Feltner (2-7) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Milwaukee.

Feltner turned in three scoreless frames before the Brewers scored a pair of runs in the fourth. He was then charged with two more runs in the sixth. The 26-year-old righty is 0-4 with a 5.54 ERA over his last five starts. On the year, Feltner has produced a 5.85 ERA alongside a 65:24 K:BB through 72.1 frames. He's expected to face the Diamondbacks at home this weekend.

Houser (5-9) yielded three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks over five innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win over Colorado.

Houser tossed two scoreless innings of relief in his last outing after he was rocked for 25 runs over his previous six starts, posting an 8.23 ERA during that span. He tossed four perfect innings after the Rockies plated three runs in the first inning Monday. Houser is now sporting a 4.83 ERA with a 65:37 K:BB through 85.2 frames. He's lined up to start at home against the Reds this weekend.

Gonsolin (forearm) is not ready to throw off a mound, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

He pitched from 90 feet recently but needs to be throwing at 150 feet at least for him to get back on the mound. Gonsolin is trending toward returning in mid-to-late September.

Flaherty (0-1) allowed one run on six hits and a walk over five innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against Washington.

Flaherty made his first MLB appearance since June 26 and looked solid. He fired 59 of 91 pitches for strikes, including 14 whiffs. Unfortunately for him, the Cardinals were shut out, resulting in a loss on his record. Flaherty has been limited to just 13 innings this season due to injuries but it looks like he'll be healthy enough to make an impact down the stretch for both the Cardinals and fantasy managers. He'll carry a 4.15 ERA into his projected start in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.

The Dodgers have an off day in the middle of this week and the middle of next week, so they can give most of their starters extra rest in the short term even while sticking with a five-man rotation. Pepiot could be recalled the next time the Dodgers want to operate with a six-man rotation or if someone in the rotation gets hurt.

The Diamondbacks selected Nelson's contract from Triple-A Reno ahead of his scheduled start Monday in San Diego.

Nelson will be making his MLB debut Monday, with his performance against the Friars likely to dictate whether he sticks around with the Diamondbacks as a member of the six-man rotation. The 24-year-old owns an unremarkable 5.43 ERA over 136 innings on the season, but he's shown significant improvement since making some mechanical tweaks in late May that enabled him to sharpen his command. Over his final three months at Triple-A, Nelson turned in a 4.61 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 85:31 K:BB across 95.2 innings.

The Cardinals reinstated Flaherty (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the Nationals, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

He'll be making his fourth start of the season with the big club and his first since June 26 after being shut down for just over two months following a setback with his right shoulder. After building up to 6.2 innings over the course of five rehab starts between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis, Flaherty looks like he'll be ready to handle a normal starter's workload as he steps back into St. Louis' rotation. Though Flaherty has been a major disappointment for those who invested in him on draft day, he still has a chance to salvage something this season and should be a strong fantasy option in nearly every league. He lines up for two starts this week against two sub-.500 teams, as he's expected to make his next turn this weekend in Pittsburgh.

Clevinger (5-6) took the loss during Sunday's 9-4 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

Clevinger permitted a single baserunner in each of his first three frames before falling apart in the fourth, allowing five baserunners and two runs, prompting his removal. Reliever Luis Garcia let all three inherited runners score, giving Clevinger his first start of surrendering more than three runs in his last five turns. The 31-year-old still possesses quality numbers with a 3.96 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 88.2 innings, though a 4.47 FIP indicates he's been slightly fortunate. He's currently tabbed for a rematch with Los Angeles this weekend.

Pepiot didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 9-4 victory over San Diego, allowing an unearned run on three hits and four walks while notching three strikeouts in two-plus innings.

Making his first appearance since Aug. 21, Pepiot followed reliever Caleb Ferguson and pitched a messy two-plus frames. The 25-year-old permitted two singles in the second but was able to escape thanks to a double play, however, he didn't fare as well after when an unearned run scored on a hit and two walks in the third. He was pulled after walking the first two batters of the fourth inning and ended up tossing 74 pitches while allowing more baserunners than outs recorded. It's unclear if Pepiot will stick in the rotation as Los Angeles currently has five healthy starters.

Williams tossed 4.1 innings out of the bullpen in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Nationals, striking out three while allowing two earned runs on five hits and two walks.

Williams made his first appearance since Aug. 20, when he picked up a spot start in a doubleheader game in Philadelphia. The Mets have since condensed their rotation to five men and also returned Carlos Carrasco from the injured list Sunday, though he only gave them 2.2 innings Sunday before Williams was summoned in long relief. Looking ahead, expect most of Williams' opportunities to come in mop-up scenarios out of the bullpen.
