The Rockies recalled Kauffmann from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of Wednesday's game against the Brewers, MLB.com reports.

He'll be joining the Colorado bullpen as a replacement in long relief for Connor Seabold, who was sent to Albuquerque after surrendering seven earned runs in two innings of mop-up duty in Monday's 12-1 loss to Milwaukee. Kauffmann has made three of his six appearances with Colorado this season as a starter and could be the next man up to join the rotation if the Rockies lose a pitcher to injury or if the likes of Chris Flexen or Ty Blach lose hold of their rotation spots.

Carrasco did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over five innings against the Cubs. He struck out five.

Outside of a Cody Bellinger solo shot in the fourth inning and a run-scoring double by Yan Gomes in the fifth, Carrasco pitched well Tuesday and left the game with the score tied 2-2. The veteran hurler struggled in his previous four outings, allowing 21 earned runs in 15.1 innings with just nine strikeouts during that stretch. Carrasco is projected to face a tough Atlanta lineup over the weekend.

Taillon (7-6) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits without walking a batter over seven innings against the Mets. He struck out seven.

After surrendering a base hit to Jeff McNeil followed by a two-run shot to Pete Alonso in the first inning, Taillon allowed just one more baserunner and proceeded to retire the final 16 Mets he faced. The 31-year-old righty has now earned a win in four consecutive outings, posting a 2.28 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 22:7 K:BB across 23.2 innings during that stretch. Taillon will look to keep the win streak alive in his next start, which is projected to be early next week against the struggling White Sox.

Davis (undisclosed) made his first rehab start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday, covering three innings and striking out six while allowing one run on three hits and no walks.

Davis is likely to make at least one more rehab start in the ACL or with another lower-level affiliate before he makes his return to Triple-A Albuquerque's rotation. The 26-year-old righty has been out of action at Albuquerque since July 9 due to an unspecified injury.

Keller came away with a no-decision Tuesday in Pittsburgh's 8-6 loss to Atlanta, giving up three runs on nine hits over five innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The right-hander rebounded somewhat from a brutal last outing that saw the Brewers tag him for eight runs in five innings, but Keller still has yet to regain his stellar early-season form. The 27-year-old hasn't picked up a win since late June, going 0-5 over his last seven starts with a 7.22 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB through 38.2 innings. He'll try to find a way to get back on track in his next start, which could come at home this weekend against the Reds.

Chirinos escaped with a no-decision Tuesday in Atlanta's 8-6 win over the Pirates, surrendering six runs on seven hits -- including four home runs -- over five innings. He struck out five.

A Ke'Bryan Hayes three-run blast in the first inning set the tone for Chirinos' night, but Atlanta rallied in the ninth to take the right-hander off the hook for his fifth loss of the year. He's mostly been a disaster so far for the NL East leaders since being claimed off waivers from the Rays, lurching to an 8.56 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB through 13.2 innings over three starts, and it's no coincidence that AJ Smith-Shawver is on the same schedule as Chirinos as Triple-A. The 20-year-old struck out seven without walking a batter in a six-inning quality start for Gwinnett on Tuesday, and Atlanta could call him back up to fill the fifth starter role -- bumping Chirinos to the bullpen, or perhaps even back to the waiver wire -- as soon as this weekend's road series against the Mets.

Suarez came away with a no-decision in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

The southpaw hit the wall in the sixth inning, giving up three straight singles to load the bases with two outs. Jeff Hoffman bailed Suarez out by getting CJ Abrams to pop out -- although Hoffman then cost Suarez a shot at his third win of the season, and first since June 27, by giving up the lead in the seventh. Despite falling one out shy of his ninth quality start of the year, Suarez has posted a shaky 4.95 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 31:17 K:BB through 40 innings since his last victory, making him a risky fantasy option for his next outing, which is likely to come on the road early next week in Toronto.

Wheeler (9-5) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, giving up three runs on seven hits over six innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

The right-hander fell behind 3-0 through three innings on homers by Keibert Ruiz and Lane Thomas, but Kyle Schwarber quickly answered back with a pair of long balls of his own, and Wheeler stiffened once his offense got rolling. He's reeled off six straight quality starts, posting a 3.03 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and dazzling 43:3 K:BB through 38.2 innings over that stretch as he works to keep the Phillies pointed toward the playoffs. Wheeler will look to extend his QS streak to seven in his next outing, likely to come at home this weekend against the Twins.

Gray came away with a no-decision in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander failed to complete five innings for the second straight start while issuing multiple free passes for the fourth straight, tossing 58 of 92 pitches for strikes before exiting. Gray left the mound on the hook for his 10th loss of the year, but the Nationals were able to rally in the late innings. He now carries a 4.88 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB through 31.1 innings since the beginning of July, a tough stretch for a pitcher who ended June with a 3.30 ERA. He'll look to regain his All-Star form in his next outing, which is likely to come at home early next week against the Red Sox.

Williams (5-7) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies, surrendering six runs on eight hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Making his first start since a stint on the bereavement list, Williams set a new season high in strikeouts but was hit hard when the Phillies did make contact. The veteran right-hander's 1.99 HR/9 is the worst mark of his career during a season in which he's thrown 100 or more innings, and it's inflated his ERA to 5.00. He figures to have a little more success keeping the ball in the park in his next outing, at home this weekend against the A's.
