Cobb (6-6) earned the win over Atlanta on Monday, allowing six hits and striking out seven batters over seven scoreless innings.

Cobb scattered six singles in the victory and didn't walk any batters for just the second time in his past 10 starts. The right-hander allowed only two runners to reach second base, and none made it to third. He racked up 18 swinging strikes in the outing and fanned exactly seven batters for the third time in his past four starts. Cobb started the season poorly, posting a 6.25 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over his first seven games, but he has been much better since then, registering a 2.59 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 94:28 K:BB across 17 contests. Remarkably, Cobb's victory Monday was only his third over the impressive 17-game span.

Nelson didn't factor in the decision against the Dodgers on Monday despite pitching six scoreless innings, during which he allowed two hits and two walks while striking out six batters.

Nelson impressed in his first big-league start last week, tossing seven shutout frames against San Diego. He was arguably as dominant against the league's top-scoring club Monday, yielding only two hits -- a single and a triple -- and keeping Los Angeles off the scoreboard through six frames. The rookie right-hander racked up 13 swinging strikes and fanned six batters, nearly matching the mark of seven strikeouts he registered in his debut. Nelson has thrown 13 straight scoreless innings to begin his career and will almost certainly remain in the rotation, with a rematch against the Padres this weekend looking like his next trip to the mound.

Anderson (15-3) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out two batters over seven scoreless innings.

Anderson allowed only one extra-base hit in the contest and benefitted from three double plays turned behind him. The southpaw continues to get by without overpowering hitters, as he induced only four swinging strikes and punched out just two batters in the win. Anderson has registered three consecutive quality starts, pitching exactly seven innings in each of the three outings and allowing a combined five runs. He's been a remarkably steady presence for a Dodgers pitching staff that has been hit by injuries throughout the season, going at least six innings in 18 of 22 appearances since May 12. Anderson ranks 11th in MLB with a 2.62 ERA and is tied for fifth with 15 victories.

Bassitt (13-8) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 3.2 innings to take the loss against the Cubs on Monday.

Bassitt got off to a strong start by retiring Chicago in order in the first inning, but things went south for him from there. Rafael Ortega tagged the right-hander for a solo homer in the second frame, and Zach McKinstry belted a two-run shot in the third to make the score 3-0. Bassitt then gave up a pair of runs on two singles and a walk in the fourth before getting pulled with two outs in the inning. The veteran hurler came into the contest having not allowed a homer over his past eight starts, and this was the first time he's allowed more than one long ball in a game since June 25. In addition, Bassitt's streak of outings without a loss came to an end at eight. He'll try to bounce back with what looks to be a favorable matchup against the Pirates this weekend.

Ortiz will be called up from Triple-A Indianapolis to start the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Reds, Will Aldrich of MLB.com reports.

As expected, the Pirates will bring up Ortiz for his MLB debut Tuesday. The move is not yet official, as the Pirates will need to clear a roster spot before promoting the young right-hander. Between stops at Indianapolis and Double-A Altoona this season, the 23-year-old has generated a 4.56 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 138:38 K:BB across 124.1 innings.

Rogers didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Rangers, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out nine.

The southpaw took a shutout into the seventh inning, but doubles by Adolis Garcia and Josh Jung sandwiched around a walk chased Rogers from the game after 89 pitches (60 strikes). While he's 0-5 over his last seven starts, he's delivered three straight quality starts with a 22:3 K:BB over 18.1 innings, and Monday's outing was the first time all season he's worked more than six frames.

Garrett (oblique) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Rangers, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Garrett made a rehab start at Triple-A Jacksonville last week and will rejoin the Marlins to start the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Rangers. Since he tossed just 46 pitches at Jacksonville on Wednesday, it's possible that he's on a pitch count during Monday's nightcap. Whether the southpaw remains in the rotation or moves to a relief role following Monday's start remains to be seen.

The Phillies reinstated Eflin (kneecap) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

A starter before injuring his kneecap in June, Eflin is expected to pitch out of the bullpen going forward. The righty had a respectable 4.37 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 68 innings to begin the season, but it remains to be seen how he performs in his new role.

Greene (shoulder) said Monday that he expects to return from the 15-day injured list this weekend to make a start during the Reds' series in St. Louis, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Greene looks like he's ready to rejoin the Reds after he made his third rehab start at Triple-A Louisville on Sunday. He was lifted after just three innings, but he built up to 66 pitches and struck out five while allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk. The Reds likely won't push Greene far beyond the 75-to-85-pitch range when he presumably rejoins the big-league rotation this weekend, but he shouldn't face many restrictions in his subsequent starts.

The Reds placed Dunn on the COVID-19 injured list Monday.

Officially, Dunn is on the IL without a designation, but Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer notes that the right-hander dealt with an illness before exiting Sunday's loss to the Brewers after pitching three innings. With that in mind, Dunn's absence is presumably related to a positive COVID-19 test, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the Reds as soon as he clears the necessary protocols. After yielding six runs in the loss to Milwaukee, Dunn now sits on a 6.10 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 31 innings with Cincinnati on the season.
