Cabrera was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mets with a left hamstring/adductor strain, Vinnie Duber of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Cabrera was hurt while extending to catch a throw to first base at the end of the fifth inning and appeared to be grabbing at his left thigh. He wasn't able to make it off the field by himself and had to leave the game in a cart. The Cubs will presumably send the right-hander in for imaging to determine the severity of his injury, and an update on his status could come after the game.

Lodolo suffered a left wrist contusion and exited Tuesday's contest against the Brewers in the fifth inning, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Lodolo was struck in the left wrist by a 107 mph line drive off the back of Jackson Chourio to open the top of the fourth inning. He was able to finish the frame, but he was ultimately forced to exit the contest before the fifth inning. Lodolo tossed four scoreless frames, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out six batters before his early departure. An update on the southpaw's status moving forward will likely be provided following the conclusion of Tuesday's contest.

Canning is expected to work as the bulk reliever behind opener Wandy Peralta against Atlanta on Tuesday, Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com reports.

The right-hander followed an opener in his previous appearance last week and delivered one of his better outings of the season, allowing one run across 4.1 frames to pick up his first victory. Despite that improved form, Canning's 6.64 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 41:25 K:BB across 42 innings for the season make him a volatile streaming option while going up against a strong offense.

The Padres recalled Sears from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Assuming he isn't need in relief for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Sears could draw the start for Wednesday's series finale. Lucas Giolito had been lined up to start or work in bulk relief Wednesday, but he was instead placed on the 15-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old Sears has languished over 14 starts with El Paso this season, pitching to a 7.92 ERA and 1.84 WHIP across 63.2 innings.

San Diego recalled JP Sears from Triple-A El Paso, and he could be called upon to fill Giolito's spot in the rotation, which comes up Wednesday versus Atlanta. Since being summoned from the minors to enter the San Diego rotation in mid-May, Giolito hasn't found much success over his seven outings with the big club. Between five starts and two bulk-relief appearances, Giolito has submitted a 5.16 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 18:23 K:BB in 29.2 innings.

Dollander underwent an internal brace procedure on his right elbow Monday, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Although Dollander managed to avoid undergoing a full Tommy John procedure, the operation will still put an early end to his second MLB season. He showed significant improvement in 2026, turning in a 3.89 ERA and 1.30 WHIP alongside a 47:18 K:BB in 44 innings across 10 appearances (three starts). A clearer timeline for his return could emerge as the 2027 campaign approaches.

Reds manager Terry Francona said that Greene (elbow) is slated to throw around 75 pitches during a rehab start with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Jaron May of WLWT Cincinnati reports.

Greene threw 54 pitches over four scoreless innings in his first rehab start last week in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, and he will continue to build up his stamina as he moves up to the Reds' top minor-league affiliate. Francona noted Tuesday that there remains no target date for Greene's return to the big-league rotation, as it depends on how the hurler's body responds. However, with Greene slated to get his pitch count up to 75, his season debut is likely right around the corner.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Scott (hip) is expected to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start this weekend against the Phillies, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

The right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated from the injured list Saturday, so his stay on the shelf due to a hip impingement will end up being a brief one. Scott threw a simulated game Monday and wil re-enter the Mets' starting rotation without a minor-league rehab assignment.

Meyer (bereavement) is expected to start Friday in St. Louis, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Meyer was placed on the bereavement list Monday, but it will not cost him a turn in the Marlins' rotation, as he'll be taking the ball on five days' rest Friday. The righty has had a breakout season in Miami, going 8-0 while collecting a 2.80 ERA and 102:34 K:BB over 90 innings covering 16 starts.

Perez (gracilis) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game versus the Rangers, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Manager Clayton McCullough indicated Monday that Perez would return from the IL on Wednesday as long as the right-hander bounced back from a pitch-design session without incident, and that appears to have come to pass. Perez's absence due to a right gracilis muscle strain lasted four weeks, which is half of the initial projected timetable laid out by McCullough when the 23-year-old initially landed on the shelf May 29. He threw 51 pitches in his lone rehab start, so Perez's workload may be limited Wednesday.
