Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Astros' Charlie Morton: Hits 10-day DL with lat strain
Morton was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a strained lat muscle, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
The news seemingly comes out of nowhere, as Morton reported no issues after coming out of his most recent start Wednesday against the Tigers, when he gave up two runs over seven innings. The Tigers haven't issued a timetable for his return yet, but that could be solidified once Morton is reevaluated in subsequent days. Mike Fiers, who had recently been moved to the bullpen in favor of Brad Peacock, will likely reclaim a spot in the rotation with Morton's injury creating a vacancy.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Superlative in return to rotation
Keuchel (8-0) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Orioles.
Keuchel, who threw just 86 pitches, could have gone longer but was fresh off the disabled list and reached his pitch limit. He pounded the bottom of the zone with his sinker, showing no signs of rust after not having pitched in 11 days. With the win, Keuchel lowered his ERA to 1.81, bettering the pace he set though 10 games during his 2015 Cy Young Award-winning campaign (1.90). He's next scheduled to pitch Friday against the Rangers on an extra day's rest.

Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Twins' Adalberto Mejia: Fans six Saturday
Mejia (1-1) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings, but didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Rays.
Mejia tied his season-high with six strikeouts, but he wasn't able to collect enough run support to get him a win. Overall, he's posted just a single quality start in five outings this year, but his biggest benefit to fantasy owners is that he's struck out 19 batters over his last 19.2 innings. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Angels.

Jake Odorizzi SP | TB
Rays' Jake Odorizzi: Fails to finish six innings Saturday
Odorizzi (3-2) allowed two runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings, but didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Twins.
Odorizzi put 11 runners on base, leading him to burn through 118 pitches in less than six innings. Despite the shaky outing, he's allowed two or fewer earned runs in all but two starts this season, and he's been a strong fantasy option with a 3.14 ERA. He'll make his next start Friday against the Mariners.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Rangers' Yu Darvish: Suffers third loss of season Saturday
Darvish (5-3) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four across six innings to take the loss Saturday against the Blue Jays.
Darvish made one costly mistake, which resulted in a three-run homer to Jose Bautista, leading to his third loss of the campaign. He remains an excellent fantasy option with a 2.97 ERA while fanning more than a batter per inning. He'll make his next start Friday against the Astros.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Activated ahead of start Saturday
Keuchel (neck) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and is expected to start Saturday against the Orioles, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
As expected, Keuchel was brought off the disabled list ahead of his scheduled start Saturday. Keuchel, who has compiled a 7-0 record with a 1.84 ERA and 0.84 WHIP through nine starts this season, will face off against Wade Miley and the Orioles in his first game back.

Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Indians' Corey Kluber: Set to return Thursday
Kluber (back) is expected to start Thursday against the A's, Zack Meisel of Cleveland.com reports.
Kluber's recent dominant rehab start showed the Indians that he's ready to return to the big-league club. He's been on the shelf since early May due to some back stiffness, but he's progressed well in his rehab and is lined up to start Thursday. Prior to landing on the DL, Kluber had been a bit shaky with a 5.06 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP in six starts.
-
James Paxton SP | BOS
Mariners' James Paxton: Set to start Wednesday
Paxton (forearm) will get the start Wednesday against the Rockies, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News-Tribune reports.
The Mariners are getting close to full strength in the rotation with Paxton's impending return. Fortunately, Paxton will dodge a start at Coors Field and take the hill at home for the second half of the Mariners' interleague set with the Rockies. Paxton had been electric prior to landing on the disabled list, notching a 1.43 ERA with a 0.98 WHIP alongside 45 strikeouts in 37.2 innings.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Stifles Orioles on Friday
Musgrove (4-4) tossed seven scoreless innings Friday, scattering four hits and striking out six, in a 2-0 win over the Orioles.
The O's couldn't get a runner past second base against Musgrove, who rebounded from his shortest outing of the season to deliver his best and longest. It's only the right-hander's third quality start of the year, but he'll try to find some consistency in his next outing Wednesday in Minnesota.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Takes tough loss Friday
Gausman (2-4) allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out two over 6.2 innings in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Astros.
Both runs scored on solo home runs, as the long ball continues to be an issue for Gausman, but otherwise he seems to be turning the corner after his brutal start to the season. The right-hander has now produced quality starts in three of his last four trips to the mound with a 4.30 ERA and 18:4 K:BB in 23 innings over that stretch, numbers which are a vast improvement on his April performance. Gausman's next outing is scheduled for Wednesday at home against the Yankees.
