Rays' Blake Snell: Fans four in no-decision

Snell allowed three earned runs over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Rays. He finished the day allowing six hits and two walks while notching four strikeouts.

The young left-hander is still in search of his first win of the season after the Rays bullpen coughed up the lead late in Saturday's contest. Still, there were some positive takeaways for Snell in this outing, as he limited damage for the most part and only surrendered two walks. However, Snell did give up a home run for the third consecutive start and his WHIP now sits at a subpar 1.55. His next start is scheduled for Thursday against the Astros in Houston, where he'll face Collin McHugh.

  • Chris Sale SP | ATL

Red Sox's Chris Sale: Next start pushed back to Tuesday

Sale will start against Cleveland on Tuesday, not Monday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

The Red Sox will give Sale an extra rest day as they work Doug Fister into the rotation to replace the injured David Price. Sale still lines up for two starts next week, with the second coming against his old club, the White Sox.

  • Sonny Gray SP | BOS

Athletics' Sonny Gray: Next start pushed to Monday

Gray's next scheduled start has been pushed back to Monday, Joe Stiglich of NBC Sports California reports.

The timing of Gray being pushed back is interesting given that his name has come up in trade discussions with several teams and the trade deadline is set for Monday. With that, there is the possibility that Gray has pitched his last game in an Athletics uniform. Jharel Cotton (finger) will come off the disabled list to start Sunday's game in Gray's place. Look for more updates on Gray as the trade deadline approaches.

  • Frankie Montas RP | NYM

Athletics' Frankie Montas: Mixed bag in multi-inning appearance

Montas struck out four and allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks over 2.1 innings in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Twins.

Montas' 49-pitch outing was anything but dull, with his control issues leading to an elevated pitch count. The hard-throwing reliever appears to be struggling with some of the same issues that led to his demotion to Triple-A Nashville earlier in the season, but his considerable upside and tantalizing upper-90s fastball are likely to continue affording him plenty of rope for the time being.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Early exit in Friday's return

Keuchel struck out three and gave up three runs on six hits and three walks over three innings in a no-decision against the Tigers on Friday.

On the shelf for almost two months due to a nerve issue in his neck, Keuchel showed more than a little rust in his return to action, but a Josh Reddick homer in the top of the eighth inning saved the lefty from his first loss of the year. Keuchel at least threw 79 pitches (45 strikes) Friday, which should allow him to handle a full workload in his next start Wednesday at home against the Rays.

  • Angels' Parker Bridwell: Collects fifth victory of 2017 on Friday

Bridwell (5-1) allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out four over 7.1 innings to earn the win Friday against the Blue Jays.

Bridwell had a shutout going until giving up his only run of the evening in the eighth inning, leading to his fifth victory of the campaign. He's held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his four starts this month, and he's been a fantastic find for fantasy owners, as he holds a 2.83 ERA. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Phillies.

  • Andrew Heaney RP | LAD

Angels' Andrew Heaney: Will start in Triple-A on Monday

Heaney (elbow) will make a rehab start at Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Pedro Moura of The Los Angeles Times reports.

After undergoing Tommy John surgery a year ago, Heaney continues to make progress during his rehab, working his way up from the AZL Rookie League team to Triple-A Salt Lake within the past few weeks. During three appearance in Rookie ball, Heaney allowed just two earned runs while striking out 15 in nine innings of action. The left-hander is expected to throw five or six innings during Monday's outing, and could wind up making a couple more starts at the Triple-A level while building his arm back up to its past form.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Activated ahead of Friday's start

Keuchel (neck) was reinstated from the 10-day DL prior to Friday's start against the Tigers.

Keuchel will make his return to the mound for the first time since June 2 after competing in a couple of rehab assignments over the past few weeks. It remains to be seen whether the left-hander will be restricted by a pitch count after only throwing 62 during his rehab outing Saturday, but fantasy owners will take solace in the fact that Keuchel's finally back on the mound after a lengthy stay on the DL.

  • Yu Darvish SP | SD

Rangers' Yu Darvish: Actively being shopped

The Rangers informed potential suitors Thursday that they are actively looking to trade Darvish before the July 31 deadline, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.

After Darvish served up a career-high 10 runs in the Rangers' embarrassing 22-10 loss to the Marlins on Wednesday, it appears the organization changed its stance regarding trading their ace, with previous reports having suggested that general manager Jon Daniels would only move the right-hander in the "right deal." Now 4.5 games off the pace for the American League's second wild-card spot entering play Friday and with three other teams ahead of them in the standings, the Rangers seem to be realistic about their long playoff odds, so they will look cash in on their best trade chip in pending free agent Darvish. Even with Wednesday's disaster of an outing raising his ERA above 4.00 for the season, he is still widely viewed as the top available arm on the trade market, and could thus yield a high return, despite his status as a rental. Darvish tentatively remains in line to make his next start with the Rangers on Tuesday (Aug. 1), but based on Rosenthal's report, it's more likely than not that he'll be wearing a different uniform by the time that date arrives.

  • JC Ramirez SP | LAA

Angels' JC Ramirez: Takes loss despite decent outing Thursday

Ramirez (9-9) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Indians despite allowing just two runs on five hits and six walks in 6.2 innings pitched. He also struck out four.

Although the basepaths were frequently packed with Indians, Ramirez managed to work his way out of trouble more often than not. Unfortunately, the Angels' offense was unable to muster up enough run support to get him the victory. The 28-year-old's ERA is now down to 4.29 on the season, although his lack of command certainly made his WHIP jump up a tick. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start Wednesday against the Phillies.
