Kelly was removed from Wednesday's game against the Dodgers with an apparent injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

It's unclear what exactly is wrong with Kelly, but the D-backs' trainer saw something he didn't like in Kelly's delivery. More information should come relatively soon, but fantasy managers should consider Kelly day-to-day for now. The 34-year-old righty has already missed a month of the season due to a blood clot in his right calf.

Gore (6-9) took the loss Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings in a 7-0 defeat against the Phillies. He struck out five.

Gore surrendered runs in each of the first four innings, including three in the opening frame, as the Nationals were no-hit by Michael Lorenzen on the other end in the 7-0 loss. The 24-year-old Gore had pitched well in his previous three outings, working to a 2.81 ERA over 16 innings. His ERA is now up to 4.62 with a 1.43 WHIP and 134:50 K:BB across 23 starts (117 innings) this season. Gore's currently lined up for a home matchup next week with the Red Sox in his next outing.

Lorenzen (7-7) no-hit the Nationals on Wednesday, issuing four walks while striking out five in a 7-0 win.

Lorenzen added his name to the history books Wednesday in his first home start with the Phillies. The right-hander did issue four walks and needed 124 pitches to deliver Philadelphia's first no-hitter since Cole Hamels' in 2015. The historic performance was an exclamation point in what's been a stellar campaign for Lorenzen -- he's allowed just five runs over his last six starts (31.2 innings), working to a pristine 1.11 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA is down to 3.23 with a 1.04 WHIP and 93:32 K:BB across 20 starts (122.2 innings) this season between Philadelphia and Detroit.

Davies (back) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday with Triple-A Reno, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

The date of his rehab debut has moved around a bit, but Davies is now officially locked in to return to live competition Thursday at Reno, and the expectation is that he will throw around 75 pitches in that start. Out since mid-July due to lower-back inflammation, he could rejoin the Diamondbacks as early as next week.

Cubs manager David Ross announced Wednesday that Smyly has been temporarily moved to the bullpen, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Chicago has three days off in the next week and can roll with a smaller rotation for a bit. Also clouding Smyly's role is that Marcus Stroman (hip) is due back within the next few weeks. The 34-year-old left-hander was lit up for seven earned runs over five innings in his last turn Monday versus the Mets as his season ERA rose to 5.05.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez confirmed Wednesday that Adon will have a permanent spot in the rotation down the stretch, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Washington is going to roll with a six-man rotation the rest of the way -- or at least attempt to -- in order to manage the workloads of young starters MacKenzie Gore, Josiah Gray and Jake Irvin. Adon looked sharp in his first start of the season last Saturday versus the Reds, tallying seven strikeouts with no walks over six innings. He was charged with three earned runs in the final frame after retiring the first 17 batters he faced. Adon will tentatively line up to make his next start either Friday or Saturday versus the Athletics.

Anderson (shoulder) played catch Monday at a distance of a little over 90 feet, MLB.com reports.

Monday marked the fourth consecutive day that Anderson was able to play catch, as the right-hander remains in the early phase of his throwing program while he works his way back from an inflamed right shoulder. Anderson could be cleared for a bullpen session later this week or early next week if he continues to respond well to playing catch while gradually extending the distance of his throws.

The Rockies optioned Seabold to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.

Colorado will swap Seabold off the 26-man active roster in favor of a fresh arm in right-hander Karl Kauffmann, who should serve as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen. Seabold was touched up for seven earned runs on eight hits and one walk over two innings of mop-up duty in his most recent appearance in Monday's 12-1 loss to the Brewers. After the ugly outing, Seabold is now sitting on a 7.65 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 82.1 innings on the season.

Reds manager David Bell said Wednesday that Lively (pectoral) could be ready for activation when first eligible on Aug. 17, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lively landed on the 15-day injured list a week ago with a right pectoral strain after he was demolished for 13 earned runs over four innings in an ugly loss to the Cubs. It sounds like the injury is relatively minor, though it remains unclear whether he will be asked to make a rehab start before rejoining Cincinnati's active roster.

The Rockies recalled Kauffmann from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of Wednesday's game against the Brewers, MLB.com reports.

He'll be joining the Colorado bullpen as a replacement in long relief for Connor Seabold, who was sent to Albuquerque after surrendering seven earned runs in two innings of mop-up duty in Monday's 12-1 loss to Milwaukee. Kauffmann has made three of his six appearances with Colorado this season as a starter and could be the next man up to join the rotation if the Rockies lose a pitcher to injury or if the likes of Chris Flexen or Ty Blach lose hold of their rotation spots.
