Taillon allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in Monday's loss to Houston. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.

Taillon got off to a rocky start Monday, yielding all four runs in the first inning. He gave up five hits in the frame, including a two-run double by Jose Abreu. Taillon then settled in for 3.2 scoreless innings to limit the damage. His ERA jumped to 6.66 with a 26:7 K:BB through 24.1 frames. He's projected to take the mound in Philadelphia this weekend.

Shuster will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Shuster has been knocked around in both of his previous two starts this season, allowing four runs in each outing while giving up 12 combined hits. He'll be asked to take the mound Tuesday in place of Max Fried, who was sent to the 15-day IL on May 9 due to a forearm strain.

Buehler (elbow) has been throwing bullpen sessions at the Dodgers' spring training facility in Arizona and will throw another Monday at Dodger Stadium, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Buehler continues to make strong progress while recovering from the Tommy John reconstructive surgery the right-hander underwent last summer. The 28-year-old has a chance to return to the Los Angeles staff in 2023, but it isn't likely to occur until the final few months of the season.

Williamson will make his major-league debut Tuesday in Colorado, Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

It hasn't been determined yet whether Williamson will make a traditional start or pitch after an opener, but either way he's slated to handle the bulk of the workload for Cincinnati on Tuesday. Williamson's numbers at Triple-A Louisville have been poor, although he has pitched better lately. He's a nice prospect but isn't a recommended fantasy option in Colorado.

The Cubs optioned Wesneski to Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Wesneski was a popular fantasy sleeper this spring, and while he had some good starts with the Cubs, he struggled with consistency in ultimately posting a 5.03 ERA and 28:9 K:BB over 39.1 innings covering eight starts. Kyle Hendricks (shoulder), could potentially take Wesneski's rotation spot later this week, although the Cubs' upcoming schedule gives them the option to go to a four-man rotation for a bit.

Milwaukee transferred Woodruff (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The Brewers have a tentative goal of Woodruff returning before the end of June, and since he was initially deactivated April 11, his move to the 60-day IL won't affect his recovery timeline. The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for first baseman/designated hitter Darin Ruf, whom Milwaukee signed to a one-year deal Monday.

The Brewers optioned Rea to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

After a brief stint in the bullpen, Rea re-entered the rotation Sunday but was lit up for four earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings. Eric Lauer -- whom Rea replaced in the rotation -- ended up coming on in long relief and captured the win after striking out six while permitting two earned runs over 5.1 innings. With the Brewers opting to send Rea back to the minors, Lauer looks as though he could recapture his spot in the rotation the next time Milwaukee requires a fifth starter.

Eder (broken foot) is expected back in mid-to-late June, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

The big 6-foot-4 southpaw broke his foot in a freak accident off the field during spring training. Eder, who underwent Tommy John surgery in September 2021, is very advanced and could move quickly through the upper levels once he's healthy.

Atlanta transferred Wright (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Shortly after landing on the 15-day IL earlier this month for the second time this season on account of a right shoulder strain, Wright disclosed that he expected to be out of commission for at least two months, so his move to the 60-day IL isn't overly surprising. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Dereck Rodriguez, whom Atlanta claimed off waivers from Minnesota in a corresponding move. A clearer timeline for Wright's return likely won't be available until he resumes a throwing program, but fantasy players should proceed as though he'll be sidelined through the All-Star break.

The Reds added Williamson to their taxi squad Monday, and he's expected to be formally recalled from Triple-A Louisville to start Tuesday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Williamson gets an unfavorable landing spot in hitter-friendly Colorado for his MLB debut, with his promotion to the big-league rotation coming in the wake of Nick Lodolo (calf) landing on the injured list and Luis Cessa getting released. The left-hander holds an ugly 6.62 ERA and 27:20 K:BB over 34 innings at Louisville this season, although he pitched well his last two times out in yielding four runs with 11 strikeouts across 11.2 frames. Williamson was one of three players the Reds acquired in the March 2022 trade that sent third baseman Eugenio Suarez and outfielder Jesse Winker to Seattle.
