Gore isn't scheduled to pitch during the three-game series against the Phillies, which begins Tuesday, and he could be available out of the bullpen, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The 23-year-old will receive some extra rest coming off Monday's scheduled off day, with Mike Clevinger, Blake Snell (groin) and Yu Darvish set to start in Philadelphia. Gore has a 2.42 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB over 26 innings through his first five major-league starts, but it's not a significant surprise to see the Padres showing some caution with his workload after he was limited to 50.1 innings last season. The young lefty should rejoin the rotation before too long given his immediate success in the big leagues.

Snell (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to start Wednesday against the Phillies, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The left-hander was scratched from his start during the opening weekend of the season due to groin soreness, but he's now poised to make his 2022 debut Wednesday in Philadelphia. Snell made three minor-league rehab appearances and threw 59 pitches over five innings during his last outing with Triple-A El Paso, so he figures to face some workload limitations in his first couple big-league starts.

Stone was promoted to Double-A Tulsa on Sunday, play-by-play announcer Brad Tunney reports.

He logged a 1.44 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 25 innings at High-A. It was a well-earned promotion for the 23-year-old righty, who made 11 starts at that level dating back to last year. He is an ascending prospect and could soon be considered a top-100 prospect, especially if he has success at Double-A.

Luzardo was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a left forearm strain, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. The move is retroactive to May 12.

The 24-year-old presumably suffered the injury during his last start, when he allowed four runs on two hits with six strikeouts and four walks across 2.2 innings Tuesday in Arizona. Luzardo will be eligible to be activated May 27, but it's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined by the forearm strain. According to Daniel Alvarez-Montes of El Extrabase, Cody Poteet will take Luzardo's spot in the rotation and start Monday versus the Nationals.

Urias (2-3) took the loss during Saturday's 8-3 defeat at the hands of the Phillies, allowing eight runs (five earned) on eight hits with three strikeouts in six innings.

Urias pitched well enough Saturday but was stung by four home runs and found himself in a 6-1 hole after the third inning. An efficient approach has served the 25-year-old well in the past, though offenses may be keying in on that propensity as Philadelphia hit all four home runs early in the count, including two on the first pitch. Look for Urias to switch it up during his next start, as he's currently tabbed for a rematch with the Phillies.

Marquez (1-3) earned the win over Kansas City on Saturday, completing six innings and allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out six.

Marquez gave up a trio of runs in the third inning, but he otherwise kept the Royals in check en route to his first victory of 2022. The right-hander induced 15 swinging strikes and fell one strikeout shy of his season-high mark. Marquez has had some poor outings that have resulted in a 6.16 ERA on the season, but he has also compiled three quality starts across his seven appearances. He lines up to face the Mets on the road next weekend.

Suarez (4-1) earned the win during Saturday's 8-3 victory over the Dodgers, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts in seven innings.

Two early homers gave Suarez a big lead and the 26-year-old did his job to prevent a potent Dodgers team from exploding, avoiding trouble in each inning other than the fourth. The lefty appears to have found his stride, going at least six innings while allowing three runs or fewer in three of his last four turns with at least six strikeouts and over 100 pitches in consecutive outings. He'll look to keep things rolling with a start against San Diego projected for next week.

Bassitt did not factor in the decision against Seattle on Saturday, completing 5.2 innings and allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out eight.

Bassitt found himself in trouble in the first inning, walking two batters and hitting another to load the bases. He managed to get out of that jam and kept the Mariners off the scoreboard through five frames before yielding a run in the sixth. He left with New York up 4-1, but the Mets' bullpen couldn't hold the lead, and Bassitt ended up with his first no-decision of the campaign. The right-hander has been great in his first season in New York, posting a 2.34 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 46:12 K:BB across 42.1 innings. He's slated to make his next start at home against St. Louis.

Gallen didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in six innings.

Gallen continued his dominant season-opening run Saturday, limiting Chicago to just three baserunners, although one of those was a Yan Gomes solo home run. In addition to bringing his customary run prevention, the 26-year-old struck out a season-best nine batters. He has a 1.05 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 34.1 innings. Gallen is scheduled for a rematch with Chicago next week.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 4-2 victory over Arizona, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Hendricks limited the Diamondbacks to a single run in the second inning and was never in any real danger despite putting runners on base each frame. The 32-year-old has now surrendered two runs or fewer in five his eight starts, though the total of 16 in his other three starts is a bit concerning. It all amounts to a decent 4.03 ERA and 1.25 WHIP, and Hendricks is currently slated to face off against Arizona again next week.
