Grove will start Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Grove will get at least one more turn through the rotation after also facing Arizona in his last spot start Sept. 14, though he's likely to serve as more of an opener Tuesday before Ryan Pepiot takes over, per J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News. Grove found success in his first showing against the Diamondbacks, surrendering two runs on two hits and one walk while fanning four over five innings of work.

Ashby (shoulder) will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday to start a bullpen game against the Mets, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Ashby landed on the injured list in late August due to shoulder inflammation but resumed mound work last week. He's expected to take on a relief role over the final few weeks of the regular season so he doesn't have to fully build up to a starting role, but he'll begin Tuesday's matchup on the mound since the Brewers plan to lean on their bullpen.

Sanchez (shoulder) is throwing from 60 feet, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Sanchez has spent the last two seasons recovering from a shoulder injury that ultimately required surgery in July of 2021. He was slated to face hitters in early August but had his rehab process paused due to shoulder soreness and received a cortisone shot in late August. While he won't return to game action during the 2022 campaign, it's encouraging to see Sanchez throwing once again.

The Mets reinstated Megill (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

As expected, the righty is activated prior to Monday's series-opener in Milwaukee. All nine of his big-league appearances to date in 2021 are starts, but he'll be pitching in relief for the remainder of the season. It will interesting to see how his stuff, which included a high-90s fastball prior to the shoulder injury, looks in his new role. Further, it remains to be seen whether Megill receives high-leverage innings and the opportunity for holds.

Rogers is dealing with a Grade 1 lat strain and will be shut down for the remainder of the season, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Rogers exited Saturday's start against the Nationals due to his lat issue and will be unavailable for the final few weeks of the regular season. However, his strain is considered relatively minor, so it seems likely that he'll be able to have a relatively normal offseason program. After posting a career-best 2.64 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 133 innings last season, the southpaw struggled to replicate his results in 2022, generating a 5.47 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 107 innings over 23 starts.

Elder was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Elder will return to the big leagues after being sent down Sept. 4, joining Atlanta's bullpen for the stretch run. The right-hander has produced a 3.67 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 30 strikeouts over 34.1 frames in seven appearances including six starts with Atlanta this season. William Woods was sent down to Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

Cobb allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday.

Cobb allowed an RBI double to Justin Turner in the fourth inning and an RBI single to Freddie Freeman in the sixth. It was the just second time in five starts that Cobb's allowed runs to score, with both of those instances coming against the Dodgers. The right-hander has been quietly effective with a 3.48 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 136:40 K:BB through 134.2 innings across 25 starts this season. He'll look to get back in the win column next week in a projected road start versus Arizona.

Heaney allowed two hits and a walk while striking out eight over four scoreless innings versus the Giants on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.

Heaney threw just 65 pitches (44 strikes) in the outing, which was his shortest since Aug. 13. Despite the short start, he was able to tally eight strikes for the fifth time in his last six starts, and he kept runs off the board for the first time since July 27. The southpaw now has a 2.66 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 92:16 K:BB through 61 innings across 13 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus the Cardinals in his next start.

Alexander allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five in 3.2 innings during Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.

Alexander struggled against the long ball during Sunday's high-scoring matchup, giving up three home runs over the first three innings of the game, including back-to-back solo shots in the top of the third inning. The right-hander has given up at least three runs in four of his last five outings, and he's posted a 6.14 ERA and 20:8 K:BB in 22 innings during that time. He projects to make his next start on the road against Cincinnati on Friday.

Darvish (15-7) earned the win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out eight over six scoreless innings.

For the third time in four starts, Darvish limited an opponent to two or fewer hits and no runs. He's won five straight outings, giving up just six runs across 34 innings in that span. The right-hander's impressive stretch has helped him lower his ERA to 3.05 with a 0.93 WHIP and 183:35 K:BB through 182.2 innings across 28 starts this year. Darvish will look to keep rolling in a road start versus the Rockies in his next outing.
