Walker (14-5) earned the win Monday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Angels. He struck out six.

Walker dealt with plenty of baserunners Monday but managed to limit the damage to an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run single in the fourth. He exited the game with two outs in the sixth, holding a 5-3 lead and ultimately notched his 14th win, further adding to his career high. Walker has a 4.05 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 119:57 K:BB across 142.1 innings on the campaign. His next start is tentatively scheduled to come in Milwaukee over the weekend.

Megill did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings against the Rangers. He struck out eight.

Megill turned in quite a performance against a formidable Rangers offense, allowing just one run in the sixth inning while logging a season-high eight strikeouts. The 28-year-old right-hander had struggled to a 6.86 ERA in his prior four starts since rejoining the Mets' rotation earlier this month. Overall, Megill sports a 5.29 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP and 82:47 K:BB across 20 starts (97 innings) this season. He'll look to build on Monday's performance in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend against the Mariners.

Gray (7-11) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks over two innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out two.

After working out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning, Gray gave up four runs on three hits and two walks in the second. He'd ultimately need 63 pitches to record just six outs in the loss. It's been a tough stretch for Gray, who's struggled to an 8.84 ERA over his last five outings (19.1 innings). Overall, his ERA is up to 4.05 with a 1.48 WHIP and 120:71 K:BB across 26 starts (137.2 innings) this season. Gray will look to rebound in his next outing, currently lined up for this weekend against Miami.

Wainwright (3-10) allowed one run on eight hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out one and taking a loss against the Padres.

It's been a brutal season for Wainwright, and he couldn't catch a break Monday despite throwing a quality start. He tossed five shutout frames before the Padres finally broke through in the sixth inning. It was the first time he allowed fewer than three runs in a start since July 24, though he's still sporting an 8.10 ERA on the year. Wainwright is currently lined up to face the Pirates at home this weekend.

Snell (11-9) allowed two hits and five walks over seven shutout frames Monday, striking out nine and picking up a win over the Cardinals.

Snell's command was shaky again with five free passes and two wild pitches, yet he continues to dominate. It was his first scoreless appearance since July 30 and he lowered his ERA to 2.60 through 149 innings. Over his last 18 outings, Snell has posted a terrific 1.38 ERA with a 145:58 K:BB. The NL Cy Young candidate is currently expected to face the Giants at home this weekend.

Gomber was removed from Monday's start against Atlanta due to an undisclosed injury, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Gomber received a visit from the team trainer and skipper Bud Black with two outs in the top of the third inning, and he was walked off the mound shortly after. The reason for his departure is unclear at this time, so he should be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Whisenhunt (elbow) is making solid progress in his rehab work and is on track for a normal spring training, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

This is promising news for the southpaw, who was placed on the 7-day injured list earlier this month due to a left elbow sprain. The team was initially concerned that Whisenhunt would need Tommy John surgery or a different elbow procedure, but this latest update allows San Francisco to breathe a sigh of relief.

Stripling (back) completed a bullpen session Monday without issue, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

This is a positive sign for Stripling, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 19 due to a mid-back strain. The team will likely re-evaluate the right-hander Tuesday morning to determine the next step in his rehab.

Gonsolin (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Gonsolin was ruled out for the rest of the 2023 campaign after being moved to the 60-day injured list Sunday, but news of Tommy John surgery likely means he'll miss most, if not the entirety of 2024. This is more disappointing news for the right-hander, who will finish the year with a 4.98 ERA over 103 frames after posting a 2.14 ERA across 130.1 innings a season ago.

Manager Craig Counsell, via Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, indicated "the hope is Houser (elbow) will miss a couple starts then be ready to rejoin the rotation."

Houser landed on the injured list earlier Monday, so he will miss a couple starts regardless. However, it looks like he may only be facing the minimum stay on the injured list. The Brewers have not announced who will replace Houser in the rotation, but according to the report, they are expected to add a fifth pitcher rather than lean on Thursday's off day and make it through the next turn with only four starters.
