Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Struggles again, could head to bullpen
Berrios gave up five runs (three earned) over 2.2 innings with four walks to fall to 2-6 with a 9.27 ERA in Sunday's loss to Cleveland. Berrios may be moved to the bullpen to finish the season, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Berrios continues to struggle in the majors as he's given up four or more runs in each of his last five starts. Perhaps some success in limited innings in the bullpen can begin to turn the tide.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Mariners' James Paxton: Gets no-decision in quality start
Paxton took a no-decision after allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings during Sunday's 3-2 win over the A's.
Paxton delivered his first quality start since August 7, but didn't factor into the decision as Seattle didn't plate the game-winning run until the ninth inning. He also got his ERA (3.97) back under four with the outing despite walking multiple batters for the first time since July 2. He'll look to build on Sunday's success when he takes on the Astros at home next Saturday,

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: Throws off mound Sunday
Gray (forearm) threw 10-12 pitches off a mound Sunday, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports.
He will throw a bullpen session during Oakland's upcoming road trip, which starts Monday in Kansas City. There is a chance that Gray could return and pitch some innings for the A's before the end of the season, but it seems like a long shot for him to log enough quality innings to be of use in standard formats down the stretch, given where he's currently at in his rehab.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: Posts quality start in Saturday loss
Rodriguez (2-7) gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks over six innings in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays. He struck out five.
The lefty received very little run support, undermining what was his second straight quality start. Rodriguez fired 100 pitches overall, and only notched first-pitch strikes on nine of the 25 batters the faced. He did manage to record 15 swinging strikes, and has now given up only two earned runs in the 14 innings covering his last two starts. He'll try for his third win when he takes on the Yankees next Thursday.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Indians' Mike Clevinger: Allows one run over four innings in no-decision
Clevinger allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings Saturday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.
Clevinger pitched respectably in his second start of the month, and Josh Tomlin's and Danny Salazar's struggles have opened a possible door for him to continue in the rotation. He has a 5.01 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 40 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched on the season.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Solid despite no-decision Friday
Gausman didn't factor into the decision Friday versus the Tigers but turned in a quality start, giving up three earned runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out seven.
The righty turned in a strong effort despite an elevated pitch count, notching 14 swinging strikes overall. Gausman did consistently fall behind early in the count, recording first-pitch strikes on only 14 of the 27 hitters he faced. The 25-year-old had not given up an earned run since Aug. 18 against the Astros, a stretch that encompassed three starts and a total of 19 innings. Despite a 7-10 record, he's sporting a respectable 3.61 ERA, along with 155 whiffs in 152 innings. Gausman will look to get back on the winning track when he takes on the Rays next Thursday.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Rays' Blake Snell: Hit hard in Friday loss
Snell (5-8) gave up three earned runs on six hits and three walks over 2.2 innings in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees. He struck out three.
The rookie labored from the start and built up to a whopping 88 pitches by the time he got the hook in the third. Things started poorly for Snell in the first when he gave up an RBI double to Rob Refsnyder and then unraveled in the third. Gary Sanchez led off that frame with a 423-foot solo shot, while Mark Teixeira contributed a double two batters later. He eventually scored when Snell uncorked a wild pitch, and the Rays' starter was gone after allowing a single to Chase Headley, the next batter. The 23-year-old appears to have hit a rough patch recently, with his previous start against the Blue Jays being the exception. Otherwise, he's surrendered 10 runs (nine earned) over the 9.1 innings encompassing his three other starts since Aug. 22, all losses. He'll look to bounce back when he takes on the Orioles next Thursday.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Rangers' Yu Darvish: Strikes out nine over 6.2 innings versus Angels
Darvish allowed one run on three hits, struck out nine and walked one over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Friday.
When he left in the seventh, the game was tied and the go-ahead run for the Angels was on third base, but the runner was stranded, allowing Texas to go on to win 2-1. The 30-year-old has struck out at least nine batters six times since the All-Star break. His next start will be Friday against the Angels once again.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Goes six innings in twin
Rodon (7-8) allowed one earned run on six hits over six innings Friday. He struck out nine and walked two.
Rodon has now posted an impressive run of seven consecutive quality starts and is firmly entrenched in the middle of the White Sox rotation. For the season, he has a 3.80 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 138 strikeouts across 142 innings.
