chris Sale SP | ATL
Red Sox's Chris Sale: Strikes out nine but takes no-decision Friday
Sale allowed four runs on six hits and three walks despite striking out nine over 5.2 innings in a no-decision Friday against the Rays.
Sale has been extremely inconsistent of late. Since July, Sale has allowed one or fewer runs in eight of his 13 starts, but he has allowed four or more runs in four of the remaining five. This was mediocre Sale on Friday, and it's these occasional bumps in the road that could wind up costing him the Cy Young race to Cleveland's Cory Kluber.

Luis Severino SP | ATH
Yankees' Luis Severino: Fans seven in Friday victory
Severino (13-6) allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven across eight innings to earn the win Friday against the Orioles.
Severino gave up a two-run homer in the second inning, but the Yankees came up big on the offensive end, helping him earn his 13th victory of the season. He's allowed just three earned runs over three September starts, and he's given fantasy managers an excellent boost during the fantasy playoffs season. He'll make his next start Friday against the Blue Jays.
